  1. This is getting SUPER tiresome..... There goes transport helicopters in missions
  2. Surrexen, are you using Moose for your air dispatcher (the terminology you use make me think you use A2A_DISPATCHER for this :) ) ? If so, yes, that Dispatcher add the spawned CAP/GCI groups to the detection network. This can manually be patched in moose.lua, though, if you want to fiddle with that.
  3. I've always taken off with trim 1 notch down, 1 notch up makes your plane try to take off wayyy too early for its own sake. Same for power, I find +8 to end up perfect for the take off run. All in all, I follow exactly what your images say, and it works perfectly
  4. Is it generalized? I didn't really notice that in my latest flight in Anton, though I didn't try P51 for comparison. It didn't hit me as unplayable, I'm probably missing smtg
  5. Well, I'm talking about a brutal kick on rudder inducing a severe sideslip. Californian style :) This is an emergency measure that should be not used... like ever, or for at least 99.999% of landing attempts, imho. But DCS is still a game and I use it from time to time (last one was actually yesterday :) ). The correct way is what you describe, if I screw this part up, I use a higher G turn from downwind to final to lose more speed, if again that's not enough and situation calls for a landing, I sideslip.
  6. Like Yo-yo said, a good dose of sideslip will slow her down hard, if really you need her down and haven't managed in a more proper way :)
  7. I bought it yesterday, no performance issue on my side either, I have the same fps as other modules. That's potentially something related to your specific system... perhaps try uninstall the module, remove sharers folder, re install the module...
  8. You probably need to enter A/A mode to be able to get to the radar page.
  9. Tried to message them, no answer 1+ week ....
  10. It's the shortcut I mentioned, RCtrl-L
  11. Using cover / hover is not a strict required tactic, the cover settings are obviously an important factor. Gazelle during Operation Daguet have been advancing and shooting at ennemies on the move, from a high enough altitude as to not create a sand cloud due to rotor. Going into a hover attack would be far more dangerous to them than firing on the move. If I'm not mistaken, they even got up to using a "charge" tactic, akin to horse charges from old times, where a line of dozen+ gazelles would be advancing in a sweeping motion and clear the area of targets. Firing on the move is actually quite efficient in DCS Gazelle, and you easily avoid tanks sniping you this way. It's easy to achieve even in singleplayer (it's even easier in solo due to lack of desync), because Poly has implemented aids for this (the Gaz in the proper mode easily keeps pointing at target and the Hot accepts large azimuth changes during flight) Multicrew is a (huge) gameplay enhancement. It being a prereq for Gazelle, not quite sure, the workarounds exists for handling it in solo easily. As far as Mi8, having a crew for nav duty and during stress moments would be huge.
  12. On TM Wartog, imho the best advice I can give is to add an extension to your stick, and use it centered, between legs. It's a whole other feeling, the stick is suddenly lighter and more precise. It's really worth trying to adapt your place to it Other than that, going the spring way can work. If you have money, you can also consider replacing the base with a mecanically better one with better softness & precision, namely a Virpil base.
  13. I get on with it in the meantime using RCtrl-L (handlight) for night ops. Hoping for a quick fix.
  14. Try lowering the Y saturation on the pitch axis, while keeping zero curve. You can go pretty low in saturation, less with an extension, though, but if you find yourself still outstressing your wings, it's worth trying it. If I'm not mistaken, on my Virpil w/ 7.5cm extension, I've gone for 70 Y Saturation (not X!!! only saturation on Y) on pitch axis. This keeps wings safe while really not interfering with low speed pitch rate. Philstyle has a good video about this on YT.
  15. I'm having the exact same issue (Rift S here). Absolutely no clue on how to get past mission 1 :( Unusable campaign at this stage for me, I really don't know how to get past it (reboot, restart, no attempt made me through it)
  16. Not for everyone. I've not touched anything else since I got mt CV1, until I got my Rift S, ofc, and CV1 help me immensely. No way it made things more difficult. Imho the used CV1 advice is a very good option.
  17. I don't know if NineLine can be serious or not, but unless you have enough energy advantage, looping isn't something I would advise in a tight dogfight, that makes you a sitting duck, especially vs a Spitfire, a bird notorious for her very good instantaneous climb rate. She would keep up behind you and hit while you're at low speed at the apex of your maneuver. That doesn't mean the current DCS A8 looping performance is OK or not, mind you. I'm just commenting on the necessity of looping in the A8. And yes, proper B&Z usually means you don't loop or turn hard (at least not for prolonged turns). You totally have to adapt your tactics to the aircraft you're piloting. Current A8 has few advantages, hard turning and hard climbing are not part of them => don't use that. I don't know what should be the actual perfs of A8, I know that I struggle currently with it, hopefully (since this post is tagged [WIP], ED is looking into it, which is good) it will get better. In the meantime, I try to use the 2 good points I have found with her : rollrate for defense, to give the space to extend, and firepower, that I use after extending to roll back into the ennemy and try to shred him in a frontal pass....Not too sure it's good, or whatever, but that sound far better to me than trying a looping, which I would avoid in nearly every situation, tbh, even with an A8 performing better...

  19. DM AND AI are the 2 reasons I never end up playing DCS WWII, Both need fixing, not just one. Sorry for the PvP MP crowd but AI is as important as DM
  20. By that standard, current Ka-50 is already way past fantasy aircraft as none Ka50 with Shkval has seen combat. The Ka50 is kinda borderline in this discussion, it's the most fantasy airframe in DCS and already past speculations in its current incarnation. You can't say the same of the majority of the rest of DCS planeset for which more info are available
  21. Awwww... And because solution B is not perfect and kinda wrong, it's better to stay with solution A which is worse? Perfect way of going forward....
  22. Not really. My "faulty indicator" and Naelius "faulty indicator" show dramatically different output for roughly the same situation. Better if we know which conditions give these mixed results
  23. Dammit, I only caught this in your sentence now! 450 kph in a dive?? There's an issue right there! I reach 500+ quite easily in shallow dive. What were the circumstances? I only was stuck once at these speeds, yesterday on BS, after forgetting flaps in take off mode (btw flaps seem immune to overseed, I dived from 3+km without them breaking, not sure they shoud be that resilient) Your flaps were working ok?
  24. No more A8 slots yesterday when I connected on BS, so I took off for a ride in Spit, I can concur with Lukas, A8 can disengage, I'd say Spit & A8 are in roughly the same speed ballpark at the deck which makes the A8 able to run away. He defnitely was increasing distance I would have fried my engine trying to keep on the chase, so I breaked up. Ending in a zero kill sortie. That said, the infinite 1.42 ATA kinda screw it up, the guy in front of me should also have to slow down on the engine, but would that make me keep up? Not quite sure. If you can't run away, the spit behind you had energy advantage, for sure.
  25. I concur on the sensibility of gear to speed in MP. Above 250, retracting gear becomes difficult. I didn't test in SP
