  1. So, this means release quantity should be set to 6 instead of 12 for a full drop?
  2. This is a known problem (there was a report in November and another in December) and is not necessarily an ED issue, because the same bomb works fine on the Hornet. Probably something Razbam has to fix.
  3. Yeah, at the moment we kinda have to strafe ground targets WW2 style.
  4. Yeah, definitely bind it as you'll need it for take off. You're supposed to disable nosewheel steering by holding down the paddle switch once you hit 75 knots, because from that point on, you're correcting your heading with the rudders, not the nosewheel.
  5. Yes. Known issue and already reported here a while ago.
  6. I really hope this gets fixed soon because right now, I have to manually give my wingmen JDAMs whenever I carry LGBs otherwise they will just strafe with guns.

Unfortunately, there is no way to set burst height for your wingmen or AI flights, so any JSOW-As deployed by them are essentially useless, even against softer targets like radars. It is the same issue as the CBU-87, where default burst height is set at an altitude where the bomblets either drift too far off course due to wind, or disperse over so large an area they are useless.
  8. The autopilot also turns the aircraft sharply to one side as it approaches a waypoint, then turning sharply back on track once it switches to the next one. And yeah, setting altitude can feel like a bit of a dice roll. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
  9. Imagine if the entirety of Iraq was modeled as a very large hat on the head of a single soldier.
  10. Yep, that works and I've been doing that as a workaround for now. Thanks for posting the workaround btw. Saved me having to troubleshoot.
  11. You can also use them on the B-1, though that's not navy and shouldn't have it. But since they're available, I use them very regularly.
  12. Came here to find out why I can't talk to ATC on preset radio 2 anymore. Thanks for reporting the bug!
  13. This looks great. Are there any plans to extend the map further north to include bases like RAF Grafton Underwood or RAF Framlingham, so we can have airfields where B-17 squadrons were based?
  14. The dual Mk-84 bomb option for pylons 4 and 12 are capitalised differently, resulting in them appearing in different spots on the loadout list. On pylon 4, they are spelled "Mk-84 * 2" (with a small k) and on pylon 12, they are spelled "MK-84 * 2" (with a capital K)
  15. I don't consider it any more immersion breaking than seeing a cursor flying about the cockpit. You don't get that in real life either. Could just make it toggleable. Those who don't want it can just not turn it on.
  16. Yes, would really like to see this being given high priority for a fix as not having a functional hold function means coordinated preset push times for AI flights in missions is no longer possible.
  17. I believe it should be "Ask IP", not add.
  18. When the C-17 is contacting Fujairah, he appears to say (unless I somehow misheard) that 110 and 410 will not be landing, but his 2 escorts are 110 and 420.
  19. Thanks, Badger. I ended skipping past that mission yesterday as I wanted to try the stuff after that. Had no troubles with missions 2, 3, or 4. Thank you for the clarification about when to turn. I'll be sure to get in closer and make tighter turns from now on. I have to say I really like your campaign. If there's one nitpick I have, it's the lack of frequency switching when moving from area to area. I realise you're probably doing this to ease workload on the player, but it would actually be nice if say, the airfield were on preset channel 2 and the Abe was on preset channel 3 or something like that, and the player has to actually switch preset channels to contact different people.
  20. Ah. I stuck to 5000 feet for the first fly pass cos I saw that the kneeboard had listed 500 feet for the second one, but not for the first, so I figured I was supposed to stick to 5000 feet. I'll give that a try. Thanks. As for the missing the smoke on radio call, my usual practice is to begin turning towards the next waypoint when I am about 5 miles out from my current target waypoint, as that allows me enough space to do a nice wide turn rather than having to crank myself around. Perhaps this is what is causing me to miss the triggers. I'll wait till I am closer before turning.
  21. Yeah the two flypasses were performed (the first at 5000 feet, the other at 200 feet), though for the second fly pass, I didn't get the radio message to turn smoke on. I only got the one to turn smoke off (I got both messages for the first fly pass). I don't know if that would afffect anything. I still got radio calls after each one saying the fly pass was a success though.
  22. Pretty sure I'm just misunderstanding how to do this rather than it being a problem with the mission, but I can't figure out how to proceed after contact with the tanker. I get close enough to recieve this prompt: Next, I move off to starboard. My wingmen disengages from the tanker after a short while. From that point on, I don't get any other instructions on what to do next. If I just fly off towards waypoint 6, the mission fails.
  23. The AH-64 is not in early access yet. It is simply available for preorder.
  24. I'm honoured! And I might be biased but I think it fits really well there as a theme wallpaper.
