Don't say that too loud my computer might hear you... Not that it matters but I do not run at any of those settings above, I already posted earlier how I was running mine. No skin off my bones gang, believe what you wish and run the game as you wish and I will do the same. In any event have a great day and enjoy I sure am! I would also note that I do not run Open XR for DCS, not that that matters either. I use Steam VR with my Aero for DCS. Never really found Open XR all that appealing with DCS - plus having to hack it in. Been a while though I may give another try at some point. Currently having fun not tweaking.

Absolutely. IMHO Reverb G2 is still best value for the buck for flight sims.

That is correct. Mode = Override any application settings. Setting = 2X. Could be I suppose anything is possible although I believe Supmua commented he did not see a difference either and he has an Aero. I was surprised to see the results after trying it just for the heck of it but I am sure taking advantage of it and enjoying it for now.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it or not, but was checking my settings: In DCS I have MSAA disabled in the system tab. I also have checked full screen as well. In the VR Tab, I however still have MSAA mask enabled with mask size of 1. Then of course in Nvidia Control Panel I have 2x AA set to override any application.

No sorry, for me no more context is needed. I know the results I got along with frametime improvement and how everything looks , and for me I choose Nvidia AA over DCS MSAA. If anyone would like to give it a try just to see they can, or not - makes no difference to me. Obviously for you it did not show improvement. Edit: And I do see a huge difference with MSAA off versus on with nothing set in Nvidia Control Panel. I could not handle MSAA off in that regard. So for me yeah, Nvidia AA beats MSAA in DCS hands down, great image and better performance.

I actually tried something this morning that amazed me. I turned MSAA off in DCS. I enabled AA in Nvidia Control Panel and set it to "override the application". I improved my frame time by about 5ms just making this change, and it looks fantastic. As far as 4090 - naw going to hold off for now. Will probably do a new build around this time next year so will just wait till then. Not sure I would benefit that much with me still running a 9900k.

In 2.8 with my Aero flying the Hornet in Persian Gulf Map off the supercarrier - I find I get lower fps now since 2.8 flying over water with no AI or buildings around, than I do even during start up , taxi, and launch off the supercarrier. This is just backwards compared to how it was prior to 2.8 for me. I always had lower fps during the carrier startup and launch sequence versus after takeoff flying over only the water. Very strange. And yes I have done a Repair(long) as well as deleting fxo and metashaders2 files. I am around 50 fps during startup and launch, and low to mid 40's flying over just water. Once I get up to around 20k ft it goes back up to around 50's to low 50's. Again all this over water. Now I was sidelined for about 7 weeks due to spinal surgery, resumed flying a couple of weeks ago.

Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев
dburne replied to Supmua's topic in Virtual Reality
Ok IF you can wait, it will be worth it. If you can't just get one the 1.0 if that is faster for you, and change to 2.0 when you can. -
Varjo Aero: Общее руководство для новых владельцев

Do your best to get 2.0. version. Valve currently have the Light-house 2.0 in stock. They are cream of the crop same as your Aero. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1059570/Valve_Index_Base_Station/ You can get by ok with one for only seated play, if you can swing it highly recommend two as all around tracking is really good when set up diagnal to each other. -
T-50CM2 Slider Axis with Detente - What do you use it for?
dburne replied to Shiny's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Congrats and enjoy!! I still feel the same about mine and I got it in Jan 2021. Using it practically daily. -
Hmm sounds like something that should be on Steam VR rather than ED. But seriously - i never reach out and try to touch my keyboard whilst flying VR in DCS - ever. That is just asking for trouble. Now I will say I have a VKB Gunfighter Stick and Virpil CM3 Throttle. Between these two I have lots of buttons/switches/axis available to me. Further to that I have Point Control with the aux button banks on each side of my VR headset, so that gives me 6 more buttons available to me.

This one is the newer one they will be opening for orders I believe tomorrow or there abouts - The E4. Not on that above list yet.

Well I will tell you when folks read these threads on multiple forums that extend pages and pages of info, and try to wrap their heads around it, it all seems just too intimidating to some I am sure. VR is really not quite like that - well it can be if one chooses to go down that rabbit hole constantly tweaking, changing settings, measuring performance, rinse and repeat. I myself do not do that - I just use the stock software/stock Steam VR arrive at settings and performance I can live with, then just fly baby fly and have a crap load of fun. Never cared much for running down rabbit holes, and one can easily get caught up in that by chasing their tail trying to squeeze "every little bit" out of their headset. I think that is one issue we now have with VR and flight simulators, all these posts on tweaking and tuning over and over likely scares some folks away that do not want to get caught up in a never ending battle with their headset and rig. VR needs to be easier, less friction getting into and out of, less friction getting things set up and running satisfactory. Until then VR will never come close to being mainstream in any game, much less flight simulators. So yeah to address your comment, absolutely with just a little work on the front end and not going crazy with mods, a real blast can be had in VR with DCS or most any flight sim. Btw - absolutely love my Aero.

Yeah I have been pleased with the Alpha L grip on my rotor as well.
-
After all the hours I have logged in with the Hornet to date, AAR is still something I just can not do.
-
Strange I use an Alpha L Grip on my VPC Rotor Collective and it recognized it just fine. But it is only grip I have ever used on it.

Yeah fully agree with that assesment.
