  1. Would love a plane like that. But OMG how many buttons does that thing need? I really like the routing of that red cable thing.
  2. I dont think it works in full screen only windowed. I wish there was an easier way to get a second monitor to show the abris/shkval. Not sure why its so difficult. I did it long ago by messing in the config files. There used to be a bunch of threads on multi setups. None work in multi I dont believe.
  3. Not sure what I did last night when drinking, but I managed to get it to work. :)
  4. Uninstalled BS because trimmer was not holding at all. Instead of trying to figure out what I accidentally changed, I decided to just reinstall. Now I can not patch 1.02. It says its already installed. When I start BS, top of the main screen says ver. 1.0. There is no link in the control panel installed programs list so I can not uninstall in there. Anybody tell me how to make it not think its installed?
  5. Yeah, I have had the problem too. Always when turn to target is used. Sometimes I am just slewing the shkval around in front of the heli and it spins around. Have no idea what it could be looking for as the target is in front not behind. Little yellow box on abris is even in the correct location when it spins around.
  6. Better multi screen in general. Should not have to use lua script to make multiple monitors work I would think. Windows knows what monitor is where, can DCS use that monitor designation and resolution information? Or a menu window inside the game. We have the ability to set game resolution on the main monitor in settings. Is it so hard to have that menu also work with multi setups? If the Cockpit MFDs have an output channel in the game, seems like it would be easy to designate that output channel to monitor x if the multi screen box is checked. That would be awesome.
  7. Not a clue, does the mission replay seem like any other time you may have flown the mission? Maybe it didnt record your last try for what ever reason and it was replaying another mission you flew.
  8. Figured that would be the answer. They seem too soft on their border though. Hopefully the final will have them looking a bit more grounded.
  9. Thats a bunch of acronyms. When Can I buy the manual, seems like lots of new stuff to learn.
  10. I realize its a WIP. What are the black cloudy areas on the ground? Concrete looks amazing, but the earth looks just blurry and low res. I hope the ground detail matches the runway detail in the final. Stop showing those amazing F15. Will get the fighter jocks begging for DCSE again. :) Also see some F16 in there. Are those new models too?
  11. So, its an abris with radar added on.
  12. Can you speed up time like in IL2? If so, just increase speed of time and then you will be going really fast, right into the ground. :)
  13. What is a TAD screen?
  14. Mine seems to fly that fast. I am talking about the on a/c cameras, not the cameras mounted in other places. Also, not sure what camera speed they are using in that video, that can make a huge difference. I would like to know what the giant pods are at the 1:51 mark. Also, I have trouble getting my BS to make that upward 180 turn. I also find it impossible to get my BS to fly sideways at speed. not sure how fast that pilot was going when he was flying sideways though.
  15. You want the BS to appear faster? It is obviously not a jet. They are not race cars. If you feel the need for speed, grab a copy of FC2.
  16. I have mine set to 120 out of both sides. So a total of 4 flares each time I press the button. I then drop left as close to the ground as possible and extend. Most SAMs come at my forward sector. As long as I am moving I can usually evade. If I do not know where the sam is, I am dead.
  17. Where can I read up on the missile evading tactics? I have not played a jet sim in ages and have no idea how to combat against missiles anymore especially if the barrel roll does not work anymore. GG you seem extensively versed in the tactics. Got any good sites I can visit?
  18. Yeah, the road building was very intuitive. Just draw where you want it and the engine removes trees and levels areas that are too extreme. In the other videos I watched it did not appear that the trees were billboards. They looked much better than DCS trees. It appears as though the ground has very precise physics already. The truck reacts to all the small differences in the dirt road video. If that was DCS or just about any other engine, it would be a more general reaction I suspect. The plane does not land through the ground either. Looks pretty ready to me. I think developers need to release their product to prospective clients at this stage for a slightly reduced cost. Then the clients can start using the engine and determine what things would help them get the most from the engine. I would love to be flying through that terrain though.
  19. What is Vne? I have a lot more fun flying the BS with my G940 than I did with my center sprung. I should have tried removing the spring to see if I could have gotten a deader stick feeling like the 940 provides. Would have been cheaper to buy pedals than the 940 by far.
  20. That outera engine is absolutely amazing. Wonder what sort of damage modeling it has? What happens when you drop a bomb?
  21. Absolutely nothing, but it looked impressive. :)
  22. This is the problem with A2A MP. Its always air quake. What is the mission if not air quake? You have a su25 and a10 in fc2 for A2G, right? Add in the BS and you have 3 a/c. So, all the other a/c play air superiority and shoot each other down. The only real mission objectives always seem to be to take out tanks. That is for the 3 a/c that can do that. This is why I do not understand the A2A desire for the upcoming DCS editions. Better AI for the ground troops would make the missions better. What would be best is a sort of interactive ground force. Sort of like the online war simulation games where you can be the commander. Like RISK. When the mission starts, all the players are in predefined locations like chess. Then as the game plays on, the commanders move their forces to react to the changing battle conditions. The commander would be a human that controlled the forces using his reports from his human pilots. So, when I fly toward the enemy and I notice that they have moved, I tag their new position with my arbris and my commander can then route tanks in that direction. I only have BS, so it doesnt really matter what server I play on, I almost never see anyone. Rookie Terrorists is about the only one where I see other human pilots.
  23. From the appearance of the mig25 engines I can believe they were inefficient. Looking at images they seem absolutely massive. The thing should have easily been able to beat an SR-71
  24. Amazing stuff. Now, where is the blooper real?
  25. This is possible in FSX, but I remember reading about some difficulties, not sure what they were anymore as that was a few years ago when I had a copy of FSX.
