  1. Interesting tech, but $1100cdn isn't practical.
  2. I loved this mod back in my trackir days, now I'm flying with VR did this do anything?
  3. And I get the Unhandled Exception error I list above
  4. Is there anything I can do to kill it other than a reboot?
  5. I've found that when DCS unfortruanly crashes the Updater utility shows DCS Process still running and I can't launch again without rebooting. Closing and openning the updater will always show a DCS process. Checking Task Manager there is no open DCS process If I hit end process in the updater I get an Unhandled Exception error with the attached details. If I run DCS again the updater shows 2 processes, but it runs fine. I just can't use the updater to launch until a reboot See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): Access is denied at System.Diagnostics.Process.Kill() at DCSUpdaterUtility.Form_Main.FORCE_CLOSE_DCSW() at DCSUpdaterUtility.Form_Main.Button_DCSW_CLOSE_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4341.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- DCS Updater Utility Assembly Version: 1.1.0.1038 Win32 Version: 10.2.2020 CodeBase: file:///D:/games/DCS%20Updater%20Utility/DCS%20Updater%20Utility.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 10.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 14.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/v4.0_10.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4341.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4300.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4190.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4341.0 built by: NET48REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- Accessibility Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Accessibility/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Accessibility.dll ---------------------------------------- Newtonsoft.Json Assembly Version: 12.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 12.0.3.23909 CodeBase: file:///D:/games/DCS%20Updater%20Utility/Newtonsoft.Json.DLL ---------------------------------------- System.Numerics Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.8.4084.0 built by: NET48REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Numerics/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Numerics.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 6. Found out what causes the issue. In the WMR settings for Headset display under experience options if you have it set to Optimise for performance you get the object desync. Set it to Best visual quality and it works as it should.
  7. Does this log radio messages as well? I'm a VR player and want to try the Enemy Within campaign, but have held off so far as I understand there is a lot of custom radio messages that have target coordinates outside of the JTAC. I'm hoping this is the solution that I am looking for.
  8. Any mirrors, windows, etc that can reflect light which can confuse the headset? Also if your room is really dark it can cause issues as it uses visible light for tracking.
  9. Will tracks show VR rendering issues? I'm having the same issue with my G2 causing trees and other terrain objects to render out of sync. It really hurts the eyes.
  10. I'm having the same issue. Default VR settings trees and terrain different in either eye causing shimmering and eye strain. Turn on the parser and terrain renders fine, but cockpit lights etc render in one eye only, also smoke not rendering properly. Frustrating that neither mode works.
  11. If I remember Il2 has a hard stop for the canopy and I don't find it causes nausea
  12. I've had this in the past. Basically your headset is stuck in 3dof mode, not 6dof. I find it's an issue between WMR and SteamVR. I find closing and restarting SteamVR fixes it
  13. Thank-you
  14. So if I say 'option' the F10 menu will open, then I can say 'take 1' to select the custom radio message?
  15. Not sure how to use Viacom to select the F10 menu items. I understand the take command to select a number, but how do I open up the F10 other command menu in the first place?
  16. Thanks, this is what I wanted. I'm using a Virpil throttle and gave the flap lever divided into a 3 position switch.
  17. I'm trying to setup the program, but when I go into the settings menu I can't click on anything, none of the tabs work. I can click on apply and ok, but nothing else works.
  18. Got back into dcs note that I got my Reverb G2 and new GPU. I couldn't figure out why I was getting so bad shimmering. Realized that some trees aren't rendering in one as well as some shadows. Really making it hard to fly.
  19. what do you and to the default.lua to get the 3 position switch?
  20. It made sense back when 4 core processors were three norm. I've stopped using it nor that I have a 3700x. Just don't see any benefit with modern hardware.
  21. Does Kegetys' new one version have the old water?
  22. Your making a big accusations with the tone and wording of your post. You seem to be making the claim that they are purposely and actively blocking modding. You're flat out accusing ED of being dishonest and purposely breaking mods. Those are some bold claims.
