  1. Hi all, Having a little trouble understanding how with my setup of 3x23 inch monitors at 1920x1080 each and 5760x1080 in DCS world, has not only been outperformed but certainly ergonomicly far better, by my fairly old (4 yrs) HDTV 36 inch flat screen. It's resolution is only at 1360x720 (720p - mini hd size I spose) via HDMI, and if I use the normal VGA adapter I can get res's up to 1920x1080. Even at 1360x720, it is brilliant quality, and of course so much bigger. What I suppose I'm trying to ask is why, at such a low resolution of 1360x720, is the quality on the HDTV, extremely good. Because it is 36 inch, I would have thought that the pixels would be more spaced out and so look more 'blocky' than if on a 23 inch? This is certainly not the case. Any ideas? Regards 'T'
  2. To the OP. Answer. Absabloodylutely not. 'T'

Congrats and thanks for your passion. 'T'
  4. 1st time in 8 months for us. Yesterday our server was up for 19 hrs without incident and remained in the server listing. Great stuff. Thanks ED for addressing it. Regards 'T'
  5. Greetings all Air Warriors! Back from the sandbox a month tomorrow and have had time to Recouperate, do the family thing and get back into the swing of things. Great to see so much movement over the past 7 months with the DCS Products - great stuff. May I take this opportunity to humbly apologise to those who have had forum spates with me prior to deployment, stressfull time, but over now. Apologies. Looking forward to flying with you all, take care and remember, it's never that bad. Really...................it isn't. 'T' PS: Thought I'd post a pic of this (!). Thousands of Tons of Scrap metal left over from the Russian Occupation during the rule of the DRA. The chineese have secured the contract to get rid of it all. This ZEUS 23x4 (Shilka) was off to the ranges to get blown up by the new MSFV for the ANA.
  6. Do what m8? Panzer - Gr8 to see you back. I've missed your calming attitude!
  7. EB, thank you for your feedback (although a little vague) and best wishes to all. Thanks Speed, Nate and Paul. Appreciated. 'T'
  8. Moaning? Who is? It is an observation. Speed, thanks I Intend too. The last tour for me for sure before retiring this time next year - 26 yrs, where has it gone! Likewise Nate, thanks. Whatever happens with the next patch / variant, i, as ever, wish it nothing but the best of luck and successfull deployment to the community. On the same hand however, ED 'should' be a little more forward leaning in an official capacity with regular posts in the official updates thread that are pertinent to outstanding and already reported issues. Viper....................no comment. Others will make their own. Regards all, 'T'
  9. combined arms and the next patch? Moderators, please move to appropriate section. With 2 days remaining before i deploy to Afghanistan again, I was hoping to have seen some life over the past 8 weeks with regards to the ever more so promised but ever elusive 1112, to address the now very common and well known outstanding issues with Quad 1, yet nothing. May i therfore, ask the 'dev's or someone in officialdom from ED other than testers or Moderators, what the situation is with the current release of the proposed patch? When can we as customers expect 1.1.1.2 to be released to put right the so many wrongs of 1.1.1.1 which your testers have now identified from customer input from these forums (not least of all from yours bloody truely)? Will we be expected to pay for the next patch? If so how much? Will 1.1.1.2 actually be released as a seperate install or is it to be combined into a combined arms 'upgrade', which will inevitably mean paying for the upgrade? Any chance of a sneakpeek of a change log for 1.1.1.2? Finally, Thanks for everything ED, but time to step up a little a be a little more 'forward leaning' with your customer base. We have put up with a lot over 11 patches (5 since a so called RC), and the change logs have been enormous for each variant. Fact is, stability eludes all of us in some guise and many people and vfs's have 'sacked it', with promises of returning later when things are more stable, opting to regress to FC2, or flit over to BMS or other sims, trading the now infamous accuracy and high fidelity modelling of DCS products for reliability of others. Best Regards 'T'
  10. use teamviewer for multiple 'trusted' admins

  13. Likewise! Some people take what we do and provide, for granted. Others are very respectfull. Mostly infact.
  14. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1410638#post1410638 Is this irrelevant now then? Doesn't look good does it?
  15. Advice from ED is to do what? We were looking at FC2 as a stable MP alternative to A10C.
  16. DAMN! I thought this was sorted?
  17. I give in.................
  18. such a shame no-one has said A-10C!
  19. Actually, it's TFC - ED. The Figher Collection are not ED.
  20. Foget him, do what you need to do mate.
  21. Tonight was the first night we flew without TARS in the hope of increasing stability of the MP system.. Conclusion - Waste of time. CTD's during the day, and as you boys from STP saw, a Server Crash. Hell, I've even managed to have the server to crash on an empty map! served from Lynx or members machines. We will be making a strategic move in the very near future. Such a shame. All for the desire of feedback and acknowledgement from ED Dev's as to the latest patch, it's instability and issues and assurance of an end state of a stable RC around the corner. Instead we get promises of EDGE, P-51 and combined arms when the fact is all we want is a stable unflawed product first. We will be following the 104th, 4c, and other vfs's and your own reduced committment to the provision of servers and slots. More to follow, The DPE will continue, but sadley Quad 1 ensures that immersion is destroyed. S! to all 'T'
  22. Thanks for your support Magnum. 'T'
  23. Hi. Server ping timeout i cant do anything about. Welcome to quad 1! Lynx is on a dedicated 100/10 fibre line. More than big enough. The hornets AI skill is random as is ALL sam defence systems for all specific and persistent missions. This fact alone, in testing, showed the biggest dynamic for how the missions pan out aswell as user flag settings. Had you of not rv'd, the hornets would not have attempted their SEAD task and would have diverted away. Finally magnum, with regards to the time spent getting there, welcome to a true sim! The dpe missions are mot a quick 10 min adrenilin fix, activity in a real battlespace, ie kinetic operations, take a long time to plan, even longer to execute and rarely go exactly according to plan. This, in my professional opinion is reflected accurately in the DPE. Well, as close as i can get it. ;-). Hope you enjoyed your flight. RegarDs 'T'
  24. Vanilla 1.1.1.1 mate, although if you intend to use TARS ensure you have the latest TS and latest TARS. Regards 'T'
