  1. So... the mav alignment is done by the ground crew IRL? Or is it just not implemented yet?
  2. Yeah, but that's not the point. A Harrier going against a Hornet, or a mig-21, or a mig-29 is an emergency situation. I'm sure a well skilled Harrier pilot would hold it's own. But air-to-air is not the bread and butter type o scenario of the AV-8B. The guy that opened this thread seems to use the Harrier as air-to-air just because he thinks the module is buggy. Makes no sense at all.
  3. The guy uses the Av-8 for air-to-air and complains about module being incomplete... LOL.
  4. Today I saw a strange behavior, I pressed SSS aft to use DMT and and the TDC commands was inverted (up was down, right was left and so on). So I uncaged IR-MAV and pressed SSS fwd to use TDC, and this time the controls were OK. I'll try to reproduce that...
  5. looks a lot like a simple magnified rifle scope... you said it is stabilized... so in this case, can the operator put the cross over the target, press some button and it will keep looking at that point no matter helicopter movements?
  6. The last video is cool, but that system is way more modern than what we have on A-4E. It was developed for A-4M, and harrier uses it too. About the size of the sight, it looks accurate.
  7. It's the other way around. Frecce tricolore is dropping DCS to work on MSFS together with IFE.
  8. Thank you for this awesome mod, good luck to the team. Just hope you are still up to make small fixes in case of a DCS patch breaks the mod. But anyway, thanks a lot.
  9. I read somewhere that the guidance system for ataka missiles is basically a upside-down periscope, with a simple camera, no laser and no thermals... the gunner needs to keep the camera pointed to target and the missile will follow. Is it really that simple?
  10. Is it possible to trim the pedals, like in gazelle? It is really difficult to control it without pedals.

    Mirage III

You mean the Italian version right? Because the Brazilian version was always under equipped due to lack of funds. A small number of units are going through a modernization now, that adds a radar, new cockpit and smart munitions capability. I agree that an AMX is way better than a C-101. Maybe it would be fare to compare it with the Viggen for example. But even than the AMX is inferior since it lacks radar, anti-ship, supersonic flight, etc...

    Mirage III

They showed some 3d renders, don't know if they will go forward with a full module, or just some AI asset to enhance their falklands/south america scenario. Also, the brazilian AMX (before modernization) was really limited, basically a L-39 or C-101 with a HUD and a CCIP capability. Not that capable.

    Mirage III

Well they have lots of planes on the pipeline, looks like the Mirage III may take lots of years.
  14. Guys, is it possible to create a separate forum post for khopa's Liberation? Or at least, fix his github repo at the first post. Would help a lot! =)
  15. Ok, thanks anyway. There's a A-4E-C guide that has bombing tables for mk-82 (both low and high drag) based on the F-5 manual. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GNsvLojKhlihl-G7B-Mif628isJIcLGk/view?usp=sharing
  16. Thanks man! Does it work for mk20's also?
  17. Great question. I suck at level bombing. Would be cool to have some depression settings.
  18. Thanks! So is it still valid for 1.4?
  19. Guys, do we have an updated guide to this awesome module?
  20. You can use the F10 map to put target waypoints (T01, T02....) and import on CAS page. It sounds strange and arcade-ish but actually simulates the rover system, in which JTAC's send up target coordinates to CAS platforms through datalink. Once you have these target waypoints, you can navigate to then by long-pressing 'waypoint increase' hotas command. On ODU you can select TGTS and navigate to then...
  21. Guys I just would like to thank the developers that created this impressive dynamic campaign system. Looks a lot like EECH dynamic campaign. I'm still flying the original release, but will also try khopa's version, with improved UI. Again, outstanding work! Thanks a lot!
  22. My opinion on the module (flying it for over 1 year). The pros: - Flight model is really cool. - VTOL is awesome, take off and land on the LHD or FARP's are super rewarding. - It can carry a good amount of weapons, and you have almost everything from dumb bombs and rockets, to Mavericks, LGB's and JDAM. - As a strike/CAS platform, IMHO it's more flexible and enjoyable than the A-10C. - By far it has the best training missions set of any module. They are great, and it should be the standard. The cons: - Some systems are simplified, like ARBS, TPOD and bombing solutions (no wind correction, no altimeter source, etc). - Some bugs are anoying like cockpit ilumination at night since 2.5.6 release... - The development of features and bug fixing is slow and looks like they don't have a clear goal right now... seems they don't know if they want to finish current modules, or delivering new ones. It's my favorite module, I almost fly nothing else because I find the Harrier more rewarding than anything alse currently. Also, I don't follow NATOPS... I follow the provided manual, and instructions given by the training missions. So, maybe my frustration is way lower than the hardcore natops-nazi guys....
