    De-Conflicting WVR

no mods. and yeah my diamond shows up on radar... im going to try an instand action to see if i see it there.
  2. whoaaaaa. I dont know about that quite yet... me thinks I'll wait for a few more guini pigs to run through the system... i hate the thought of my ears being pegged and stuck in a left 3 G break turn by accident for a few days... :Flush:

    De-Conflicting WVR

^^thanks... something is definately different for me as I NEVER see that little "A".... I'll have to check the track out and look at the switchology. i must be missing something on the IFF panel.

    De-Conflicting WVR

hmm. I did that.. can i bother someone for a screenshot? or maybe point me to a page in the manual I'm missing/video that shows it?. I know my interrogation mapping works because i see the little diamond on the chevron on my center display in long range.

    De-Conflicting WVR

ok - i just checked the manual and flew the training mission again... i can't see an "A" anywhere... what am i missing? I have a single circle if I lock with magic in close range without radar, and a target box with ranging if I use special modes fwd/aft... i slave seeker head to tgt then I have a box with circle in it. No "A"... any ideas?
  6. having not played with Autogft, i am wondering if it is possible to airlift troops close to a combatzone and have them navigate and participate in the battle for control? Or do the battling troops HAVE to originate from the spawn/reinforcement zones?
  7. Hey all. I have been enjoying the M2000 again lately but am wondering how those proficient with it IFF/De-conflict when in tight WVR? I have no problem sorting at BVR with the radar and IFF but really get confused with the Magic when I'm in close with friendlies... especially on the 104th where there is equipment air-frames complicating the match-up. So how do you sort friend from foe when in tight? is there a HUD symbol i should be looking for like on the Su27/33?
  8. There was a V2 rocket site just near brix, south of Cherbourg... is there any amount of begging to have it modelled in game as a target? Also one at Couville... Source: http://www.atlantikwall.org.uk/v2.htm
  9. i think the first step is to post your lua file to allow us to have a peek at it. Cheers,
  10. i cannot decipher crash logs easily but I do wonder if your RAM is enough to host? Do you use the same PC to both play and host on? If so.... im not sure 16 GB would be enough.

    Bullet Cam

I vote April Fools.... no way the bullet could transmit data over that distance to phone... let alone process the imagery at that speed. Cool though... but I just don't buy it.
  12. i am really interested in some skirmish tank battles in Comnined arms TBH
  13. ... wow - i didnt realize the data captured from Browser searches on microsoft browsers... not sure why they think they need that info. The rest seems reasonable.
  14. So i am still seriously waffling on this... I just watched this video here and have to admit that the input lag really doesn't seem that noticeable to be honest... interesting thought on the 4:4:4 contrast though... That sony x800D sounds interesting.
  15. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/philips-philips-43-4k-uhd-60hz-5ms-gtg-ips-led-monitor-bdm4350uc-black-silver-bdm4350uc/10424421.aspx? seems $$$$ though. I'm scared to buy the Canadain tire tv linked in first post and not be happy but damn - 1K for the monitor seems steep
  16. hmm - maybe the monitor is a better option - there is a 43" Phillips at best-buy right now... what kind of frames are you getting? But then hearing of Gav's success makes me majorly torn over this... gah!
  17. So I am looking at buying this as it is on for 380 locally... http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/seiki-ultra-high-definition-4k-smart-tv-48-in-2997550p.html#srp I have a GTX 1070, 32 GB Ram and a i2600K at 4.3 GHz. Do you think I will be able to run DCS on this TV and should I even if I can? Is anyone regretting using a 4k these days? Cheers,
  18. As I only have beta, and 2.0 installed at this time, can I just merely uninstall the module and wait for future patches and avoid having to mess around with the PDF attached at the first post?
  19. awesome sven ... so to be clear, if i have no desire to use dynamic loading of moose, then i only need to sync moose missions to my github desktop and pull the latest stable release?
  20. i actually liked the old gunners much better.
  21. Lookup freesound.org
  22. get to know your plane profiles... picking up on little elements goes a long way in ID your bogey: Spit IX: big eliptical wings... dual intakes each side etc. 109K4: air intake left cowling etc: look the profules up and print them off - its a good exercise for a new pilot. As for dogfighting... the 109k4 is all about energy and fighting in the vertical. enter each fight ABOVE your enemy and don't be scared to dive away/climb and come back. Here is a great (and funny) introduction into dogfighting from an old friend: http://emdev.de/bookofnoob.html
  23. i uploaded a whole bucket load of DoW WWII missions. they all have AI and all WWII planesets in them.. you can fly them single player or multi... Look them up in user files https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/?arrFilter_pf%5Bfiletype%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bgameversion%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Bfilelang%5D=&arrFilter_pf%5Baircraft%5D=&arrFilter_DATE_CREATE_1_DAYS_TO_BACK=&CREATED_BY=dooom&sort_by_order=TIMESTAMP_X_DESC&set_filter=Filter
  24. I personally see it this way: Normandy will cost me $60. i'll likely spend 100+ hours flying in it before the close of the year. 60 cents an hour for entertainment that is supported and is promised to be expanded upon by the shop is a crazy good ROI. Don't forget that DCSW is offered FREE to the public with the Su25/TF51 and Caucuses. I don't see anything here to get twisted up about to be honest. Do some soul searching and ask yourself what you are entitled to for your money. In gaming, its a trade of dollars for experience - not unlike any other form of entertainment in the world.
  25. i use MIST for this purpose all the time with bridges. First i place a zone around the bridge ot map object i am setting as my target... making sure to encapsulate only the map target of interest. then i name the zone "bridge1" for example. Then i use a trigger to check if any ap object is dead in that zone with: do mist.flagFunc.mapobjs_dead_zones{ zones = {'bridge1'}, flag = 10 req_num = 1 } end then once MIST sees a dead object in Bridge1 it will fire flag 10 as true ... then my last trigger is usually a text message once>flag (10) TRUE> message to ALL "Bridge has been destroyed" i have also placed a zone around fuel depots at airfields and set the Mist flag to fire when 15 tanks are detroyed as an example...
