These manuals provides the necessary procedures to efficiently and effectively learn the necessary skills to be successful in DCS. Fundamentals as well as Fighter Fundamentals and Section Maneuvers Basics The Logbook & Training guide is designed to give a guide for all the different subjects and skills a pilot needs to know and understand to be successful in DCS. The Basic Flight Manual goes over all the fundamental skills and base knowledge pilots in DCS need to know and understand to succeed and enjoy DCS to its fullest extent. This guide provides the foundation for all follow-on flying training. The Fighter Fundamentals Guide contains fundamental procedures and techniques to learn the basic fundamental tactical concepts and skills to be able to succeed in DCS World. It is designed to be used in conjunction with instruction from an experienced and knowledgeable Instructor Pilot. The manual can help build a solid foundation on which tactical training can be accomplished. This volume is not directive in nature and is not the final authority for all things in combat aviation. It is merely a single collection of the fundamental and basic tactical concepts that are universal to US Navy, USAF, RAF, and other fundamental training programs. Fighters rarely employ as a single aircraft. Fighters will typically employ in section, division and as a part of a larger Strike package or Defensive Counter Air package containing multiple elements. Fighters throughout history have proven the benefits of having a Wingman in combat. Two aircraft, working together, are more powerful and capable than one, whether their mission is Forward Air Control (Airborne) or a Fighter Sweep. The fighter’s in section or division work together to achieve and maintain tactical situational awareness and to achieve air superiority. The Section Maneuvering Fundamentals manual will discuss planning and employment considerations for two aircraft in the air-to-air environment. How a section employs in a known 2v2 scenario is not different from how the same section will employ in a multi-group environment in 2vX. Bug: AIM-54 will launch within 10 miles and not track with the ACM cover up. Can I reproduce it 100%: Yes If not 100%, how often out of 10: 8/10 How to reproduce/description: Method 1: Step 1: Lift ACM cover (regardless of radar lock status) Step 2: Fire AIM-54 Result: The AIM-54 will not track the target even if target was launched near the ADL and hot off the rail which will result in the loss of a missile. My assumption is that it takes perhaps a couple of seconds before the missile starts deciding the track any targets within an FOV which is why sometimes you will get a kill but not others. Since the last update. The F/A-18 on A-A using ACM mode as great difficulties to properly lock a target. For some reason, When the target is locked, The selection box appears everywhere else but on the correct spot. I joined a small video that clearly show the problems while using the HMD with Boresight mode. Notice that the selection box appearing everywhere but not on the target. It takes usually no less than three attempt to finally succeed locking on properly to the Target. Video link: https://youtu.be/Au1wUhZr2_g

reported earlier Exiting ACM does not resume previous PRF
Harker posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
2.7.11.21408.1 Open Beta In A/A mode, with a missile selected, when commanding ACM, the PRF will change to MED, regardless of the previous PRF setting. Bug: When exiting ACM (either with the NWS/Undesignate button on the stick, RTS or unboxing ACM), the radar should resume the previous PRF setting. This does not happen in DCS, currently. The radar resumes all other previous settings, except from the PRF setting. If another missile is selected with the Weapon Select Switch and you then re-select the previous missile, the original, correct PRF is selected again. Track attached. ACM mode has lockon issues when having any angular velocity with respect to the target. STT lock is very slow compared to other aircraft in DCS. The initial "track box" which is created drifts off target before a lock can be achieved. This causes issues in a dogfight. ACM lockon.mp4 ACMlockon.trk
