Amazing. Simply amazing that they thought men would read the instructions first. I always just tear into my little projects and start going till I can't get it to work. Then start reading the instructions.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
power5 replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
There are so many awesome Cold War a/c that if anyone created a semi realistic sim based on them, slightly better than FC2 but no where near the complexity of DCS, I would purchase it in a heartbeat. Those are by far my most favorite of air craft. They were so experimental. Now all aircraft are starting to look the same. EF is one style, then the F22 shape is the other. Not many other Gen 4.5+ shapes in the air. I hope Jet thunder can maybe fulfill my dreams of a sim with planes from that era. -

Wow, thats and impressive take off. Water is a bit different than a wave of rocks or shrapnel though. -

Obviously CG. They were flying like they were in fighter jets. Love how fast it snap rolls when wings are shot off. -
Looks like an RTS? Great fire effects. Great involvement in the action though. Actually feel like you are part of it instead of moving pieces on a chess board, which is how most RTS feel to me. Missiles look more like SRBs on the shuttle though. Not sure if there is that much flame in real life.

Yes very much. I can not see the link at work, but I am guessing its the newer BSG chica Starbuck and she is flying a Viper which is what their Fighter attack ships were called. -
^^^ Thats awesome!!! I heard the original shuttle was not supposed to carry big equipment to space, but the program kept getting more and more duties tacked onto it so the shuttle kept getting bigger and bigger. We can launch satelites without people so the next shuttle only needs to be big enough to carry a few astronauts. I would think we should be able to make unmanned deliveries to the space station by now as well.

Do you lay back real far in an F16 sort of like an F1 driver? Seems like the pilot in that photo has his knees up pretty high. I will take the F15 cockpit over the F16 as well. -
Pretty sure you can mark a target zone in your abris. Pretty sure you can draw a sam zone as well. I dont know if the abris can do it automatically though. I know I have drawn on the abris before.

Son of a Bitch. I was just reading and drooling over the PDF then read the thread and now its gone. :( Hopefully you get it back up as I really want to incorporate it into my Helios profiles like the airport charts one that Capt LOLz did.

no idea how they can slide their feet like that when they are basically on their tip toes of their foot supporting all their weight.

It should be able to open the correct exe from the launcher as vincent stated. The launcher is just telling the computer to open the exe file, isnt it? The launcher would be shared between them, the game exe would be launched depending on which ac you choose. There is no reason to add BS textures and such to A10. Buy both if you want both ac. But instead of having to shut down the launcher and reopen the launcher of the other, just allow a single launcher to start either exe. The launcher just has to work with either install content so if only one is bought there is no excess data. To play online though, wouldnt both games need the same texture installs?

Laser is aimed at your target box in the HUD. If that HUD target box crests a hill and points at sky, the range should go off the scale. Should not happen if you are locked on a stationary target though.
-
you can add targets and zones on the abris. I believe it works with the DL as well, though I do not use DL very often as I am usually in SP. Read the manual. Should be in there.
-
with auto turn you do not need to pilot the helo. You just worry about the weapons employment. I have not had problems with auto turn to target button when I play. Rockets do not work well from a stationary helo. You should really be moving forward to employ rockets.

Take On Helicopter - New game by Bohemia Interactive

The world is amazing compared to DCS world. I love the near perfect realistic Systems and FM of DCS series, but seeing people fly around in that sort of world is so impressive. Seating position seems very strange. Like pilots head is against door glass/frame. Seems too high. Could not find a video on youtube with real start up and settings. Lots of crazy flying though. What is the violent shaking that seems to happen at random times? Turbulence or something with the piloting skills? -
Wait you were at 102k feet? Were you in a shuttle?
-
Nice moon silhouette though you are at 35,000ish. Got a ways to go to get to 80k.
-
You mean it has one side vs the other side. Lots of explosions and running. Yeah, its a movie about a war. How would you make a good war movie. Would love to hear how you think hollywood can do war better and make it less "boring".

DCS Black Shark Ka-50 Start-Up online web
power5 replied to helloyou22hn's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Awesome work. Cant read any of it but most of the steps looked correct. I think you turned on the altitude hold AP button though and that is not needed. I think you are starting the engines before opening the fuel cutoff valves as well. Great work though, rep inbound. -
That side by side was sweet. Shows that the smoke is not quite thick enough though. Absolutely awesome flying though.
