ah - yeah ... pikey found it . note that Ian editted the post much more recently to read" As of 2016-02-19, it has been tested with DCS: World 1.5.2.49392 and the 2.0.1.49921 Open Alpha. The most recent version and setup instructions can always be found on GitHub."

are you sure ENO? i thought Ian had a version of witchcraft that was working again... albeit massivley paired down but it did allow for some 3d manipulation of object placement. I am pretty sure there was an update posted somewhere after that particular post.
-
keep up posted ENO... i am very much wanting to start using witchcraft for my HELO missions... hoping that it will work well after the merge

dude - overclock that thing... i have a 2600k as well and just used the stock cooling - nothing fancy and hit the "autotune" button in AI Suite II software to clock it up to 4.5Ghz. it runs smooth with no problems.

Upuaut's Bell-47G/H-13 Sioux for DCS World - Teaser

oh my gerd.... that is great work. Man i want me some Korea terrain now. -
OK - i played your miz and from what I can see your problem is that it is just too dark for the ZU23 to see the helos. You do not need to set any ROE for AAA... by default they will seek the enemy. I deleted these ROE settings you had and tested in the dark ... nothing. then i replaced the zu with new ones... nothing. then i tested with a blue P51.... nothing. Only after I bumped the time up into daylight would they engage. This surprises me as I have built a multitude of missions in the past with low light (either dawn or nightime) and have never seen any issue with ZU23 engaging air assets. Is this a new feature or a bug? These ZU operators would not engage at night even when I was hovering right above them. I suggest you do a bug report for the nightime lack of engagement and try bumping up your time until they start firing. FlyInterceptmot démarré TEST MISTRAL.miz

same with mine... my 2600K has been hititng 4.3 GHz on a stock cooler for about 3 years now. i just bumped my DDR3 up to 32 with a recent sale i found and snagged a 1070. i suppose i should upgrade the CPU sometime but I just have not found cause to yet.

i love the gazelle - best wishes to PolyC as always

hey racoon.. is the avranches area modelled to any extent on the map? i am wondering if we will be able to build missions out around Operation Luttich between Avranchess and Mortain.
-
i think i read somewhere taht ED was only planning on putting the af in southern england ... not expect any urban modelling whatsoever.
-
I am wondering how terrain will be handled just south of the bottom edge of the map - i agree this looks good for crossbow but St.Lo is already pretty far south on that map already... I'd like to model Crossbow and even Luttich around Avranches but those operations might be too far south for this map?

hey gromit... have you thought about incorporating your script into some of the MOOSE classes that FlightControl and his GitHub group are working on? I like what you are doing and it would sure be nice to see scripts starting to fall under a central framework ... just a thought.

i think i screwed something up setting up eclipse... the intellisense is not displaying as i expected. I'll wait for the new videos before diving in further... in the meantime, I'm working through that online lua course. Cheers, -
Just a quick question for y'all… Given that Normandie is potentially scheduled to land in 2017, I have already been wrapping my head around some missions to build and leverage in what will be an immersive in varmint I'm sure. That said, I'm hoping there might be some receptiveness by ED to expose the unit list that will be included with the new theater? I am hopeful that we will have a reasonably representative list of ground units that includes convoy materials, armor, and anti-air. The specifics might be helpful in my mission planning - just thought I would ask :-)

what is the aspect of your targets? The f5 radar is not great so beware that a target moving abeam to you will generally not get picked up well. a head on aspect is typically the best. Also, are you at 10000 ft as well? the f5 radar and slew up/down so make sure your targets are within the radar cone. Finally, i dont typically enter DF MSL mode until I'm close range.

looks like yuo are doing it right... all you are doing with radial nav is flying angles between intercept points (beacons) you can use them to find new waypoints in the wild. Did you read Chuck's guide on them?
-
you can get a direction in the F5 by switching navigation mode to DF, UHF to Both and Tacan to A/A TR. Then get your wingmand to hit tone on UHF and voila... HSI points at them. youll even see the hsi swing and point when awacs makes calls.

MOOSE - Mission Object Oriented Scripting Framework
dooom replied to FlightControl's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
hey - no worries FC! I can follow the html setup no problem... I do note, however that the html version you link to at http://flightcontrol-master.github.io/MOOSE/Installation.html is not using Lua 5.2 as the execution environment in the screenshots... I'm thinking this should be 5.2 not 5.1 correct?
