  1. Er der andre her der har købt DCS: A-10C? Indtil videre er det genialt, dog et noget mere travlt cockpit end KA-50. Staffan
  2. Just finished with the torrent download, will leave it running for some time, currently installing the game. Staffan
  3. I bought it without flinching (rather I did but I had to ask the SO here for permission) Staffan
  4. Oldie but goodie. Absolutely brilliant!! Staffan
  5. I can see my answer could have been misunderstood, and wasn't very precise. no offense taken Panther nor did I think you were upset or was venting, your reply was clearly not meant as such and neither was mine. Staffan
  6. Even the laser RF systems om MBT's have cooling down periods and burst limits, on the M-1A1 it is something like 5 rangings in 60 seconds, also nicely simulated in SB Pro PE where I have fried more than my fair share of LRF's and having had to rely on backup sights. A true pain when you're up against any decent equiptment. Staffan
  7. Yeah I have actually been through this entire thread, but of vourse forgot that it was here, still hope you didn't mind the shameless copy 'n' paste. Looks like it will be here fairly soon this stick. Staffan
  8. Ragtop, this is just a copy and paste from a post made by Panther at SimHq "To be exact HOTAS Throttle: 8" Tall with throttles in the middle and with base Throttle base 10.75" L (9.5625" if the base plate is removed.) 6" W 2.0625" H (only the base, excluding the switches and throttles.) HOTAS Joystick: 11.125 Tall with base Stick base 10.6875" L 9.0625" W Now this is a BETA unit, it could change (but unlikely) for the production unit." Again thanks to Panther for grabbing a tape measure. Staffan
  9. To follow up, I have decided to try the Warthog HOTAS, I really want a dual throttle both for DCS/FC2 but also for FSX. And I guess I could come up with some programming for Steel Beasts Pro PE. Staffan
  10. I changed my preorder from Amazon to SimWare, I'd save very little but according to the dates I'll have it about a week earlier than from Amazon so a no brainer. Staffan
  11. Having used CH products for more or less since the gameport fighterstick got available I have toi agree, they are etremely good quality controllers, and affordable, and as an extra bonus the software is exceptionally easy to use. I never had any issues with any CH gear, and I currently use the Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, Pro Pedals and Throttle quadrant. (All USB and running via externally powered USB hub. Staffan
  12. I can't even remember when I used a keyboard, must have been way back before USB controllers, I had a Suncom F-15 joystick that failed several times, then about a few weeks before my CH fighterstick and throttle arrived, witc gameport cabling, those were the days before Pentiums. way back when DOS ruled. man I'm a dinosaur. Staffan
  13. Yeah Unfortunately no shipping cost yet, I just threw them a mail, if I can save a few quids I will! Staffan
  14. Absolutely stunning. Staffan
  15. I like the royal greetings, from TM talk about letting people feel like royalty! Staffan
  16. JAS-39 and J-35 (F-35 & RF-35 in RFAD service) don't have variable inlets. Staffan
  17. Hmm I see my old favourite from The old DI F-16 days are here, CBU-87 CEM nice should bring back some fond memories. All in all very nice reading. and I truly look forward to the new ground AI, no more mindless zombie crunchies. Staffan
  18. The mk-83 is exclusive to the USN not the Air Force. At least it was so in the 90's but I haven't heard any diferent. the -82's and -84's are both adequate for their different target types. Staffan
  19. Opsparing er en god ting.... Især når der også lige er kommet en update til Steel Beasts Pro PE Staffan
  20. I'm not cool by I did pre-order :D Staffan
  21. The risk of damaging the engines in Ed Macy's book in from over torque, and he states at least 20% power advantage over the AH-64D. Staffan
  22. I have to admit I can't think of any developer making a study sim with more than one aircraft, the only other study sim with several units in very high standard is Steel Beasts Pro PE and that is another audience completely plus it doesn't have the amount of systems needed for an aviation sim. Staffan
  23. Mower I'll up the ante, the AH-64D is ok but US forces in Afghanistan has had to dismount the radar or the payload was too limited, there the ultimate would definetely be the Apache AH.1 or WAH-64 a lot more power from the engines thaks to Rolls Royce and an extremely extensive HIDAS suite. Staffan
  24. With a modern carrier you just need to punch some holes in the landing area, then it is a mission kill for the vessel and in need for a refit, a MIRV or in this case MaRV will have extrene kinetic energy so there should be no problem, also the story about the space shuttle only doing Mach 1 in orbit, that would kind of shrink the earth since it does one orbit in about 90 minutes. there is another thread on this and Skater does quote some disturbing figures for the AEGIS ships and not very flattering, from under crewed to under maintained, and at least 4 not servicable. plus on top of that the SM-3 is not ready for IOC yet. Staffan
  25. First to spot stuff, be slow and methodical, exploit terrain to sneak up on your objectives, and take your time, do't use the obvious approach route. Regarding if you can see the tracers coming at you, in Ed Macyøs book Hellfire he describes seeing the 23mm tracers reaching out and him taking action accordingly. Staffan
