Can I ask what is the big deal with these expensive cherry "mechanical" keyboards. I really am curious to know why they are so important all of a sudden the last couple of years?
-
Yeah Iron Eagle was way more realistic and far less homo-erotic.;)

here is why I may switch to A version of A-10
Scarecrow replied to WildBillKelsoe's topic in Chit-Chat
The A10-A would be great if it weren't for the Mavericks, they are pretty much useless unless your target is out in the middle of field. The Su25 makes a better trainer for target spotting and reading the instruments imho. :) -
You must believe..

Su-25 Frogfoot in FC3 - Cold War Warrior Campaign with Tacview
Scarecrow replied to Bunyap's topic in Su-25 for DCS World
Thank you Bunyap I really enjoy your tutorials. It made me have a go at the campaign also. This is another great campaign for the Su25 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=108164&highlight=revanche -
You'll be able to configure the rotaries in axes section of DCS options.
-
Anyone think being able to manually switch waypoints in FC3 aircraft would be good. I think it would help alot:)

I enjoyed the review of Helicopter Simulator 2014. You guys could do mobile device Flight based games, there are a fair few of those that would make for interesting reviews. -

Nice work:) -
Ok one question about the very nice vid They never mentioned the Me262, whats happening there? I'm so excited it's so damned close now:D

Speculation mode enabled. We know Edge is coming and those are storm clouds so maybe it's a little pre-release hype possibly. It's the Hormuz map that intrigues me and forgive me for being a kook but I think Hormuz = F18 Speculation mode disabled. :smilewink:
-
No it's a joke sir, sorry to confuse the issue. The changes to banners or Avatars mean nothing, you should know that by now you've been here longer than me:)
-
I think the clouds are ED's way of indicating that it's not Christmas anymore and that clouds are pretty. They only communicate project updates through changes in Wags's avatar
-
Yes it's amazing the kind of frantic response that milk and banner headings create. This surely means that the F18 has been cancelled in favour of DCS: Clouds :joystick:
-
Yes I remember we used to get milk in school, it came in plastic pouches. Good old Mrs Thatcher put an end to that though.:(
-
Hey guys I just bought four pints of milk and wondered if you guys had any advice for a milk noob just getting started.;)
-
Is it still Starforce? I hadn't even noticed. Never had a problem. Your point is only valid in a small number of circumstances, so you had a bad day and blamed a software developer on the internet. You don't need to be that guy:thumbup:

Paid campaign quality control measures?
Scarecrow replied to Highwayman-Ed's topic in User Created Missions General
I'm confident enough that the 3rd party campaigns will be high quality from competent mission designers. But I could see once a designer has published a few campaigns the upkeep of those campaigns could become a full time job. You'd really only want to write a campaign once rather than re-balancing it four times a year for 2..3..5 years maybe. I don't know anything about mission making but I bet it'd be a PITA. -
2 questions, pedals and G940 feedback
Scarecrow replied to McBlemmen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Had an x45 years ago, the G940 was it's replacement due to age. The G940 is a better stick, more accurate with a two stage trigger. The G940 throttle is not bad, split throttle and alot of buttons but precision throttle work, like tanking or formation, is more difficult due to the "reversal bug". Since you already have it, use the G940 is my advice. It's a wee bit better than a saitek. I've modded my throttle with a BU0836x and use my CH pedals and that's a nice setup. I did plan to run the G940 pedals through the BU0836x but can never find the time to do it:) -

Scarecrow replied to McBlemmen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The stick and throttle will still work without the pedals. If you can't fix them it's not a great loss.:) -

Scarecrow replied to McBlemmen's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Maybe a bit late but buy new pedals Saitek's or CH or Crosswinds. Please don't buy another G940 if the one you have is working fine. The stick is really quite nice and Logitech even got rid of the reversal bug on the Hall sensor. But the rest of the G940 is hindered by poor design/construction. If you're even only a tiny bit skilled (as I am) you can fix it though. Replacing or fixing the throttle wires stops the potentiometers from spiking, it does not cure the reversal bug. To cure the reversal bug you have to run all the pots in the throttle through another USB board like a BUO836X. -
3D pilot model, how to turn it off permanently?
Scarecrow replied to Art-J's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Actually all you have to do is set the option in the DCS gui to yes then ok it and then go back in and switch it off and ok it and then it will apply. :poster_oops:
