Well that's great you can. But look around you, do you have any idea how many eletricity was used when creating all those platic things lying around your table (and don't start to think about where the oil came from, mexican gulf maybe). Do you have any idea how many electricity is required for electrolysis when making alluminium. Everything you see around you required electricity to make. According to eurostat, only 28.2% of all electricity produced is consumed by households. My country gets 55% of electricity from atom (France gets around 78 from atom), and thats when using the less efficient (but safer) VVER reactors. Even if we disconnected all households from power, there still wouldn't be anough power without atomic power plants.

So how is it? Review pages are highly praising it. Did creative assembly made up for the Empire let down? :)

oh c'mon, quit with those apocalyptic scenarios. Europe (even Ukraine and Belarus) survived 10days of unchecked graphite fire in Chernobyl. We have no available alternative to our power demands. Wind toys and solars cells that cost more eletrical energy then the put out during their lifetime are not the answer. You do know that you can measure bigger radioactivity levels near a coal power plant that you can near a nuclear one.

Then what about exothermic chemical reactions? They produce heat by breaking/creating of chemical bounds. Not by particles bumping into each other. You might confuse heat with internal energy.

Enlighten me, which green, reliable, energy can replace +400MW of power produced by a single nuclear reactor. Also 'green' energy, do some research on solar collectors, esspecialy on how the chemicals their are made of are produced and how many energy is required. And what about those burning oil refineries, don't tell me that the crap that got into the atmosphere was all clean. Think about it next time you sit in a car. A 40+ years old reactor was able to handle a 9 earthquake and a 10m tall tsunami without busting.

Some medical examinations will give you bigger dose, than what the crew of that carrier was exposed to.

Then why are you powering other systems in the training mission while EGI is aligning. Is the mission wrong? I see logicaly nothing wrong in loading TAD/DSMS Inventory + profiles/TGP Data/MFCD page configuration while nav system (EGI) is figuring out and fine-tunning it's place and orientation in space.

Only the restart service should require admin rights. Tbh I've no idea why the restart service is necessary after reboot, even the saitek examples are having this issue. Without me having the keyboard there is no way it can be done. As it would require a complete rewrite. -
Wingman in DCS:A10C isn't much smarter then in DCS:BS, it still follows the same attack patter as in BS/FC 2.0. So don't expect drastic improvement.
-
Also Wynne (or any other healer mage) could get an aura spell that would cure all injuries.
-
There is an easy solution for this - don't let your party die. Returning to camp is far less punishing then having to take all the dead party member possessions, find a temple and pay for a revive... I miss the BG2 days :)

For A10C, you can use this little app I wrote http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69057 It will allow you to use the mfd for storing frequencies for refernce.

What works for me is setting my groupID to 01 just after switching egi to nav after it is fully aligned. And then recheking it (and reseting to 01 if necessary) just after all flight took off.

When I realize how much was improved on the engine since BS v 1.0 (not counting the wonderfull job on the A10C itself), then I cannot wait to see what will happen to the engine in another two years. Fantastic job :)

Had this too after patch. Never happened before.

The best advice I can give you is - take it slowly and one step in a time. You have to approach it as a learning course and not like a game. You'll get overwhelmed if you try to learn everything at once. The best way to start is imho watching the leading edge training - http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/video/leading_edge_training/? It may see like a lot of work for a computer 'game', but the effort is very well worth it. Parking the Ka50 after bringing it back from a successful 2h mission is a feeling no other game can provide.

Need help with the campaign Devil`s Cross First mission
winz replied to deeteewan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
You'll get get 51 mission score, when you fly out of the home base, return back and stop. 51 is enough to advance to the next mission. You'll get additional score if you delay the column for a considerable period of time. -
Need help with the campaign Devil`s Cross First mission
winz replied to deeteewan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Take off, get to combat area, fire your mavs, head back, land&park and mission complete. You don't have to destroy everything, you just have do to your part. One of the more realistic mission objectives. -

Updated first post with new version -added save/load feature -added the ability to stay allways-on-top of other windows. -first text field will be selected when alt-tabing to the application -pressing enter will move the caret to the next text field -pressing enter at the 'remark' textfield will automatically save a new entry and focus the first text field -another bug-fix for restart service I'm having this aswell. The MFD goes blank after I save a new value. Do not know what is the cause. But file->restart service does fix it for me. It's only doing it after reboot. @159th_Falcon I'm lost here, don't see any reason why it doesn't work :(. Do you have the SST sw, or anything else that interacts with the MFD installed? -

It looks like the program has problem finding your saitek drivers. Can you see if you have the saitek service running? run->services.msc->there should be a service named 'Saitek DirectOutput'. It has to be running. also check if the installation if the driver installation is ok. There should a file named DirectOutput.dll in c:\Program Files\Saitek\DirectOutput\ The file should be 6.2.2.4 (you can check this on the files properties) Saitek drivers are acting weird for me if you plug the hotas as windows is running, or in a different port. -

I found a bug in the restart service that did throw the exception. It should be fixed. I also added some more checks, so an error should pop-up if there is a problem during start-up. That should give me more insight to what is going on. New version in first post. -
I'm all for it, if the missions included in the retail version would be playable with such restriction without you needing to do several trips to home plate and back. I'm speaking about the Georgian Hammer campaign, where you are ofte required to take out 12+ T80. Such conditions force the player to use unrealistic payloads.

My personal experience - 2GB of Ram is not enough to run this sim. You'll be out of ram in no time and that results in a lot of nasty stutters when the HDD page file kickes in.
