  1. In the PDF briefing doc on page 9 it shows Target 2 as a Convoy coming up a road. Best advice is to locate the road with your TGP from Altitude and follow it North. It won't be long before you see the convoy as it's quite large. Once identified you can send your wingmen in to engage the AAA threats and then you can clean up the rest of the units.
  2. We will retest to see if anything has changed but the timings should be the same as in the practice mission (same triggers). For this mission, if you are late on the join up then it will be hard for the AI to meet the waypoints on time. If you make a clean join or get to the rendezvous early then the AI will have time to make the waypoints as planned. One possible alternative is to have the FE leave at the required time and if you are not joined up by the time he leaves then too bad - mission failure.
  3. Please post a trk file so we can see why your flight was different than this one:
  4. We will see if we can improve the triggers with our next update however we are limited by the current game engine capabilities. This post shows all the triggers used to detect successful completion of each maneuver. If anyone can suggest a better method please let us know. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2781210&postcount=87
  5. Thanks for the feedback. We will incorporate your suggestions into our next update set. When the campaign was originally designed the intent was for users to fly the practice missions first to perfect their tactics, techniques and procedures. The practice missions have some extra dialogue to point out mistakes or acknowledge when the correct maneuver is done. Many users wanted the campaign sequence to be just the QUAL missions so the practice missions were removed from the campaign but remained in the package so they could be flown separately (via the Mission Editor). I don't see any issues adding the extra dialogue back into the QUAL missions and also being able to provide some mid-flight feedback if the users requests it (we didn't have the F10 menu option when the campaign was first created). We have been making changes as the game engine develops so we will continue to do so to improve the package for all players. Please continue to post any feedback or suggestions for improvement. Thanks.
  6. Yes you can do that but then you will have to manually copy the files over again if there are any updates. Alternatively you can point the ME to the campaign folder (see attached).
  7. You need to open them from the mission editor. Point the file browser to the path where the campaign is stored. Note you might have to select the folder browser to see all the folders. Typically: <LocalDrive>\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\campaigns For non-Steam installs typically: <LocalDrive>\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\campaigns Locate the mission and load it. Once it's loaded press the Green button to launch it.
  8. Thanks. The other A-10C campaigns we have build from the BFT campaign. AAT - Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification covers Air to Air Refueling, Countermeasures and Weapons. TTQ - Tactical Training Qualification covers tactical scenarios including working with Wingmen and JTACs, and different mission types like Danger Close, Deep Strike, SEAD, CAS and CSAR. Once completed you should be able to understand and be successful with most combat mission scenarios.
  9. It will be an update to the existing package. We have a list of changes we want to make to improve play as well as the voice over updates. Unfortunately we have been delayed by other campaign work but those are getting close to being done so we can get back to refactoring our existing releases.
  10. Without seeing a trk it's hard to tell but the spec is within 150' to 1000' of the landing threshold. In BFT04 we have marked the section with vehicles on the left hand side. If you land between them then you are on spec. If you land beyond that point then you would be considered landing long with not enough runway (even if you can effectively stop in time).
  11. I don't think the AI has changed that much but we have some updates we want to deploy so will retest and report back. You are going up against the best the computer has to offer so it won't be a cake-walk.
  12. That's a good suggestion. We will be updating all the voice overs soon so we will add the F10 capability to indicate shutdown complete and increase the default timeout. We will also take a look at the checklist and see if we can make it more user friendly.
  13. Ok now I understand. I checked the triggers and we are only testing for all targets killed as the briefing does state you have to kill all the identified targets to pass the mission. However the Q- rating description says only 50% need to be killed for that rating so I can understand the confusion. We will either make the briefing more clear or add some additional trigger checks to test for the 50%+ kill level. Thanks for finding and reporting it!
  14. Maybe things have changed and the targets are harder to kill now. Will have to retest and see but you can compare your attempt to Recon Stewart's attempt here:
  15. They are basically the same only one you fly the F-5E and the other the F-15C. The mission sets are similar but the F-15C has additional engagements against the F-15E and SU-27.
  16. Some definitions (as not everyone may understand what the acronyms mean): Basic Fighter Maneuvers (BFM) are tactical movements performed by fighter aircraft during air combat maneuvering (also called ACM, or dogfighting). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_fighter_maneuvers Air Combat Maneuvering (also known as ACM or dogfighting) is the tactical art of moving, turning and/or situating one's fighter aircraft in order to attain a position from which an attack can be made on another aircraft. Air combat manoeuvres rely on offensive and defensive basic fighter manoeuvring (BFM) to gain an advantage over an aerial opponent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_combat_manoeuvring To get good at ACM you need to get good at BFM. BFM is normally considered to be individual maneuvers, where ACM is applied to the tactics behind dogfighting as a whole. With this in mind our BFM campaign is a series of one vs one guns only engagements against similar and dis-similar aircraft also called DACT or Dis-similar Aircraft Training. This will give you the experience to perfect your tactics, techniques and procedures in a one vs one engagement. Since only guns are used you learn quickly what you need to do to get in close for the kill (or avoid being killed). Since you fly against aircraft with different capabilities you learn what works differently against each aircraft. Our ACM campaign ups the ante by giving you a wingman and engaging in 2 vs 2 engagements against similar and dis-similar aircraft. We also added air to air IR missiles to make the ACM even more complex. In these engagements you get to choose how you want to employ your wingman. You can order them to engage (and you cover them) or you can engage and order them to cover you, or you can both engage, etc. It's more challenging than the BFM engagements as you have to have better SA (Situational Awareness) to know where your wingman is, and where both bogies are in relation to where you are. We recommend starting with the BFM campaign to build your dog fighting experience and then use those skills in the ACM campaign. You can start with either but having a good BFM skillset when flying the ACM campaign will ensure you can quickly kill the bogey and then help your wingman. Hopefully this helps to explain the differences!
  17. Updates to the mission have been submitted to ED and should be available in the next patch update.
  18. Increased the helo altitude to 250 AGL and tested ok. 2nd chopper clears the trees with plenty of room to spare. Update has been submitted to ED so should be available in the next patch update.
  19. Can you post a .trk file? The last time we tested the FE was hitting the waypoints on time but wouldn't keep low level flight. We will retest and see if anything has changed and if we can improve the timings. The FE starts for the waypoints after you join up so if you were late on the join up then he would have a hard time making the waypoints on time.
  20. We will make the change this week so it should be available in a future patch update soon.
  21. Must be some kind of AI glitch as we cannot reproduce it. We will put in an update to increase the altitude for both helos and see if that can correct the problem.
  22. Hi Sydy, Unfortunately those campaigns were for the 1.5 release and once ED agreed to sell our campaigns on their website we could no longer sell them from our website. The campaigns are being updated to play with the latest DCS World version and will have professional voice overs so it's not a trivial change to get them updated. We have a number of campaigns in the pipeline ahead of these but we will post to our blog once we know when ED plans to release them. Best regards.
