  1. Yes, they have developed such upgrade more than 20 years ago. It's called Ugrosa, and rocket are designated as S-5Kor S-8Kor S-13Kor Don't know whether they fielded it, they kinda love their unguided variants.
  2. Well, the real hornet pilot said "It's not realistic other than the visuals". So there's that.
  3. I do not see a problem. I mean, by unslotting he actually helped you to accomplish your mission by removing himself from the airspace. Just keep calm and continue mission. :matrix: Scoreboard is useless, it doesn't reflect real skill anyway.
  4. I've never understood how people can use such unnatural device as trackIR. Naturally, eyes lead head rotation, while with track IR they are stationary, or even worse moving to the opposite side. :dunno:
  5. Just select a command you want to edit and press CLEAR button. Then double click command you want to bind, click hat_left and then click OK. Then double click the same command, hold hat_left_up and while holding click OK. Then double click the same command, hold hat_left_down and while holding click OK.
  6. Mission: Instant mission > Caucasus > Take off Steps to reproduce: 1. Go to STAT page and Press OSB "next" 2. Select "LTMFCD" and press OSB "test" 3. Observe left MFCD goes blue and then stuck in red-scale 4. Set DAY/NIGHT/OFF selector at OFF position 5. Observe left MFCD is powered on, even with DAY/NIGHT/OFF selector is set to OFF 6. Leave DAY/NIGHT/OFF selector at OFF position 7. Turn CICU OFF 8. Turn CICU ON 9. Observe left MFCD is still powered on, even with DAY/NIGHT/OFF selector is set to OFF 10. Wait for system to boot up. 11. Go to STAT page and Press OSB "next" 12. Observe that both LTMFCD and RTMFCD LRUs are marked as OFF Bugs are reproducible at any mission and with both MFCDs MFCD test bug.trk
  7. Click through ejection handle already works for all other switches on that panel, so it would be nice to have it for APU Start switch as well.
  8. Make duplicate entries for left at left, left-up and left-down positions. Same for right side. That solved all my problems with 8 way hats.
  9. I like the fact that coolie long left or right is used to set SOI instead of F-16 system because that means one less button I need to map on my already limited joystick.
  10. You say "was much higher". Does that mean it's set to correct altitude now?
  11. I've tried, there is TVV at my HUD when in CCRP IAM mode. Can you post a screenshot?
  12. Laser burn out existed in A-10C since 2011. Noting new here.
  13. I absolutely love A-10C's hotas system, it's by far the most intuitive and the most capable system in whole DCS. Even bodged HMS feels natural.
  14. I have no mods associated with Harrier module installed. I've run repair tool to make sure it's not corrupt. I've attached a track where I shot the aircraft with combined arms vehicle. I've supplied screenshot from modelviewer: When argument 171 is in 0.9-1 range, the texture disappears. Can someone try and confirm it's not just at my DCS? har.trk
  15. Are fuel gauge needles supposed to be transparent or not?
  16. There's no A-10C II in the drop-down under USA aircraft.
  17. How to place A-10C II in ME? The module is installed and active. Old A-10C is installed and active as well.
  18. It is possible: 1. You need to copy server.lua from Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\View folder to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\View 2. Then, you open server.lua located in Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\View and add view entry for your module of choice. It's easiest to go to DCS World\Mods\aircraft\aircraft of choice\View.lua and copy existing view profile. 3. You edit CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,140.000000}, to achieve min and max FOV you want. 4. You find correct reference code for the aircraft you are editing by going to DCS World\Mods\aircraft\aircraft of choice\Entry.lua and read make_view_settings value. Examples: ViewSettings["F-16C_50"] = { Cockpit = { [1] = {-- player slot 1 CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,140.000000}, CockpitLocalPoint = {3.259,0.796,0.0}, CameraAngleRestriction = {false,90.000000,0.500000}, CameraAngleLimits = {200,-90.000000,90.000000}, EyePoint = {0.05000,0.100000,0.000000}, ShoulderSize = 0.25, Allow360rotation = false, -- limits_6DOF = {x = {-0.13,0.30},y ={-0.06,0.16},z = {-0.18,0.18},roll = 90.000000}, limits_6DOF = {x = {-0.17,0.45},y ={-0.30,0.10},z = {-0.22,0.22},roll = 90.000000}, }, }, -- Cockpit Chase = { LocalPoint = {-5.0,1.0,3.0}, AnglesDefault = {0.000000,0.000000}, }, -- Chase Arcade = { LocalPoint = {-21.500000,5.618000,0.000000}, AnglesDefault = {0.000000,-8.000000}, }, -- Arcade } ViewSettings["FA-18C_hornet"] = { Cockpit = { [1] = {-- player slot 1 CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,140.000000}, CockpitLocalPoint = {3.533,1.156,0.0}, CameraAngleRestriction = {false,90.000000,0.500000}, CameraAngleLimits = {200,-90.000000,90.000000}, EyePoint = {0.05000,0.100000,0.000000}, ShoulderSize = 0.25, Allow360rotation = false, limits_6DOF = {x = {-0.10,0.30},y ={-0.3,0.060},z = {-0.20,0.20},roll = 90.000000}, -- limits_6DOF = {x = {-0.13,0.30},y ={-0.3,0.065},z = {-0.18,0.18},roll = 90.000000}, }, }, -- Cockpit Chase = { LocalPoint = {-5.0,1.0,3.0}, AnglesDefault = {0.000000,0.000000}, }, -- Chase Arcade = { LocalPoint = {-21.500000,5.618000,0.000000}, AnglesDefault = {0.000000,-8.000000}, }, -- Arcade }
  19. It's not that we do not need it. All information you need are already available. It's 2 min job to set it up. Example: Screen is 60cm wide and player sits 100cm from it. FOV=2(Tan^(-1)(60/2/100)) = ~33degrees. Ingame, open service menu pressing twice RCTRL + Pause, read ingame FOV and adjust to match calculated one.
  20. Keep in mind that while f18 resembles yf17, it was heavily modified to extent it can be considered as a new aircraft
  21. It would be much easier to just make 80s and 90s versions of currently available bluefor aircraft and sell them as 10$ DLC for the addon per version.
  22. Yes, need. It would mitigate the problem with less-than-good blast damage. The rest of the post is already answered by Fri13 and deadpool.
  23. +1 We need laser corrected unguided rockets for all dcs platforms. Fri13 already presented all good points, nothing to add.
  24. Of course they will. As technology advances, they will revise old modules to enable new features, and as aircraft get older, they will become more and more declassified, so we might get better simulated systems.
