I am trying to ascertain if i can create a markpoint off of the SA page cursor but cannot figure it out. When i hit MK# on the SA it just creates a flyover point regardless of where my SA cursor is. My use case is that i may be using the SA to denote where a wingman went down to manpad or maybe a SAM circle is present... i'd like to make a MK point, WPDSG it and slew my sensors to the area to start a recon for threats. Can this be done?

good start my friend. I like to encourage creativity wherever it may lie. By way of advice, I might suggest you invest some time to build some character arcs in here. In reading your comic I felt you brought some nice visuals but you can still really hook the reader in by investing some time in fleshing out characters. Who are the pilots? Why are they there? Why do we care about them? What does it mean to us? Hey all, Is the procedure for using the AGM 65E really such a dance now? I tried using it last night and had to use two hands on my flight stick to lock and fire... i MUST be doing something wrong: set LTD/R arm - right side right DDI FLIR - lock target box TRIG Here is where i think i'm screwing up... Once tgt locked, I press trigger on hotas LTD flashes in right DDI, Sensor select left to MAV ... Mav auto uncages and slews to TGT. (I am still pulling on Trigger as when I stop the lock for mav is lost and it starts a search pattern again ) Wait for white box on MAV. Hit pickle whilst still holding trigger down. Is this right? I find it really hard to manipulate the SOI and pickle while holding the trigger down on my hotas warthog. Maybe my trigger spring is just too high but dang it really feels sloppy as a process. I'd also like to ask all youtube tutorial content creators to do us a favor and delete their old tutorials that are no longer relevant... there are a few out there that are teaching processes that no longer work making it hard to find the latest procedure. yup i REALLY want this to be addressed... i have two monitors and my kneeboard always pushes to lower right covering my MFD exports. I tried Kneeboard Builder but it just does not seem to work with the moving/resizing.

i'll give you that... No previous BoB ever came close to the immersion of our handling and click-pits. I was thinking more along the lines of scenarios... forgetting that what makes DCS different is very much the planes themselves. S!

thats a cool idea Spooky... i like the idea of a spawnable pilot in liferaft that can be rescued. The medevac script is fun for sure but there is something to be said for proper visuals in a sim. rescuing seamen/pilots or relocating/dropping dipping sonars or sonobuoys would be fun indeed.... ... now i want a MH60

maybe you are right... I am just having trouble envisioning what BoB done properly would look like enough to get me excited about it. I just *feel* like i have flown over the channel so many times in different sims. If I understood what a DCS BoB would offer different I might get super jazzed for it too. I am curious though.. What would a properly implemented BoB look like for you? Are we talking a dynamic timeline across the blockade/SeaLion/Blitz? Or is it sandbox channel battles with a full BoB plane set?

i guess thats why i am wondering whether they could just restrict product access in the store/server lists based on geography - i.e. they could produce Crimea but it could not be bought or played on in the Russian region... they could produce Taiwan but it could not be purchased/installed in the Chinese market. if China doesnt buy taiwan who cares... unless of course they would lose 100% of DCS access to the market with the offering in external markets. At which point any hope of creating maps that are inconsistent with foreign sensitivities would be moot.:censored::dunno: If i am a betting man then I would venture to guess Taiwan/Spratleys/Tibet etc will never happen. Just too much at stake business wise. The world is a big place and I'm happy flying the sim anywhere...

i wonder if geo political concerns preclude ED from offering different product portfolios to different customer regions. I can't imagine this map or the spratleys would be welcome in some sectors.... perhaps it would just not be offered in the server list or DCS store depending on geography?

i am sooo tired of BoB... i would much rather see something new .... North Africa/Mediterratian/Pacific Islands... the channel and bob are just beaten to death IMO

i cannot seem to access the Kneeboard settings page in 1.8.0.5 as per page 22 of KB Manual... it just shows Kneeboard Profiles under the Options tab with :modify" greyed out... I am wanting to resize/reposition my KB. is this no longer possible? Thanks.

anyone else seeing their armour having trouble pathfinding through the trees in Syria? I am turn 8 into my campaign and noticed that my armour cannot advance... it just runs circles throughout the olive groves...

Hey all, I replaced my SSD drive for DCS to a Samsung 870 QVO 1 TB. I had my old 256 850 EVO on a SATA 6Gbps and am using it for some work stuff now... i only had a SATA 3 open on the MOBO so that is what DCS is hooked to now. Is it worth swapping the SATA ports for those SSD so DCS is on the SATA III/6? Does it really matter? I noticed some stuttering over SYria last night but was thinking that was more of a SYria issue than a SATA one. THoughts? S

- does the SATA speed really matter? i have an older drive and only have a SATA 3GBps open.

Heyo I currently have DCS installed on a 250GB Samsung EVO SSD. its no longer big enough for my modules and maps so I bought a 1Tb Samsung QVO SSD. My question is this: Should i just drag ad drop the install over to by TB drive once its installed or should I install the drive, rename my saved games folder and reinstall the game and all the maps/modules? a Reinstall feels like a headache - would just copying the install over work just as well? Thanks for help.

Has anyone been able to peek at the dcs log attached and identify what my problem is? I checked the bios for P8P67 deluxe and its up to date as far as it can be.

i think the sounds are tied to the nationality in the ME... so if you make a mission and tie the su27 to a western or english nationality then the ATC will be in English. I think thats how it works

dcs log attached. I dont know what i am looking for in there... any ideas? Yeah - i dont think i updated the bios in some time... i used to get scared by that in the early 200s after some bad experiences with flashing and really never tried to do it again... maybe things are easier and more stable these days. dcs.log

yeah the more i look at this it makes me really wonder about the balance needed here. fast ram makes sense ... cutting on case, power supply etc seems like the logical part too... i dont need or care for LED lighting in a case. also is a 1TB drive needed for OS? probably only 256 needed for win10 as most of my storage is in cloud now.
