How to effectively use countermeasures?
Scarecrow replied to Qosmius's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
This tutorial whilst tailored to the A10c CMS is relevant to any aircraft.:) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=125061 -
Voted yes, the aircraft are fun to learn but without an immersive, period backdrop the interest soon wains.:)

Looks like I booked my holidays for the right week, end of August into September. :)

SHIII really was my favourite. I never got as excited about SHIV. As others have said though if you mod 4 or 5 up they both hold up quite well so it's really down to what you like being.. an American or German. The guys at subsim are real nice and will give you the best advice for what "mod soup" will suit you.:)

I get what you're saying about the continuous development cycle and the introduction of bugs, changing ME scripting that rendered much of the initial community made content useless. Its frustrating for sure, but we all want newer and better features and its a rocky road sometimes but improvements are needed to make the sim better and to draw in new customers. On the subject of communication though; here is a very interesting lecture video on the subject. I just watched it this morning, Sithspawn has it linked in his sig

I agree that while it may not be a bug real pilots can communicate target positions over radio and direct their wingman to attack these targets whereas in the A10a,Su25,Su25t we have no ability to direct our wingman rendering them useless in alot of situations. I find "The Valley" campaign for the A10a really suffers for this.

My rewards were the Strategy guide and 2 manuals. I don't mind ED dropping the physical rewards at all. It'd be cool if they did something for the 1000$ backers though.

How do we tell if our jamers are turned on in the su25t??
Scarecrow replied to Raven434th's topic in Su-25T Issues
In the 25T the "IR jammer" indicator lamp and the "marker overfly lamp" are mixed up I think. If you look at the HSI and switch on the IR jammer there is a red "box" just under the HSI when it's active. The ECM has no indicator lamp at present. Hopefully this will be corrected someday. I imagine that ED have alot to deal with at the moment with EDGE and 3rd party drama.:) -
What do you mean by that? Still to zoomed in or what, post a screenshot if you can. :)

Try zooming out with NUM / Oh and welcome to the forums.:)

Been playing around with the A10A and noticed a couple of omissions that got me thinking. Fire Extinguishers:- I don't know if this is part of ASM but it sure would be handy to have a key for left and right fire extinguishers. Audible autopilot notification:- that "ding" noise you get in the C, don't know if it's in the A model but it would be a nice touch if it is. I can't think of anything else that wouldn't be straying into the realms of "make it a PFM module" but ...how awful is the Maverick target aquisition logic, makes me cry sometimes:cry:

[DCSW: Mi-8MTV2] English Cockpit Mod
Scarecrow replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thank you Devrim, I wouldn't have bothered buying this module today if your mod hadn't been available. Whilst I enjoy the challenge of learning to fly the aircraft I have no time for the challenge of learning to read another language :music_whistling: I reckon ED should throw a couple of beers your way, you've pretty much done the job for them:) -
I'm a complete noob to the Eagle. The operation of the flaps seems to be all in or all out, is that correct?

Export.lua and Co-Routines - how to do it right?
Scarecrow replied to Flagrum's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software

Target Cursor WAY too sensitive!
Scarecrow replied to apoll's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2060396#post2060396 The best way to do it is to assign the slew keys from DCS to the axes in Target. That way you get decent precision and you can slew it around at a decent speed when first aquiring a target. :) -
Ok look in your saved games folder ( C: users/username/saved games) for the DCS folder. Go into the config folder then view and delete server.lua If this doesn't work delete the same file in your install and repair DCS. Same thing happened to me:)

Flaps toggle command is what your looking for.

Would be brilliant if we could assign a press and/or release action for a button on our controllers in the GUI. I can't see how this would be to difficult, please team make this possible:thumbup: i don't know how guys with dedicated pits are managing after the 1.2.8 shakeup, must be a nightmare.

CONGRATULATION for this new version 1.2.8...

Just finished a quicky in the new Su25T pit. Thank you so much for the update and all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes :)
