I don't think 720 vertical resolution is going to come anywhere near the ultimate sim experience. :)
In order for this to work you must have enough resolution to clearly read gauges and readouts of displays in the cockpit.
I'll upload some pics of the horrendous contraption.... Give me some time.
Ok here goes: I had a wild idea today to take my motorcycle helmet and build a bracket so my 23" flat screen could attach to it. This way when I look around, I always see the image. I taped my trackIR clip to the front. I fired up Blackshark and couldn't play more then 3-4 minutes without getting sick to my stomach!!
Has anyone else tried anything like this?? I would like to have a helmet or VR glasses that done this but I can't find a commercial one with a decent resolution....

Thanks for the info Lucky!
So "soft basket" is where the pods are used?
If the next series is in fact DCS:Hornet, I really really hope they allow 18 to 18 refueling!!
Totally understand! Thanks for the update! I'd still like a cable when one is available, money is ready to be transferred when you say the word.
Thanks Cat!

I was skeptical at first... but I think you are definitely onto something.
I believe a blend would be most effective... utilizing traditional plywood for the structure. The cardboard could be used for all panels, which makes it extremely easy to mount a multitude of switches and easy to label.
I am extremely impressed with what you have already. Great Work!!!!
I think if I tried to build mine, I would have got mad and thrown it at the wall. I'm not too experienced soldering.
Thanks Cat for putting it together!!
Anyone interested in buying bulk switches? If they are even available cheap somewhere...
Awesome!
Has anyone researched buying switches (momentary for me...) in bulk? I know we mentioned this but if we could maybe buy 100 then split them 3 or 4 ways that would be awesome. Hopefully the shipping costs would be low enough to justify splitting them up.
