  1. I don't think 720 vertical resolution is going to come anywhere near the ultimate sim experience. :) In order for this to work you must have enough resolution to clearly read gauges and readouts of displays in the cockpit. I'll upload some pics of the horrendous contraption.... Give me some time.
  2. Ok here goes: I had a wild idea today to take my motorcycle helmet and build a bracket so my 23" flat screen could attach to it. This way when I look around, I always see the image. I taped my trackIR clip to the front. I fired up Blackshark and couldn't play more then 3-4 minutes without getting sick to my stomach!! Has anyone else tried anything like this?? I would like to have a helmet or VR glasses that done this but I can't find a commercial one with a decent resolution.... Update: 11/8/11 VIDEO HERE: .
  3. Huuummmm I wanna see this!!!
  4. Thanks for sharing that navair2!!
  5. I don't even use it because I also move it when I try to press it... useless to me.
  6. Great news! Thanks!
  7. Hey Cat I haven't forgot about that cable... I'll be in touch with you in the next few weeks and try to get one from you. Thanks!
  8. WOW!! Thanks for sharing!
  9. Awesome!!
  10. Thanks for the info Lucky! So "soft basket" is where the pods are used? If the next series is in fact DCS:Hornet, I really really hope they allow 18 to 18 refueling!!
  11. Totally understand! Thanks for the update! I'd still like a cable when one is available, money is ready to be transferred when you say the word. Thanks Cat!
  12. Regarding the F-35: The Navy variant has dual nose wheels. I'm not sure if the door is much different though...
  13. Planning another LAN meet in Ft Worth, Texas. Dates will be Friday October 14th to Sunday Oct. 16th. Will be playing a variety of sims.... Falcon, DCS BS and A-10C, FC2, IL2 '46. Send a private message or post here for more info.
  14. WOW it is amazing to see this come together! Great video!!!!
  15. Can ya shoot a video of it in action? Looking great!
  16. That's awesome!
  17. Jane's ATF is most likely first... back then I had much more time for simming. :) DCS:BS is where most of my simming time has gone the last 3 years.
  18. I was skeptical at first... but I think you are definitely onto something. I believe a blend would be most effective... utilizing traditional plywood for the structure. The cardboard could be used for all panels, which makes it extremely easy to mount a multitude of switches and easy to label. I am extremely impressed with what you have already. Great Work!!!!
  19. That's cool that you got to sit in a Viper seat for a while! I don't believe that happens to the regular Joe very often. :) Yes, you do.
  20. I think if I tried to build mine, I would have got mad and thrown it at the wall. I'm not too experienced soldering. Thanks Cat for putting it together!! Anyone interested in buying bulk switches? If they are even available cheap somewhere...
  21. Awesome! Has anyone researched buying switches (momentary for me...) in bulk? I know we mentioned this but if we could maybe buy 100 then split them 3 or 4 ways that would be awesome. Hopefully the shipping costs would be low enough to justify splitting them up.
  22. Great work! I love how it has progressed.
  23. I just need a cable shipped to 74804. Please let me know how much and I'll PP it to ya.
