It makes sense that generator is constantly producing power with shunt excitation. It's important to note that 30 min generator limit is defined by APU itself (reasons are not stated), not the generator assembly. According to Mi-35 manual, which should be the same for Mi-8/24 in this regard, DC voltmeter should indicate voltage only with APU GEN switch in ON position. Problem is that I can't get any voltage to show, but I do get ammeter to show load with switch ON.

Thanks for the accolades. Unfortunately, I was never able to get my hands on electrics schematic for the Hip/Hind, so anything I say would be a guess at best. Manual/s I have don't delve into systems themselves, apart from operational standpoint. Maybe AG can help you out. Edit: look in my next post about what I think is correct behavior.

reported Petrovich cannot see units that are in plain view
admiki replied to whataboutbob71's topic in Bugs and Problems
See, that's the issue. So far, for me, it never happened Petrovich could not spot a target I was able to see myself. I can't speak for ED, but if their tester jumps online and has no issue, how are they going to fix it? Again, provide them with a track you have and let them figure it out -

Same goes for both of you. Fly a mission you want to fly, track is recorded automatically, if it's too big to post here, upload it to cloud and post a link. Let ED worry about its size or if it's broken. If ED comes back saying it's too big, broken, whatever, you can then tell them that it is squarely on them and it is not your job to create specific missions to recreate the issue. So, yeah, amount of work some people spend here to complain over and over is a few magnitudes over amount required to post a track you already have. Your only work here would be to actually upload that track, it's not like someone is asking you to build up a damn Great wall of China. I agree it should not be up to us to do this, but it's ED's sandbox and we can either play by their rules or GTFO. -
It does not work if your scan is still active. I used it yesterday.

It's lucky I have read this before I have responded to him. My response would at least get me a reprimand. Thanky you. -

It's how ED set threat logic: SAM>AAA>>Tank>IFV>APC>Infantry. They also did implement some sort of distance variable, but I think above logic is primal over anything else -
fixed Sight orientation permanently shifts due to rotation limits
admiki replied to FusRoPotato's topic in Bugs and Problems
I don't experience any of that, except for wild flying , but even that only at high altitudes. Can you post a track? -
Due to instruments in Russian helicopters you don't have torque curves table. Hope this will help you. Note: there is a typo in second picture, I believe it should say 11 500 kg weight.
-
Easy to solve. Pull as much collective as you need to go your desired speed (throttle is left at 100%). Same for anti torque. Seriously, speed/power is not locked, it depends on environment and your own configuration.

It's part of mod package, I don't have it as a standalone. -

If it works for you, that's great, but it just does not work for me. -

I'm sure Hind community will be at loss with your departure. Dude, post a track file and let ED worry about how to watch it over. -

Tracks have been improved. Not flawless, but are better. Anyway, regardless of its state, track file is the only way for ED to take a look at the issue at hand. -

When you tell him to turn the sight on, floating reticle should pop in line with fixed reticle. If it shows up anywhere else on your "HUD", most likely gyros are toppled. -
Making TADS crosshair jump to target point not possible?
admiki replied to JetCat's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Create your own mission to test this and once you finish and exit, you will see SAVE TRACK button. Click on that, name it whatever you want and click OK. It will be saved in your DCS saved games under Track folder. Attach that file here. -

There is an issue with drift in the Apache, it is possible that waypoint is wrong. Second issue, you start inputing from 11S, drop the W84 47 part. Can you post a track file? -

No, you can do it in flight. If flying solo, you need to jump in front seat, turn of power for Raduga, you can then jump back into pilot seat, wait 3,5 minutes and tell Petrovich to turn weapons back on. -

Not sure what do you mean by playable unit, but that anntenae will jump up and down like it's on rubber bands until it eventually kills you. Why don't you just do a quick test yourself? -

Petro can spot targets outside of range of your own missiles, not to mention rangge of AAA shooting at you, if you come that close that AAA is shooting at you, it is squarely your own fault. When the f^ck will people start taking responsibility for their own actions instead of blaiming it on an entity that can not speak on its own behalf? Would you mind inviting me to fly mission with you, so we can check if it's Petro's fault? -
That pilot must be at least 2.5 meters tall for that viewpoint?
