If you are in TWS, you can press NWS/Undesignate button to switch to the next target. This way the secondary target (DT2) will become your primary (L&S) and you can launch the missile against it.

For liberation missions, I put F-15 and F-14 to deal with Mig-31s. I prefer to use the Hornet as an attack platform with self defense capability. Maybe send the Eagles first while you go down low after then, and try to ambush the -31 would be your best bet. Datalink with AWACS is essential.

As stated previously you have to use TWS in order to 'riple-fire' at multiple targets. Just be aware that TWS have a lower scan volume coverage. Usually I user RWS to find targets, than switch to TWS to proceed with engagement. I use a 2 bar - 60º setting, with contacts age set to 16 and change PRF according to target aspect (HI if head on, interleaved if target is maneuvering).

Does this mod have a big hit in performance?

When you uncage the missile, it's pointing forward. You need to Uncage, press SSS-fwd and use TDC to slew the seeker towards your target...

I use a monitor and if I turn on the moving map on EHSI page, I can't read anything... everything is blury. Looks like I'm drunk... LOL
-
it's not... the mpcd font is as unreadable as ever... I think this is not razban related but ED related, because the hornet has the same issue. It's impossible to read HSI page when the map background is activated.

Is this a feature or a bug?
-
Simple, launch one HARM per code, than head home.

Good points mate, and I agree to some of then. In the end it's just a matter o adapting to the airframe/avionics and extracting the most of then. The extra screen and the "smart" stores page on the Hornet are great features indeed. The only issue is that I see myself changing pages frequently, sometimes during combat, and unfortunately on that Hornet you have to press buttons on the MFD bezel. In real life maybe that's not a big issue, but on DCS, means you have to click on the right spot and I think it takes more time than IRL. That's why I love so much a DMS type switch. Anyway, good discussion.

To me, the Hornet is cool because of carrier ops and more ordinance available. Other than that, I prefer Viper's HOTAS (damn, every fighter with HOTAS should have a DMS to cycle between MFD pages), it's engine power, easier to read avionics in general (hate the strange symbols on the Hornet radar, to me hafu is like Egyptian hieroglyphs).

Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion

Great mod! Do you plan to further tune the EFM? Today feels too much light and without inercia. -

Harrier Cold Start Broken since March 5 update
jacobs replied to Amahvan's topic in Problems and Bugs
I don't think it's the harrier, otherwise nobody would be using it. I fly it daily. Maybe it's your control setup. Have you tried to move throttle to idle using keyboard? -
I don't know what NAVPAC is, maybe it's not implemented yet. If you set this switch to COMPUTER, the BDHI arrow will point to selected waypoint on the navigation radar. You have 2 waypoints, D1 and D2. So for instance if you select D2 and the switch is on computer, than the arrow will point to the D2 direction. Following this same logic, if the switch is in tacan position, than the arrow will point in direction of the tacan channel selected on the tacan panel.

Cool man, nice to hear that. Lot's of projects should benefit from your effort if you externalize parameter. This way teams will be able to tweak parameter to make the EFM more realistic to each airframe.

This video explains very well how to use TPOD + IRMav's.

Ok, so for instance if I model some airplane and want to test it on DCS I could 'cut corners' by using your EFM... I still have a question though, what is the 'awful default flight model' you are mentioning? Even FC3 aircraft have good flight models nowadays... Is this intended to mods that still use the old SFM? If that's the case, how can we change aerodynamic and thrust values to better fit on a given model?

I don't understand the purpose of this... Is this directed to developers that want to port some 3D model to DCS and have some form of flight model for it? Or is this directed to general public that want to 'enhance' FC3 aircraft? I'm confused. Sorry.

LOL'd on Automatisk Fart Kontroll so hard that my fart control got disengaged.

In order to enjoy the Viggen you need to understand that it was made to attack pre-planned targets, and not loitering over an area and attacking targets of opportunity like a A-10 / Hornet / Harrier could do. Also, the radar is used for navigation, with limited targeting capabilities. Other than that, it's very fast, stable, powerful and fun to fly. One of my favorite modules.

The FLIR turret is fixed. Once it's installed, it's always in the airstream. Brazilian AF for instance use the A-29 mostly as advanced trainers, so they don't have FLIR turrets. But other air forces use the A-29 as light attack and it's more common to see then with the FLIR turret attached.

You have to open the canopy before asking to disconnect ground power. For NWS, you need to keep whatever button you mapped pressed while doing turns.

The sight on the A-4 is completely old school, you can manually change depression, and that it. It's like a rife's iron sight.
