It's heading hold part of SCAS. It's always on. As usual, it's WIP and it will be tweaked. ALso make sure to use FTR to give computer position to aim for.
-
You are correct, this is new. Found what might be a bug though.
-
It seems to be a bit heavier and maybe less pedal authority, but nothing really noticeable. This is just subjective feel.
-
You want pedals, rest of your setup is fine. If you have never flown helicopters, I would suggest you buy Huey first and learn on it (or you can use 2 weeks free trial option). Learn how to fly it before you go to combat. If you need to think what to do next, you won't have spare mental capacity for battle. While Apache systems look overwhelming, they can be learned. Don't try to learn everything at once. Read on one section, go into hellicopter and practice ony that. Rinse and repeat.
-
That might be an issue. Even if you spawn in flight, controls sync (which we know is bugged) can cause overpitch and RPM droop enough to kick generators offline. You do know that, if that happens, you need to manually cycle generators? Without cycling, AP will not switch on.

cannot reproduce and missing track file Ah-64 losing control

Just because you are in hover does not mean controls are centered -
What's the best anti torque pedals for a heli sim these days?

Wear out? Only thing that can wear out is ball bearings, easy to replace. Damper gives you a whole new level of immersion. Go for it. -
Playable

One thing that seems noticeable to me is change in required pedal when accelerating from hover, but this seems to be across all helicopters, not just Apache. Holding FTR, Apache seems a lot more stable than before. While it is still somewhat twitchy in hover, it does seem subdued in response to inputs (note: I use 20 cm extension, with no curves and 100% saturation).

This is exactly why I prefer hovering close to hill. More you have to climb to get LOS, easier you are to be spotted by something you don't know it's there. It's just as easy to duck left/right as it is forward. Even backwards dump is not that hard, especially if you use torque to turn around. For the record, I am not saying you have to be within 10 ft of obstacle, but no reason to be 1000+ ft from it.

Works fine for me. Can you give us short track, you probably missed some step?
-
If time is problem for you, you will be perfectly fine to download what you can, stop it and start again when able. Updater will download only what's missing, not starting it all over again.
-
I might be wrong, but Hellfire never used waypoint to get near the target. Waypoint is for you to get helicopter into launch constraints so missile will have the chance to pick the laser. Also, while 22 seconds is long time, if you are not tracked before you pop up, no SAM system will be able to kill you in that timeframe. If you are hiding behind a hill or a tree, get as close as possible to give yourself angle advantage. If you are hovering 1000 feet from the hill, you will have to climb long way to get LOS.

Performance page is non functional at this moment, it is being worked on.

R-60 are quite easy to fend off. If you know you are going to go against helicopters, take 2 A-A and rest normal HEAT. Even A-A can kill anything not being MBT.
-
Use A-A type so you don't need direct hit

I am guessing it's WIP, probably will get it once we get ability for him to spot launches on his own
-
I'm guessing he knows all of that since he said it was working before. So, there is something else going on, but for us to be able to help, he either needs to give detailed explanation of his every step, or provide video/track
-
You can upload your track to google drive and just share the link. While video might explain what is going on, I would also like to see track.
-
I guess he does, since he said it was working before

Microswitch control yaw AP modes. As for pedal trim, it depends on what pedals you have. Both AG and I have MFG pedals with dampers which does not return to center. If you use Y button for pedals trim, how your pedals will behave is dependant on what trim mode you have selected. If it's center trim mode, your pedals will stop working until you return physical pedals to center.

You mean "designate target" command? You need to be within range for him to fire, or you can use your own fire weapon command.
-
OK, can you explain what exactly are you doing and not getting results? And what you did before when it worked?
-
Are you sure you are in free fire mode?
