Hi mate, thanks for the reply. Exactly that. I was curious as to why the update for CA and not for DCS world, and will specific bug fixes for CA, such as those mentioned at 6 and 9, work with DCs World. In which case, do we need to purchase CA to address these problems currently if people havn't got CA installed? thanks regards 'T'

Im wondering why my post was deleted? sincere thanks for the update to CA to the Ed Team. Great news. The request about the CA Update affecting DCS world was a genuine question, considering the following in the update thread: 6- Mission designer can now determine which ground units can and cannot be controlled by players (1st person and Command Map). 9- Unit resupply added during mission, tied to cargo trucks and warehouses. so my question stands please. You're entirely welcome. and NG?
-
Fair comment. IMHO this will lead to passive mission servers. We have enough trouble as it is keeping the fast movers off of slower ones on 'open' servers or even semi 'closed' ones. This, even when they are on the SAME SIDE. 'T'

Good god eth! spit.......spit........ I do hope thats a personal opinion? Your comments as a moderator and testing status, can sometimes be mis-interpreted and therefore construed as an official statement. Glider? Has NG more influence on this past the P-51? which.......incidentally, i was literally present for. Regards 'T' PS: PM is fine.

Why do convoys just split and stop when attacked?

KEEP GOING! -
I informed mustang of this a while ago, almost immediatly after 7570 came out. I think it is part of the pre-caching system, in that if another mission is referenced a specific mission, then that mission will be copied inside the .miz file. Have a fairly complex mission with multiple directions the overall campaign could take, and you can see that the mission file will soon mount up. This is the reason why we have seen huge mission files since 7570, except those of us who have relaised this truncating bug. I too have tried deleting the miz's 'inside' the main mission file, but i noticed significant problems of stability of the mission, CTD's, server crashes, client disconnects etc. What i do, is ensure that 'only' one copy of any mission is referenced 'inside' the .miz file by changing it to a .zip and deleting completely any .miz's inside. save the mission file as another name helps, but you have to be very careful about truncating the missions inside the .miz File. You will then have to open the mission again in ME and select the trigger entry for referencing and re-point to the new mission. It's very difficult to explain and im not sure i did explain it well enough to Mustang to be frank. Hope this helps. If you're a little lost still, let me know and i`ll make a vid for you. much easier to explain what im on about like that. Regards 'T'

Win a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog during VFAT Weekend
Heli Shed replied to Ells228's topic in Community News
Well, whoever number 49 is, congratulations on behalf of everyone from the 74th. Good form Ells! Regards 'T' -
Rubbish. FC does not track, never has done and unlikely it will be implemented either. I'm sure you probably know that anyway. G2 is not modelled. The article, which is not an article but a forum discussion, is by members of the 74th discussing CURRENT parameters. Next patch = start again. Most of us are used to that concept with the titles. Nature of the beast. We're not ones to get tied down in theoretical bollox usually and so at this point, I'll pull from the convo. It seems if you wanna be taught 'how' to do something with this sim and some basic reasons why, with a no nonsense approach, come to our workshops. If however, you are interested in the in depth knowledge of the workings of the seeker head of the various maverick missiles, then eat Wikipedia and book yourself in with eddies VFS. I'm booked in for your workshop ed. can't wait.:book: Regards. 'T'

I'm not sure of the overall point you are trying to make here except the very obvious caution you display in your text regarding your own 'super campaign' series, which to be frank, is certainly not the first, nor will it be the biggest. To say that the ME has not been utilised fully so far in missions that are currently available is absolute drivel. I've been making missions for years, and MP campaigns are my signature. Multiple transitions, unsure endings and certainly incorporated with pathway possibilities. As for ME stability, well, welcome to the frustration of intelligent editors. ED has to move with the times for sure on each patch release, but I personally haven't seen any instability of mismatchs since 1.1.0.9. 'T'

Everything you wanted to know about force correlate modes for AGM65H or K, but were afraid to ask. http://www.74thvirtual.co.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1460 Regards 'T'

"Immortal" units not immortal to other MP clients
Heli Shed replied to Megagoth1702's topic in Multiplayer Issues
Re-read the post. Immortal will not work for client units, nor is it designed for that. Set it in the GUI options for the mission. If it doesn't work then, then fair enough, but don't mix the two separate 'immortal' settings on this thread. You are confusing yourself! -
As someone who spent over 48hrs almost straight bug hunting this and coming to the overall conclusion of preload and cache errors failing the install in kernal32.dll and ntdl.dll particularly with AI for Refueling and JTAC as well as graphics loading, and the OP of the thread, I'm particularly stunned to see wags not only reply, but assure. If that doesn't reassure the community, nothing will. For me, job done. Thank you. This thread will self implode in 5............... 'T'

That is correct.

"Immortal" units not immortal to other MP clients
Heli Shed replied to Megagoth1702's topic in Multiplayer Issues
As far as i`m aware, Invisible and Immortal in the ME are for AI units only. Having just tested the immortal settings in the GUI for the player, i can confrim that for me anyway, they do work. -
stability performance reliability driver refinement memory management DirectX finetuning yadda yadda. Question. Why would I want to go from My BMW M3 to a BMW M3 SMG? Coz it's damn faster, quicker to change gears, looks better, more room and the girls like the new shape........................................ Well..............................when the wife aint lookin' that is. ;-) 'T'
