Thanks. So this includes legacy missions and the campaigns?

What happened to the option to have the INS pre-aligned? It was a nice gameplay friendly feature for SP so I could get on with a mission and not wait for the INS for 8 minutes on every startup.

what multiplier did you use? -
Quest 2/Quest Pro Link Cable max bandwidth possible?
DayGlow replied to minimi66's topic in Virtual Reality
Check the specs of your usb-c connection on your motherboard. My usb-c cable charges and runs link at the same time. -
We will have to wait and see. There seems to be something in the hardware render pipeline that Nvidia supports and AMD doesn't because both Pimax and Varjo need Nvidia hardware.
-
does anyone know what settings effect the convergence of the 2 'eye pieces'? I'm trying to dial in my Pimax headset and right now the 2 tubes really overlap too much. I'd like to push out the convergence of the effect.

wish the throttle options were accessible while flying as trying to tune it my afterburner detent is frustrating jumping in and out flying.

AMD 5800X3D, the new King for flight simulators?
DayGlow replied to maxsin72's topic in Virtual Reality
That's why this MSFS chart is important. MSFS also its highly single threaded and relies on cpu IPC for performance. I'm looking for more tests, but so far the large cache seems favorable for Sim titles. It looks like the cost of the 5800x3d will be around the same as a 5900x here in Canada, so it will be interesting to see if higher cache vs clockrate will win here. -
AMD 5800X3D, the new King for flight simulators?
DayGlow replied to maxsin72's topic in Virtual Reality
Honesty if you don't already have an AMD system with the AM4 socket I'd. wait. This is the end of the line for the current upgrade path. This summer Rysen 4 on a new socket and DDR5 Is coming out. The 3D cache will be used going forward on the new platform along with other improvements as well as an upgrade path. -
Isn't it an option in an .Ini, but it causes lights to be rendered in only one eye and other bugs?

OpenXR Guide - Deprecated - This time for real (▀̿Ĺ̯▀̿ ̿)
DayGlow replied to nikoel's topic in Virtual Reality
I've searched this topic, but can't find an answer. Under the FSR tab what does mip-map bias do? The options are off/conservative/all -
Anyone picking up the new AMD CPU with the huge cache to see of it has any increase for DCS? I'm rocking a 3700x and I'd love to know how much better it is for edge cases like DCS.

Quck question, what does using this toolkit, ie AMD FSR for scaling better than using the Steam VR application render scale?
-
Is anyone able to explain index bending vs thumb pressure for input? I’m guessing one is curling your index finger in to mimic a mouse click while thumb pressure is moving your thumb in against your finger, but I can never get a consistent click either way.
-
Thanks. I have a left handed trackball beside my throttle so I can just use it’s mouse buttons while pointing with my right hand and my reg mouse on my right side when using my left.

FLAT SHADOWS OFF removes GROUND MOUNTAIN CAST SHADOWING
DayGlow replied to Gryzor's topic in General Bugs
I second this. Mustang's mod worked great for this, but now that the shader file has been encrypted we can't use the mod anymore. -
Is there a compiled version? I'm not that versed in creating my own
-
well that sucks! I'm sure I can make it work with HOTAS bindings, the ring just looked so eloquent as a solution
-
Wow,I’m going to have to try this. Any update on the ring inputs?

Oculus Quest 2 or HP G2, new future user here.

It's there if you look for it. I'm not bothered by it, but I'm not sensitive to it. -

As a Reverb G2 user who got a Quest 2, I have to say the the Q2 experience is miles ahead of the Reverb. Yes the Reverb is much clearer in the sweet spot, but it much smaller than the Q2. Overall the Q2 is much more consistent off axis glancing around the cockpit. The Q2 is clear enough to read the cockpit. Also Oculus AWS is very much more superior to SteamVR/WMR reprojection. Even in places where there fps dips to 30 fps it just feels better on the Q2. The Reverb chugs and stutters, dropping frames. AWS just smooths it out enough that it stays playable. Also the Q2 is just rock solid. Between WMR, SteamVR and DCS one crashes and every 30 min or so. So far in using my Q2 I've had DCS not crash once. I'm keeping my Q2 and selling my Reverb. -
If I remember correctly BMS has a cockpit stabilized mouse cursor, but it's been a long time so I could be wrong.

VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
DayGlow replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I wonder if you could create a mission template for each theater with one of every asset in it? Or series that mission be too big? -

That's a lot of clicking. Wish you could just set it as part of the instalol, leave and come back -
VR Shaders mod for better VR experience
DayGlow replied to Kegetys's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I wish there was some way to set DCS to rebuild all the shaders after an update. A batch. File I could run after install and then an hour later or whatever it's done. No loading a new terrain and airframe and wait 5-10 minutes every time.
