  1. What exacly u have? 2x8GB+2x16GB? + I spend 4 days optimising my PC and searching for my sweet spot. Follow those two and u will find your optimal settings. Be awere that VR is nothing to compare with 2d image settings optimizing. To be honest I struggle for months before I finnaly understand, that "CURE" for bootleneck in my situation was to PUSH settings UP - clouds, water, even textures to HIGH/Ultra and lowering shadows. Now I have rendertimes in OPENXR (All default resolutions) CPU ~14-15ms, GPU ~15-16ms in Apache in MP over Krymsk/Krasno. And forget about any mods for now - every mod can easy break frames Edit: How To Nail Your G1 & G2 Setup Optimized for Outstanding Views
  2. Was thinking about it, but I have 1000W PSU, my 3080 12GB never have MHz spikes, is undervoltage will have any beneficials in thise conditions?
  3. With OC CPU make shure that your Power Supply Plan is set to high performance, cause on Balanced my CPU was running at 800-1000MHz. Easy to check in Task Manager: VS
  4. With 5GHz like me and 3080 u should run stable 45fps in Apache on Multiplayer, 60fps any other module, 90fps during freelook/lobby/menu. Just find the beauty (course) of tweaking, optimizing, benchmarking, compering, testing, more testing, more comearing.... its realy fun, and overwelming in first digging thru forums. But Im shure youre be ok. Im defenetly more than 2000h+ in air, and Im 100% sure same amount of time I spend "trying to run DCS with better FPS".
  5. Rly? https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/
  6. Try use fpsVR without SteamVR... its same way thinking...
  7. As new user of HP Reverb G2 that came today after first "flight" I starded the "fight" with CPU spikes again. First what Ive do was instaling the Firmware. But in the end of the day I found that those "sp113237.exe" its just an unpacking things OF FIRMWARE that you must install from directory that it was unpacked and follow the pdf guide. For 30mins of flying in DCS works good. null https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-reverb-g2-virtual-reality-headset/33835976 EDIT: Looking thru flashlight or whatever its called to look around in VR, I found that my OLED 55" screen generates very much light so I just turn OLED to 0%. Maybe placebo, but worth try. Edit2: My performance shearching lead me to times CPU ~13ms, time GPU ~15-17ms after i put those 2 folders+1file as "READ ONLY":
  8. In E:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\graphics.lua on bottom I just find intresting, probably related adnotation: + instruction in graphics_redme.txt: Time for more testing, specialy that tomorrow my HP Reverb G2 will arive
  9. Someone post it on VR thread, but I think its not related to WinWing software, but generaly DCS build+SSA:
  10. After buying new GPU I install new system from scratch, so full formal c:/, clean drivers etc. And once again something pick my attention in DCS profile - SLI: Why its not on default?
  11. Both games works on OpenXR. AC defenetly better.
  12. I know bindong left throttle (X axis) to left engine in F/A-18C and Right throttle (Y axis) to right engine is more realistic, but if u did this try just bind "throttle both" to one of axis - X or Y and reply if it works.
  13. Sorry, what's the issue? Only thing I would suggest is changing the priority of the GPU to High Haha. When I saw "High" I assumed it stand for sth like "High priority issue" warning.
  14. I wanna fly 1,5h then sleep, but I think just to look on forum for second and for 20mins looking for solution for my MSI Mode Utility findings: Starting with checking ahci BIOS setting on SSD (DCS ssd!)
  15. Youre kidding me. When I see that option with 0% I never mess with it, and u saying it have minus%? Ill go check. Maybe it was placebo, but less shaking I had with default (guess 50) shaking in Special AH-64 tab, than on 0. Something more like "countershaking" with -1 amplitude: But maybe I was placebo
  16. My game crashed, with report: # -------------- 20220409-173829 -------------- DCS/2.7.11.22211 (x86_64; Windows NT 10.0.19043) C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll # 00000000 STATUS_SUCCESS at DA3F4F69 00:00000000 Zip attached. Then I just start google, and try to instal latest Visual Studio, that cause KERNELBASE.dll, but instalation keep crashing... so I go deeper, and deeper... So in the end simple VC++ took me over 1,5h to figure out how to do it, so I thought maybe it will help someone else, cause when look at forum found that not only me had this iussue. dcs.log-20220504-082354_.rar
  17. Its not mods - its Windows. I follow that Windows Visual Studio (VC++) library lead, because of bugs with fresh instal I had to use: Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall meta diagcab: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d After about 15 min of uninstaling everything with "Microsoft Visual Studio" or "Microsoft VC++" by this software above and Delating all files from today (during attemts to instal Visual Studio, to solfe Karnelbase problem, instaler left some files and crash during instal) in those location (looka at bin oryginal directory): I was able to instal those: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170 And run DCS without problems for now.
  18. My either, but any time that is set will probably cause bug. My thoughts are that now when DCS starts, the sleeping clock starts ticking, and after that time it turns off WMR and crush opencomposite. If u have timer on u can predict how much time u have left. With windows decide its russian rulette
  19. I think its sleeping time not working well with latest build, and WMR put googles to sleep and crush game. Try set to NEVER this: or in Regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Holographic IdleTimerDuration=0 Ill test and write feedback. P.s. Ive looked at crashlog, and found some karnelbase.dll bug, so went here:https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/kernelbasedll-is-causing-crash/111aa20b-b223-426a-b07d-7fe4daa01e46 Solution: ,so now cleaning about 30 different Visual Studios installed and after that reinstal newest: Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 - Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable latest supported downloads Those last ones before uninstaling... 2005 O_o
  20. Start Mixed Reality Portal Turn on Voicemeeter Check sound shortcut for proper speaker settings (Voicemeeter Input/Voicemetter Output as default in Windows) Start SimShaker then test sound in test.. If no sound in test again select A1, A2... device. (yes, select again same device) In SimShaker select any other sound device, software reset itself, then select proper device once again. Do the test again Run DCS. My setting looks like this. Buttkicker is connected to my AOG monitor with speakers. But was working well also with Front Panel on PC for headphones.
  21. Posted couple days ago with more "hacks":
  22. After every instalation/deinstalation of any shader mod (like 3DMigoto) I use DCS-Update-Witching-Utility to Clear Terrain Metacache, and FXO + Metashaders2. Prefiously I was using DCS Updater Utility option to Clear Metashaders2 and FXO every time I instal something new. It have to be a habit for people that mess up with files. Those programs have very similar function, Wiching have +1 option for that Terrain Metacache - to be honest have no idea what it is, but if its clearing more than GUI I stick to this
  23. I only use it to decrese render distance, but u can try use value highter than 1 in /Saved Games/DCS/Config/Options.lua in line 70 theres in my: ["clutterMaxDistance"] = 0,
  24. mine is: keep steam close. I dont run it for weeks. Run WMR first, clean enviorement, use seat mode.
