Very nice flying Aeroscout :thumbup: The bridges near Sevastopol at your 3rd video were my favorites to fly under in Flanker 2, though I was passing them in reversed order- first under the small road bridge and then the big railway bridge.

I just watched it. Nothing special to be honest, nothing that I haven't seen or heard yet. First they talk about the missile mania of Hruschov which killed many perspective aircraft projects. Then how the development of the SR-71 provoked the creation of the MiG-25. The mystery around it and the years the americans have been trying to collect any data about it. The runaway of Oleg Belenko to Japan which gave the 25 in the hands of US aircraft designers. There's some funny part as well- you can see some ground crew carrying plastic bottles- they are filled with spiritus used in the avionics cooling system during Mach 3 flight. The MiG-25 carries more than 200 liters of this liquid whose qualities exceeded the average vodka you could buy :) That's why the 25 is the most beloved plane amongst the ground (and ot only ;)) crews of the russian AF. There's also some footage about the few accidents during the test flights causing death to some of the most popular russian test pilots. The video ends with the flight of former USAF SR-71 crew chief who has been serving with the Black Birds at Okinava during the Cold war. So he makes his dream come trough and pays for a flight on MiG-25 two seater, going Mach 2.8 at 20000m. That's it.

For the last two weeks the sky over south of Bulgaria has been disturbed by the roar of a whole fighter army- 10 F-16C from USAF 93rd FW "Makos" Florida flown by very experienced pilots is visiting 3rd Graff Ignatievo AFB where they've played multiple training engagement versus 8 MiG-21s and 10 MiG-29s of the Bulgarian AF- mostly 1v1 doggifht and 2v2 BVR tactical engagement, "Mako Javellin 2008". Both sides are satisfied of the outcome of these intensive flights. Прошу прощения за то что разбился как последнего дурака пол минуты после точки невозврата без всякой угрозы. Моего напарника Yoda был поразен крэш-то-десктопом почти едновременно с моего крушения. Таким образом мы практически лишили красной коалиции подавление вражеской ПВО. После покидания сервера я присоединился к каналу русских штурмов. Для меня было настоящее удовольствие слышать ваших действия. Вы держались более чем достойно. Принимите мои поздравления, это был пример как надо летать- высокий боевой дух в сочетании с мастерством.

Встреча конечно хорошо, но я сейчас далеко от дома, вернусь завтра вечером. Потом можем организовать большой митинг, я могу связатся с другими болгарами из 2ИАЕ и с сербами из 4с. А кстати- какой ТС имеешь ввиду? 159 или ЯбоГ- официальные для LOCERF?

tim_k, ты видел чего я написал в 159-м форуме? Давай координируем действия, мы всего 6 штурмовиков. До сех пор обычная практика назначать двух командующей- один для штурмов и один для истребителей. Они потом разпределяют задания по звенам, последовательность вылета и т.д. По моему это всегда работало лучше чем много планов на одном месте. У меня и моего напарника (Yoda) нет претензии на командирской позиции. Смотря на то что у тебя звено большое мы сообразимся с твоим планом и будем часть его. Просто я хочу что бы в начале миссии у нас была ясная стратегия как мы (как коалиция) попытаем выполнить поставленных задач. Еще- у меня как с англиийском так и с русском проблемы нету, т.е. нам должно быт намного легче с комуникацией. Думаю что получится, уже говорил с некоторыми людями из синих в ХЛ, они напугано говорят что их ждет большое поражение :) Пусть будет как они говорят :D

I didn't say that aural and message warnings always go together. Aural you get when there are some important things happening to your aircraft, like "GEAR DOWN"- it's called attention getter, while "Perform nav position fix" is just informative, you won't crash just because you got lost ;) You'll see all messages in the manual, pretty comprehensive reading what the EKRAN is actualy for.

For me it's mostly about my squad, that discovered many new horizons in the LO's world for me.

It is warning the pilot- both with aural warning and text message on the Ekran display. The Ekran is modelled fully, unlike LO.

Perhaps DCS: Divorce will also suit the title line :D

Well, where to start... Sustained turn rate, easy AOA overlimit, low speed behaviour like a MiG-21 (flying the MiG in LO at 500 km/h IAS is similar to the Flanker at 350). The 29 should have great handling under 500 km/h. The only thing that I find correct is the linear acceleration and rate of climb, the turning abilites are quiet castrated. Basicly in LO the only chance you might have with the MiG is to go energy while it's supposed to be pretty good in angles.

I mostly see myself doing gunzo in the MiG. We'll see about the robots then :D

What I hope about the DCS MiG-29A is that it will occupy it's place as the most notorious dogfighter from that list. No other planes matches it's turn rate.

Don't forget the R-27ER/T/ET missiles.
