  1. i5-3570k @4.5GHz, GTX970, 16GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz, 1440p 16:9 display. ~30% fps decrease consistent between all modules. Same conditions Same graphic settings (clouds at STANDARD 2.7).
  2. Clouds are great even on standard, except cirri, they are kinda "blurred" and not correct shape. No artifacts, no problems at all. Hope they can fix performance impact.
  3. Why it's so bright now? I need to lower gamma to 1.3 to be playable.
  4. 30% fps decrease is just too much. Hope they will optimize it.
  5. Lol, they should allow us to use some other drive for download and unpack.
  6. Do you really need to click that update button the same second it goes live?
  7. I'm expecting performance decrease, maybe even unplayable for older machines.
  8. We can disagree, but I would always take F-15's 6 minutes more and 5k ft more at 350kts over F-16. I would always take F-15's M2.1+ at 40k ft over F-16's M1.6-1.7. All of that with more CMs and two more missiles. All RL pilots build SA in their head, but in DCS as soon as data-link is not available, most people are lost in space and time. And as I've already said, FC3 F-15 RWR kind of serves like primitive datalink.
  9. Just build one in your head. It's not that hard and it's great brain excercise.
  10. Don't get me wrong, I fly F-15C almost exclusively in DCS, and I would like to fly full DCS F-15C more than anything they have in production right now. That being said, I understand they do not want to invest time and money to fine tune FC3 modules. They do not even want to invest time and money to fix real bugs in FC3. It's probably one line in some lua file to disable ecm warm-up time, yet they will not do it. It has performance advantage, it has missiles advantage, it has RWR datalink, it has like million CMs, it has fuel to the moon and back... It's easily the most capable A2A platform in the game together with Su-27 family.
  11. Well, RWR is all wrong, radar modes are wrong, ECM is wrong, startup is wrong... where to stop? There are issues with F-15 like losing navigation after selecting a flight without switching to spectators first. Radar is just fine. I fly F-15C since first lock on - the radar is not a limiting factor for successful engagement.
  12. Undercarriage strength is not a problem. The problem is questionable ability of ground to support an aircraft. IRL all paved runways have assigned Pavement Classification Number (PCN). It's a load limitation and load is not solely function of mass; the important factor is load distribution. Now that we learned not all paved surfaces have the same load carrying capacity, the same is true for every other surface. Lets take grass field for example: Its load carrying capacity can be very different depending on, but not limited to: soil type (including multiple layers), grass type and size, soil humidity (it can be dry, damp, wet, soaked...), preparation (some grass fields have foundation under, some grass fields are prepared with lawn weight roller...)... Same goes for sand, dirt, rock, whatever... In DCS we cannot expect them to model all of that, but we can expect some consistency between different modules. It's reasonable to assume that all non prepared airport surfaces (outside of marked movement areas) cannot support aircraft movement.
  13. Not just usable, FC3 F-15C as a package is among most powerful aircraft in the game. As someone said above, it is not a bug. Whole radar is simplified. Modes and functions are missing. It is what it is for 15USD.
  14. I don't see what's the big deal. F-15 radar works just fine.
  15. I have the same problem, but I'm failing to replicate it. Whatever I tested, it always worked, but when I enter real battle sometimes CM doesn't wrok. I have no idea why. tried to rearm like 10 times in 10 different chaff-flare combinations, always worked.
  16. I do not know what do you mean by "steering bars". If you consider "steering bars" two yellow lines on ADI (aka Flight Director), you are right. I believe that's not correct behavior in game. By raw data I mean flying without flight director.
  17. Setting course should not have any effect. You should just: 1. Set ILS power to ON (left outer knob at ILS panel) 2. Set correct ILS frequency 3. Turn ILS switch ON (bellow HSI panel) 4. Make sure the runway you're landing on is active by ATC (not sure whether this affects ILS)
  18. If you fly raw data ILS, you will not see any difference between 070 and 064 degrees set on HSI. It will align you nicely. If you follow Flight Director, setting HSI to 070 will offset your approach. (I've never seen this behavior IRL in multiple aircraft, but I have no idea about A-10, maybe it's correct, but I doubt).
  19. I find pitch trim extremely sensitive as well, but it's not big deal. As people above me said, you can use power as a fine trim control. L-39 is absolutely the best aircraft in DCS for instrument training. I use it to maintain my instrument proficiency and simulated instrument failures are great tool to practice partial panel flying.
  20. Master arm - On AA mode RWR - on SPJ - rec CM switch - on or bypass Using hotas commands or red button on the left, nothing happens. Any ideas?
  21. Google says: PRMG-76U/PRMG-5 Localizer: not less than 45km GS: not less than 18km DME: not less than 45-50km
  22. It's a bug (or underdeveloped feature). They will probably never fix it. Real PRMG system has good range.
