As in the first part of the WORLDS APART series, you find yourself in the role of a German Bell UH-1 helicopter pilot serving in the squadron "WOLF PACK," a German Army unit (Heeres Flieger). The Huey is still in service, not least because of its proven capabilities and reliability under challenging conditions. You are part of a crew of four: your commanding officer, Peter Berger, and the two gunners, Hans and Tom. FEATURES As in SPRING 2025, you will fly with others in the squadron, but you will be on your own in most missions. Combined missions with air and ground forces and naval units from different countries provide variety in an otherwise routine life. You'll conduct both unarmed transport and armed patrol and combat missions by day and night. Occasionally, circumstances require you to perform a task regardless of the weather conditions. GENERAL SITUATION Toward the middle of the year, the security situation in the world continued to deteriorate. The three superpowers continue to negotiate with each other but remain on an aggressive course. Although you and your colleagues achieved great success at the beginning of the year, and the situation has calmed down, especially in the south of Georgia around Batumi, the overall condition remains tense. Different countries have their fingers in the pie, and Western NGOs keep independence efforts alive. Economic interests and the desire to secure natural resources have not changed either. Thus, the Black Sea region continues to be a focus of tension and a constant threat to peace in the EMEA region. The overall situation remains very complex and complicated. The rebels within the Georgian army, who are fighting the moderate central government and seeking a violent reunification with the former Georgian regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, are weakened but not defeated. In the regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, some armed forces of the regional neighbors support the Georgian population in their efforts to create a united Georgia. Far-right fascist groups are fighting Russian troops in Abkhazia. Under the auspices of the United Nations, many countries are deploying forces to separate the various competing armed groups. Parts of the German Armed Forces are entrusted with securing the southern part of Georgia and supporting the government forces in their fight to maintain peace and security in the region. In the process, the area of operations is increasingly shifting from Batumi to the north, and the squadron will probably be moved to Kobuleti in the future. YOUR ROLE You and your crew have returned to Batumi after your experiences in the spring. The situation is calm, and patrol flights are the central part of your program. Surveillance and presence. Your task is to support Georgian and German ground forces in securing the Batumi region before being deployed to Kutaisi in the north. Within your unit, callsign "WOLF PACK," you have the supporting part. You fly lightly armed patrols and transport troops and material. Until further notice, your squadron will remain stationed in the Batumi region and the local airfield. Introduction The missions build on each other, and the story evolves from mission to mission. You get all relevant and available information before each flight in the form of March Orders. The kneeboard also includes March orders, flight planning, navigation logs, airport maps, detailed maps, and satellite images. You have direct access during the flight by flipping back through the kneeboard folder. Unexpected things happen regularly, every day. Any additional information you get from other crew members over the radio. Just follow your commander's instructions because he keeps track of things. Information about unexpected things can be found under "Top Secret" on your kneeboard. It is not easy, but we rely on you to do your best to keep the peace. Good luck and always happy landings.

Missions by pilots for pilots and ambitious gamers. We hope this Update will be part of the DCS Beta update in Dezember ! This winter, we are releasing our second major service update. The purpose is not to fix bugs but to make improvements that allow even inexperienced pilots to complete the missions with a bit of practice successfully. A significant gap that we fill with this update is the missing patches on the flight combos of the crew and a distinctive skin for the Huey. We have designed logos and badges that will adorn the upper arms and helmets of the crew and the nose of the Huey after the update. Not least for reasons of inversion, all missions will be updated to the current state of the art. This add-on helps to dive even deeper into the world of the crew and create a unique experience. Test your skills in missions as close to reality as possible with maximum enjoyment.

