LOL you know what I'm getting at but OK. I can only answer your first point with a question. Why wasn't the LO:FC dvd version of SF used in the first place? And why not use a CD/ ID checker for online play? If the former was already compromised then why not rely on the latter of an ID checker for online play like the rest of the PC gaming world? Your second point, as you suggest, is down to the individual and how they treat their particular hardware upgrades. But we have seen many PC savvy individuals use up their activations becasue they were not aware of or failed to use the reg back up utility. Yeah I know they didn't read the following instructions which were posted after they downloaded, regarding the .. etc . etc. But anyway at this point how can activations solve the problem of a Russian copy of BS that's already been cracked? If they want to shut them down then spend time on introducing an online checker, along with a patch to change the BS version making the compromised BS completely useless from this point forward. Once the crackers fart around offline for awhile they'll have to buy to play online or stop using which is no loss sale to ED/ 1C.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I'm asking, what I believe to be, relevant questions in a non hostile and respectful manner :). That was going to be my next question along with why LO:FC CP wasn't used in the first place, even though that might be an internal matter for those that made the original decision of which CP to use. LOL I know ... but we gonna have to phone Russia. Not a question just an idea of where we are going with all of this new CP that will make no difference to the pirates but will only make the lives of ligmit customers more difficult for no reason. Yep no reason. Also I can't understand why people are pissed with the staggered release. USA got Lockon before Europe if I remember correctly and it wasn't a big deal. Ok it wasn't three months but that's not really ED's fault.

The funny thing is that even if they don't post on the torrent sites and just download BS, ED can still ban them.. Yes it's easy for them to mach you up with your forum user name if you DL BS illegally and No they don't need a court order :smilewink: .

I'm totally aware of the whole .. lets say B. T. Wagner debate and I totally agree with the measures being taken to secure the product however I am less than impressed with this solution. I'm sorry but could someone clarify why those of us that are going to buy the DCS: BS DVD need to activate the product? LO: FC DVD has never needed activation, which is why I purchased it over the DL version, and that still remains uncracked. Are we being punished becasue a few num nuts were able to breach the security of the Russian version of BS? If LO: FC is still secure then why not use the same version of Star Force for the western DVD of DCS: BS? And how would you activate with out an internet connection?

Good luck with that. I doubt another module will be ready for release for at least a year after we get BS in the west. Realistically more like just under one and a half to two years.

At least now we know. My guess: Two different distributors, one for Russia and one for the west, selling BS at different times, is bound to conflict with the original release agreement between the two companies.

IL2 is the bench mark for combat flightsims in regards to online play for sure. I'm hoping BS will take that title from them or at least match it.

I've been a member of Hovercontrol for years and have flown lots of their missions, mostly SAR, in the toughest helicopters for FS9. It took me several months of flying time to master helicopters in that sim so I am dieing to see how I'll fare with the Ka50. Thanks for sharing.

LUA exported IFF to G15, via EOS isn't realistic. :doh: lol Although servers not allowing lua exports will make this redundant but if you're looking for realism then only use this for the F15 when in CAC mode.

Maybe I've misunderstood but notice the F (Cyrillic C if you have Russian HUD like me) that tells you its Friend not Foe. Also double lines on the contact in STT is Friend.
