I'll leave another tip, I had a X52 pro and AAR was hard as hell, impossible. Then the X52 finally gave up after long 9 years of AAR-epic-fails and I bought a T16000M HOTAS. This joystick, although cheap, is waaaaaay more precise than the X52. Suddenly AAR became achievable. I can do it on Hornet, Harrier and Mirage. So your joystick/throttle may have a big impact on your AAR...

I'm going through the M2K georgian campaign right now. I'm enjoying a lot. I'm ok with the "reading a novel" style of the missions. Anyway, looks like this campaign has a good feedback, I'll check it out after I finish BD campaign. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3314265/

Just a heads up, I posted this issue on the Razbam discord and they helped me to configure a curve and saturation on the ministick X and Y axis and now it's working well.

I recently bought a T.16000M HOTAS (joystick and throttle) and I'm having a hard time slewing IR mavs. To start, I mapped TDC axis to the analog ministick at the throttle. This ministick is pressable, so I mapped TDC-action to it. I know the procedure, wait 'til mavs are ready -> uncage -> SSS-fwd to enter IRMV mode The issue starts when I enter IRMV mode, it`s very difficult to slew the missile, it seems to respond to the ministick commands when I use diagonal commands. Have you seem something similar?

On the mission 2 it happened to me, the CAS flight did almost everything. But on missions 3 and 4 it's a lot more difficult...

Try to dispatch SEAD and CAP flights before you take off... and beware the SAM's.

Reservoir Fight mission problems and suggested fixes
jacobs replied to Toge's topic in Missions and Campaigns
This mission was pretty cool, I'm glad you guys are fixing that. -
I tried the gun while in CPG seat using TADS as sight, set automatic ranging and than I use the laser range finder to update target distance.. with constant lasing you can achieve good results.
-
first you have to set your sight to tads, otherwise the SYM rocker won't work...

Ok, that's really interesting, because if I'm flying into combat and I may have to WAS' rockets at any time and start PEW PEW, isn't it more helpful if I'm already at nose to tail trim? I'm still inclined to screw with that slip ball...
-
I'll take advantage of this post to question: should be strive for aero trim? Is it more effective? Or is it just a matter of preference and there is no problem in trying to achieve nose to tail trim (damn that decentralized ball)????????

Are you lasing target?

A date format that does not start with the day is simply wrong. Said the DD-MM-YYYY gang.

What's your point? Is this a question?

Didn't know about that... thanks!

The radar is pretty good to spot targets at around 60nm... if you put your scope range at 80nm it's pretty easy to find targets. Just keep an eye at your PRF, num of bar's and antena elevation. What is odd is that if I put scope range at 160nm, the radar is dead, not even the fake contacts are shown...

Thrustmaster t.flight stick X - curve/saturation setup
jacobs replied to jacobs's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I tuned saturation Y only. Saturation X tends to make the controls more sensitive, and that was not the intent. -
Thrustmaster t.flight stick X - curve/saturation setup
jacobs replied to jacobs's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hey guys I think I found a good setup that works for me: - turn off force feedback on misc settings; - use central position trimmer mode on ah-64 special menu; - on my pitch and roll axes I'm using a curve of 20 and a saturation on 70; - on my rudder axis I'm using curve on 10 and saturation of 75. -
Hey guys, anyone else having a handful with the apache while trying to control it? It feels very sensitive... I have a thrustmaster t.flight stick X, and tried to decrease saturation (75) and curve (15) on X and Y axes, in order to decrease input sensitivity with no luck. Have you found a good setup for this joystick?

How do we know Mini Jammer (aka DECM pod) is working?
jacobs replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in AV-8B N/A
IIRC the mini jammer HOTAS command does nothing... to use the jammer, you just set the ECM selector to `RPT` position. -
So what's DMAS/ARN-101?
