ChuckJäger Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 It seems like the Flood Lighting is only partially connected to the flood lighting rheostat. Even with the Flood Light dimmer all the way down, there are still a few flood lights emitting light. As the picture hopefully shows (you may have to download it and zoom in...) ChuckJäger Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 I'm not really sure why this was moved out of the bug forum. Does that mean it is something I am doing incorrect and if so, what is it? ChuckJäger Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 Check the 'chart light' dial. I did, made no difference. As in the picture it is all the way at the minimum setting. Flamin_Squirrel Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Gotcha, couldn't quite make it out in the picture. Was this a hot start mission?

It was, have not tried a 'cold and dark' mission yet... will give it a shot and report back VFA-113 | Stinger 307 | "Hank" USN OEF OIF Veteran i7-8700K OC'd 4800ghz | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080Ti OC'd | 32gb RAM | 2.5TB SSD | Odyssey + | TM Warthog HOTAS |

ChuckJäger Posted November 21, 2018 Author Posted November 21, 2018 (edited) Ok, Just tried cold and dark start up, still acts the same way... other observations I found were: - Chart light dimmer INOP - The flood lighting seems to be connected to the "Console lights" dimmer I am perplexed as to why this was removed from the bugs forum.... sideshow Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 Some of the flood lighting is now incorrectly tied to the console light switch. So if you rotate that you now get flood lights

metzger Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 And those flood lights are projected only on the right eye in Oculus rift VR. I suspect it is not a flood light but some weird reflection, but I might be wrong tho. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Wizard_03 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 For me it seems like the flood lighting knob got bound to the console and panel light knobs. So when you rotate either one, it also turns on the floods. DCS F/A-18C :sorcerer:

The reflection from the apu light is there even tho the apu is off. Cockpit lighting is broken. Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Sent from my Redmi 4 using Tapatalk I don't think its reflection from the APU light, it looks like its coming from the flood light system. As its duplicated on the right hand console as well. However the flood lights also remain on, while the APU is on, regardless of light rotary position. DCS F/A-18C :sorcerer:

Modeus Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 I have the same issue. APU lights illumination continues after the APU light is off, as well as the flood lighting is on when I have it off, but I have a twist... I fly in VR. My right eye shows just like typed above. My left eye, however, appears correct most of the time but flickers every few seconds to match the right eye. I probably won't be doing much night flying until this is fixed since it's a bit uncomfortable to have my eyes disagree about what they're seeing.

I rarely fly at night but did the other day, and I noticed this too, only in one eye. I’ve also noticed it elsewhere, sometimes grass only shows in one eye, sometimes shadows outside the cockpit (ex my wingtip sidewinder casted a shadow in one eye but not the other, even though the wing itself did in both). Generally weird behaviour. Ghostdragons445 Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 I have also noticed the APU light reflections are show when the APU is on but the green light is not
MurderOne Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I have this also in VR where it appears there is lighting in one eye and not the other. I also noticed that even during daylight flying, if I turn the instrument lighting on, I am getting a flickering effect inside the cockpit. I can't recall right this moment if it's console or instrument lights doing it, but it does do it, and it's rather uncomfortable. Sorry, no cool signature here.
