  1. Thank you kind sir :) Edit: Once I found it I realised I should've just used windows search in the DCS world folder duh. Thank you for not mentioning that
  2. I searched and found PeterP's thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84266&highlight=indicator+controls+move But the location of the .lua file has changed since 1.1.1.1 Anyone know were it is now?
  3. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84612 Here they are:thumbup:
  4. Very cool. Could you explain the sponge mod?
  5. The button presses function depends on what is being displayed on the MFD. For the same money you could pick up a used 15" lcd and attach the MFD's to it and have the actual viewports. That's what I did and it really is a game changer :)
  6. I've been thinking about an extension and center mounting for my G940. So now I have to ask a stupid question:blush: What is the function of the curve in the cyclic stick?
  7. It's because views are saved with the mission config in the mission editor so if the mission designer has a huge res you end up with a crazy default FOV. What you can do is get winrar or something like it and open (not extract) the .miz file, look in the config folder and delete the views folder. Then the mission will use your view settings. :)
  8. UK here so no guns but those are some very nice guns. Kudos on choosing target shooting over killing for fun:)
  9. Depth of field looks very nice :) I do wonder if the new IG will play well with multimoniter & viewport setups. As it is at the moment I don't use HDR or heat blur as the overlay gets misaligned and it looks... not so good:cry:
  10. Great question and answers. So much to learn :pilotfly:
  11. More free stuff. Crazy! TF51 should have been the free DCS WWII plane:music_whistling:
  12. I said huey but in truth it's alot harder to maintain a stable hover in the mustang :megalol:
  13. Ahh but I don't want them to have the most appealing aircraft for free, I want them to pay for that;)
  14. I'm not talking about seasoned flight simmers like yourselves I mean folks who are just starting out. The free aircraft should be more like a demo it should encourage people to buy more. With the free 25T and multiplayer you might not feel the need to buy a module for a long time whereas the 25 gives you a taste but it is devilishly hard when you are new. I love the Frog for its basic feel, it has a romantic characteristic, no gizmo's just dials and a sight. But a newcomer would probably not appreciate the differences and simply see the gadgets.
  15. I reckon the free aircraft with DCS world should now be switched to the Su25. Now that the 25T has had a facelift it will be far more attractive to general public than the vanilla 25. i would bet my reproductive organs that sales of the 25T would easily beat the vanilla 25. Making the 25T a paid addon will net more sales than the 25. Think of it from a newcomers' perspective, what appeals more the aircraft with a HUD EOS and a TV or one that doesnt have any of those. Folks who have already bought the standalone Su25 could be given a free 25T key and now everybody is happy. DCS world now has a Free Su25 with a lovley 6DoF pit for people to test the sim and that 25T icon screaming "buy me! I'm easier to kill things in". Just my two cents:)
  16. 6DoF Toad for free is a huge mistake, there I said it.
  17. The Su25 winter shots look great. I'd say it's time for a public Beta
  18. I'd like DCS world to offer more FFB tuning options by integrating simFFB by Average_Pilot or something very similar. Please add your voice to this thread in the DCS wishlist forum http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2021690#post2021690
  19. Please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please integrate Average pilots SimFFB into DCS World. The ability to set the dampener, friction and spring force is much better than the current implementation. :)
  20. Unlikely, that'd require a super computer to calculate in real time.
  21. (no evidence what so ever) I think eventually we&ED will wave goodbye to the current map. To add to the current map you would have to use the same lower resolution topography for it to be one big map. (still no evidence to back this up)
  22. CORNER will of course be truly multi-threaded and support Quad crossfire; Occulus Rift and quantum computing in alternate dimensions where goats have enslaved humanity ?
  23. Response to Artman_NL's wondering about EDGE hardware requirements.
  24. I bought Take on Helicopters the other day as it was 90% on steam. I thought "ok this isn't going to be as good as DCS Huey in terms of flight modelling but it'll be a visual feast." The Arma2 engine has been used alot in bashing DCS worlds visuals. But TOH looks very similar to DCS after you've toned down the visuals to get reasonable frame rates and the map is tiny compared to what we have in DCS. I'm glad I was born in the seventies and can remember when graphics used to be 2 or maybe 3 colours on screen.
