I thought the avenger needed no instructions besides "point it at the ground near target and pull trigger till the ground splits open and hell engulfs the target area."

There is a switch on the back right panel that turns on the autopilot switches. Don't remember what its called. Without flipping that switch the autopilot buttons will not light up.

Great video. Music is a bit too loud though. Love the news report part, added a real feel to it. Nice take down of the flanker taking off.

I would be happy with a movie or predetermined animation that shows the pilot climbing out. So anytime I press the "get out" button and the plane fits certain criteria, the animation would do its thing. Just like the eject sequence is the same every time only the plane changes. Just make a sequence for climbing out instead of rocketing out. Does that make sense? I hate sitting there at the end of shutdown and being like, "ok, menu, quit" Its like the mission was cut short or I should be doing something to end the mission...

I did, but it did not say anything about being in flight or just taxiing. I would be very impressed if the HIND could have survived a midair collision as well as it did and be able to autorotate for a safe landing.

I vote phantom. HAF is not quite sleek enough for my taste and LianLi are too bland for me to spend that much.

Old Old post but do you have more info on what happened? Did this HIND collide with another helo in flight? Looks like the cockpit was struck by something.

Yeah, too bad there was not an AC130 circling to take out the fleeing rats.

Thats what I mean. It was not too bad. I was not really playing for any purpose except testing a mission I was making while my Hotas was not plugged in. It was not that easy to do good maneuvering but for point to point flight it was not too bad. I mean DCS BS not A10. Not sure how that would work with keyboard.

Superb flying. Pretty sure I would have been dead almost immediately.

I played DCS with keyboard and it was actually quite easy. It basically trims every time you press an arrow key. One arrow click up would pitch the nose down and hold it. Of course you need to keep the control view window open to know where your trim is at.

That can not be all thats left of the hog. When I crash in DCS world there is much more of the AC than that. The Army needs to work on their realism.

590 can do surround view of 3 monitors I believe. Of course a 5870 can do 6 on a single card.

HT was shown to decrease performance in A10 I thought. Could have sworn I read that people had to disable it for better performance. 6970 is a big step ahead of a 560 in most games. You can also get a 6950 and bios flash it to a 6970 for equal performance and save some money.

About time the future hit the water. That GD boat looks very cool. Not sure about the shape of the bow though. I would have thought they could have created a deck of some sort that did not follow the shape of the pointy hull. As it is now, the front of the ship is useless. Though I guess its just a floating helo pad.

That would be a single position option. Meaning you could start a campaign as Pilot or RIO and not be able to switch out ever. RIO do not jump in the front seat when the pilot wants to be the radar man for a day.

I have no AP loss of control when I hold the trim button so I am not sure how a AP disengaged pilot has any advantage over me. Pure skill will likely put them at an advantage over me as I do not get nearly as much practice as I would like.

Who cares about the bomb flinging. I am loving the shadows and the reflections on the canopy glass.

Radar and many systems operations will be faked as that info is probably what is keeping DCS from making a sim. Start up in US a/c is typically much easier than a RU. BS is very complicated, but the A10 takes only a couple switches to start the engines.

Can not wait for this sim. Just keeps looking better and better.

Would love to see a race between these two in the vertical. Fly straight at set speed and both pull to vertical and climb at full speed and see who can clear 40k-50k feet first.
