Joystick setup Problem Need Help
Scarecrow replied to AngryMarvin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
If you haven't already installed drivers try these https://driverscollection.com/?H=ST290%20Pro&By=Saitek Have you checked the responses in windows? -
You're a very lucky guy. That's a gorgeous pit. Since you're clearly taking this seriously I would advise an extension for the Warthog, it allows for much greater precision flying:)

Nice job sir. It was only last week I did something similiar, using a CH Combatstick 568, I call it the Frankensoft Sidewinder 568 II CombatStick USB. I extended the stick by about 5cm aswell. I'm not a "handy" person so there was some anxiety after I'd torn £100 of gear apart.

Honestly, that is probably not going to happen. I think before ED can do anymore USA we need/have to get a Russian ASM aircraft from the FC3 lineup to be fair.:) Sorry for the OT.

Hello I was wondering if you could help me with my MS FFB2 mod. I'm not doing anything as grand as your mod, I'm grafting a CH combat stick onto a single MS FFB2. You removed the IR sensor from the circuit and replaced it with a on/off switch. What wires go to the switch? :) EDIT: Disregard it's the Grey and the white one.

This brought back some memories. I think we were just months away from the NTTR back then aswell:music_whistling: jk

Putting gun on target after rollout
Scarecrow replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I read on the side of a milkshake that after 10k hours practice you can become an expert at anything. The milkshake claimed to help in that process:music_whistling: -
Don't know if this has been asked but. Currently there are issues with HDR and multi-monitor setups. Will DCSW2 bring any change in how the HDR and the NVG goggles overlays are centered?

Maybe it's pre-release hype. -
Feedback and General Questions for Video Updates
Scarecrow replied to Groove's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Good job ED. It seemed to go very positively, I wasn't paying much attention to chat but the response seemed good. The crashes were to be expected from an pre-Alpha build. It has to be this year though, please :) -
Matt will give us a DCS World 2 Live Stream

I'm sure you mean irrelevant. Made me smile:) -
My first was Flight Sim for the ZX Spectrum 48k, rubber keys an all. I was only five and never managed to take off or land the thing but it's been a interest since that age.

Is a TM Warthog extension a good investment ?
Scarecrow replied to jfri's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Absolutely. 750 mm is what I'm using centre mounted on Wheel Stand Pro small plate. Only had it a couple of months but it is the mutts nuts.:) -
Maverick Always Wants to Target Power Line Towers?
Scarecrow replied to Ultra's topic in A-10A for DCS World
Been reported many times, the mavs aren't so much of a bug but more of a limitation of their simulation:music_whistling: The pipper thing is weird and the fact it hasn't been fixed already makes me think it has to do with the way the sim deals with absolute analogue axis data. Which might be to much work to fix:( -
HOTAS Warthog or Logitech G940?
Scarecrow replied to jjohnson241's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I run both control setups G940(BUO836 modded) a TMWH(extended center mounted) and CH pedals. I use the WH for jets and the G940 for everything else. I love FFB especially the additional stall warning you get so I find it is worth the PITA it is to swap it all to fly different aircraft:) -

Should I get Rudder "Feet" Pedals?
Scarecrow replied to sethshark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
A10 can manage with only twist stick but for helos and propeller driven aircraft pedals are a must. :) -

G940 Leds - working program :)
Scarecrow replied to morg's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The fact that you had to create the User\SavedGames\DCS folder has got to be the problem. I'm afraid I don't know why your install didn't create it, maybe be a steam thing? Best thing to do is start a new thread in the General forum. Title it something like "Steam user export difficulty" explain your install didn't create Users\SavedGames\DCS so you don't know where to put your export.lua. Somebody in there will know. Ignore Morgs files they are obsolete, just use Frostregens files. Cos all you should have to do is drop in the export.lua, run G940LEDs and it should work. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. -
G940 Leds - working program :)
Scarecrow replied to morg's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ok dokey. I had been shooting from the hip so to speak. Went in and had a look at the files. First off if you ever think DCS World is broken you can run DCS Repair from the sart menu folder. You cannot break DCS it can heal itself. Actually I don't think steam supports that, once you're more confident look up the thread on "Unsteaming DCS". The Export.lua is the one from Saved games that you should replace which you've done. The lights going off is normal when G940Leds detects a G940. Try it again but this time after startup of the aircraft switch off the auto governor. I think maybe the profile has no lights on if you just do start up but switching off the AG will trip Master caution and the emergency governor LEDs. -
G940 Leds - working program :)
Scarecrow replied to morg's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I don't think Morgs method works with DCS World. Svenvendevde re-wrote the Export for DCS world and multiplayer Ka50 usage. Then I think Frostregen used that as the basis for his Huey profile. Aha. Well then the Export.lua you want to replace is the one in the Steam apps DCS/Scripts folder. This Scriptsfolder will contain a bunch of others as in the attached pic. -
G940 Leds - working program :)
Scarecrow replied to morg's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The youth of today:no_sad: Just joking.:D Just use the files Frostregen provided, there is no config in the rar. In your Windows Start menu click the button that has your account name and it 'll open a window with your personal files, the one you want is Saved Games/DCS in there. The program G940 Leds can be put any where, it must be started before you start DCS World. It's tiny so I just leave it on the desktop.:) -
