Not this way, I thought about giving it initial speed with rail gun, and then satellite would use its own engine. However the initial work to get it off the ground could be use by system of electromagnetic rails. Actually I have been thinking that if international treaty actually allows weaponization of space then we can expect colonies on Moon, then on Mars much sooner then after. I would actually do it the other way around then it is now. Allow military interventions in space, but not on Earth :P

Here's one! Launching sabot at Mach 5-6 with 0 gun elevation, that punches through 1/8-inch steel plate at 100 yards and keeps flying straight for 7 km. I would love to see satellites launched from equator with long magnetic track, but I guess weapons will be first to be put into operation... what a crazy world, oh well. Here's the video! Is there any checklist available other then one in the manual? I have great checklist for Black Shark that includes even keyboard shortcuts, but I do not remember who made it though :<

Note that Eagle Dynamics made you a favor and put GAME MODE just for you and alikes (COD4 crowd?). That is if you obviously belong to a group that do not understand the concept of STUDY FLIGHT SIMULATOR. I am a pilot in real life, and I paid ED to make this application to simulate real cockpit and its operations as realistically as possible. Why? Because it gives my brain a lot of exercise even when I am studying a/c that I won't fly in real life. I do understand why the have implemented GAME MODE for people like you - use it - do not rant about our needs. STUDY SIMULATOR is our part of this application, obviously what DCS was built for in the first place.

Whatever you say, the motion in DCS is 1.5 to 1 in (game value) TIR by default. This was confusing to me at first, because same profile that allows me to look at my 6 o'clock in other sims, made me look at my 9 or 3 o clock in DCS (dependent which way I turned my head).

Nope. It is not related. If you do not follow me then test it yourself. For example: +180 degree (Game value) in TIR drivers corresponds to +270 degree position in DCS. However I easily fixed it :P To synchronize DCS with TIR software correctly all I had to do in DCS is to saturate in its axis control TrackIR YAW axis from 100% to 66%. However this should be done by default IMHO (to not confuse new users). Now my head corresponds in degrees 1:1 to (game value) TIR input just like I see it in TIR software and it can't turn past 6 o'clock (when limit axis is on).

I think I know what you mean, I noticed Austin has kinda piss-off attitude towards developers' requests (in case of helicopters) and other sim developers. It was same story with BK117. It has this problem when you transit from translational lift, looses altitude to wildly. Many versions forward Austin still says nothing is wrong with his physics. People who have no self-criticism are very hard to deal with.

Oh yes, BK 117 is my favorite addon for X-plane so far. Money well invested :)

Patch 1.1.0.7 Still same problem, TIR turns in yaw (if limited) for 270 degrees instead of 180 degrees. This means range of view-yaw is 150% of the true TIR range. Devs? I am not an owl :) Or a rubber-neck ;)

Logbook will be preserved as long with your controller settings if you uninstall and install again. These are now saved as text .lua files inside your "userfolder/saved games"

Time will tell. I do not have big hopes for X-plane 10. I like it due to my two great addons I have purchased. One is from ND&ART Tech and other from Carenado. I use it to practice navigation for my RL flying, X-plane feels better then FSX when it comes to training yourself for RL navigation. For most of the fun I prefer FSX, especially now with its exceptional addon from VRS team.

False. I have been playing Americas Army 2.x that with TrackIR4 enabled on PB enabled MP servers. No issues. TIR functionality allows players equipped with it to look around in the car.
