  1. Starting from cold and dark, rearmed and refueled in that state before starting the engine and starting the alignment procedure. Started stored heading alignment (ALCM), started progress begin, then red "UNI" light came on. Switched to full alignment, input coordinates, started progress, red "UNI" light came on. Track is attached below. MF1EE AlignmentBug.trk
  2. I'm having the same issue on the Syria map, when starting up after rearming the jet- not while during the alignment procedure. Keeps hanging up, both in ALCM and full alignment.
  3. I'm having the same issue, on the Syria map. Rearmed before starting the jet, and have gotten the error in both ALCM and full alignment attempts. Not sure what's going on.
  4. So, I've had an Obutto R3volution for a very long time now, but like other users have mentioned in other threads, I'm finding more and more that I'm hitting the limits of what can be attached to it (Virpil owners know what I'm talking about). So, in the interest of trying not to totally break the bank, I'm wondering if anybody here has started working on or looking into combining 80/20 components (i.e. the base rails from a Monstertech + stands) with the Obutto frame, to provide for more room for expansion or places to attach components. Or, is this even possible with the way either system is set up?
  5. Excited to hear about the new pilot model! Will this include different skin tones/ women's bodies as part of the update?
  6. So, I'm finding Hornets with every carrier's tag on the side except mine- USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76). Any chance of getting either VFA-25 or VFA-113 of CVW-14 as they would have been on Reagan between 2005-2009? Here's a few sites with pictures that may help, and I have the cruise books for a couple of those deployments available too. Thanks in advance! https://www.seaforces.org/usnair/VFA/Strike-Fighter-Squadron-25.htm More Fist Pictures https://www.seaforces.org/usnair/VFA/Strike-Fighter-Squadron-113.htm More Stinger Pictures
  7. Had the same thing happen. Marianas map, Supercarrier CQ mission, got slow and went in, the game crashed as soon as I hit the water, and had to use task manager to close the program.
  8. Dude, I don't think you understand the difference between a sea story and a fairy tale (I'll give you a hint, one begins with, "once upon a time"), but needless to say they both tend to be over exaggerations of what may or may not have actually happened. This seems a really dumb hill to die on, ESPECIALLY when you have everybody here with even a slight passing interest or background in thermodynamics, engineering, or aviation maintenance telling you why this wouldn't EVER be a thing.
  9. But at the very least, ED could communicate that to let us know that they're acknowledging our concerns and wishes, and at least let us know it's something that's being considered or looked into. However, given their deafening silence on the Grim Reapers stuff from a while back, I doubt that's going to happen at all.
  10. Yep, this. I mean, IL-2 is putting women pilots in for the Night Witches, after all.
  11. Any tutorial for that anywhere? I've tried this a time or four myself, and it's always gone disastrously. Also, does it work in MP? For those saying "just do it yourself instead of asking ED to do it," some of us aren't skinners with several hundred dollar photoshop software, years of experience, and lots of free time to learn. Plus, if it doesn't carry over to multiplayer, that's a different story.
  12. Actually, you CAN see the face/ skin tone under the visor- a good friend of mine has been offering to attempt to recreate my face in my personalized Mirage skin in-game just for that reason. As far as "SJW trolling for attention," what does that even mean? Just because people have different life experiences than you doesn't make them invalid.
  13. You keep using that word. It doesn't mean what you think it means. At all.
  14. Not at a proportionate rate to white men, as a percentage of the population.
  15. Or, maybe you could just try to listen and learn something. Empathy is a good trait for anybody. Representation matters. You see it in all forms of media, and especially in video games, where we like to play to pretend we're taking the places of somebody else, it would be nice if that virtual person matched with our own virtual identities. Women have served in combat roles in the military for over a generation now, and there have been fighter pilots of other races than white for 70 years, but that's not represented in games. For young women or people of color, not seeing yourself in these roles makes it harder to imagine being able to ever do it yourself. I mean, Flip Wilson in the Raven One books is black, and there's even a brief passage asking why there aren't more black officers and especially pilots in the Navy - this is part of why. Also, Olive and Psycho feature pretty prominently in the books, so why shouldn't they also be in the campaign as more than just voices? Women I served with made this video 13 years ago - obviously, the diversity is already there in the fleet- if we're striving for ultimate realism, why not include that diversity in the game?
  16. Because man overboards are a real hassle for EVERYBODY aboard.
  17. Hmmm, so judging by the SLQ-32 on the GW being inside a radome, this should be after the same overhaul where they had the red/ white/ blue hull number island lighting installed, right? Hoping we'll see that in the final model.
  18. Oh, they don't have time to bring a tractor around to push you back into place: https://imgur.com/a/1tb2uWC
  19. I'll have to tell the story some time about hanging up on the CO while standing LD during a dual down and getting a LOC for it later. Provided you have a good CO (and I know cruiser CO's were *real* nukes), they knew to trust the nukes. Now a bad CO, on the other hand... Whew, I have stories there too. '76 here, Plankowner, RE div.
  20. Ah, an ELT, I see. I wanted CGN's out of power school, but they had decommed '36, '37, and '41 by the time I got to Great Lakes. And actually, I know of other CVN's parked across the pier from us on both coasts who had CO's who shanghai'd Air Dept. into helping in the MMR's - there's usually enough time and distance to make things safe- plus, the grapes have valves down there for the JP5 innerbottom tanks and riser manifolds (but that's for another story).
  21. Yeah, I'll come help with that FOD walkdown, as soon as the Airedales come down to the MMR and help clean the bilges in preparation for ORSE, if we're ask other departments to do our jobs for us. :smilewink:
  22. < sarcasm > If we're going to have a working hangar deck in game, they better have the ship-specific murals and decorations that are painted on the doors between each bay for each of the CVN's in the class that are being modeled, otherwise I want a refund! Also, they better make sure the AI adheres to the proper restrictions when operating the ship with an aircraft elevator at hangar bay level, and slows the ship down to 15 knots or less (IIRC - it's been a few years) before lowering the elevators. And while they're at it, when are we getting working upper and lower weapons elevators, animated bomb farms, and AI Aviation Ordnancemen screaming "IYAOYAS!" every 10 seconds? And if we're going to go that far, how about modeling a virtual Central Control Station, with an AI Engineering Officer of the Watch to yell at the Air Boss about the frequency of launches between bow and waist cats, especially if the ship is providing wind over the deck by answering a high bell, and threatening to or actually shutting the catapult steam riser valves? Also, I demand that ED immediately develop and implement T-AK's, T-AO's, AOE's (which would still be in service in the given timeframe), and other auxiliary ships so we can model underway replenishments, so those weapons, spare parts, fuel, and other supplies can be transferred to said modeled hangar bay. I know I'm missing more, but I'll keep working on this list of things we need with the new CVN's. < / sarcasm >
  23. I'm re-running the Su-27B Flanker (FC3) training missions, and it appears that the mapping for the next/ previous waypoint commands on the china hat switch are missing. Not sure if that also carries over to the -33 or any other modules yet.
  24. Having the same issue here. Constant crashing, most often in the Tomcat, but also in the Hornet as well. I'm attaching the latest VoiceAttackFault document in this message. VoiceAttackFault.txt