So we can hope our outdated UH-1H Huey is, well.. outdated.. And as such, as we've seen with the A-10CII and the cancelled KA-50 upgrade (Due to Russia's new military information law), aswell as after the work on the AH-64D and the Hind, would a Huey 2.0 eventually come out ? And would we get an upgrade to the aircraft itself, perhaps a UH-1N Twin Huey? Heres to really hoping for the better. As a guy who have way over 3000 hours in the Huey since its '13 release, it is my most played aircraft in DCS, and too long have the UH-1H been neglected and overseen (yes we got Multicrew and i am grateful, however on the grander scale thats peanuts compared to the other more pressing matters). I believe, since ED has revealed nothing about the Huey (i guess they play their cards very close) i believe the time has come for ED to consider upgrading the oldest module currently in DCS. I think all of us who love the Huey, even as an icon and a legend, deserve an upgrade.

I think ED should allow stations that do not require advanced system handling to be open to everyone. Why? Look at il2 (the sim). It is really popular with its bombers and larger planes. That sim also has multicrew. Every gunner station can be used by ANYONE. It is not locked behind a paywall (you do have to own the game). Why doesn't ED do something like this? I understand the co-pilot has to own the module. And if it was a more modern plane I can understand you would need to own the module if you want to use, lets say a radar or whatever. But stuff like gunner stations or other stations that just don't justify buying the module for that. So i think it would be a good move to allow players that don't own the huey to operate the gunner stations. Some examples with random planes: Chinook: Pilot: has to own module Co Pilot: has to own module Load master: doesnt have to own module any gunner station: doesnt have to own module F4: Pilot: has to own module Co Pilot: has to own module B17: Pilot: has to own module Co Pilot: has to own module any gunner station: doesnt have to own module

https://discord.gg/sySYqKEw2M Combined Joint Task Force Theta is a US-based DCS tactical realism group with an emphasis on joint air/land/sea multi-national operations. As a tactical realism group, our focus is on the employment of realistic military tactics and doctrine. The group’s main activity are handcrafted campaigns. Campaign missions are run on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. Most often the campaigns depict realistic military operations, but we are not above more fantastical plots on rare occasions. CJTF-Theta does not have mandatory attendance policies. We understand the fact that life sometimes gets in the way of pastimes. The group also does not stipulate that we be the only DCS community that you participate with. If you are interested in joining, want to learn more, or just want to pop in now and then for a flight connect with us via our Discord linked beneath. I don't think this is a bug but I'm not entirely sure; any troubleshoolting support/assistance is appreciated. All of the messages that typically display on the right below the Options menus are no longer visible and I'm unable to located a setting or information on how to reenable them. I even tryed dropping my entire saved-games folder to bring them back but they are still not visible. When I request a crate from the CTLD menu or ask for Bogey Dope, my wingmates see that I initiate the call but it doesn't display for me. This occurs in VR as well as flat single monitor view. I've never utilized multiple monitors so I doubt they are somehow displaying outside the main montitors x/y coordinates but wouldn't even know how to confirm. There are no other issues being displayed, the Option menu displays where it always has, the left side messages (mail) displays where and like it always has as well. I have the same situation in flat screen as well as VR, in a quick mission, or multiplayer. They don't work in UH-1, F-18, AH-64, or CH-47 but I know they functioned prior to installing the CH-47 module. I've scoured the great Internet and these forums but am not even sure what that message area is called so it is difficult to search. I'm sure this is a local issue since my collegue's function on the same MP server but I'm at a lose short of fully dropping and reinstalling DCS which is very time consuming. I've tried doing a repair and clean via the DCS Updator tool, reset LUA via the VoiceAttack, deleted the User\...\DCS folder and recreated

Blades of Steel - Syria [Helicopter Sandbox] - by Element All Helo Modules (Single or Multiplayer) After the Syrian President was assassinated, that country fell into civil war as various groups fight for power. The city of Damascus is currently under siege by ruthless insurgents. Major airports and Syrian strongholds have been captured. As part of the Combined Joint Task Force (blue) we are to push the insurgents (red) out of Damascus and return peace to the city. Blades of Steel - is a PvE sandbox operation for all current DCS World helicopter modules and Syria Map. While I did develop this mission mainly for the huey and transport ops I do have missions and targets for more advanced helo modules such as sam sites, convoys, airfields, ect. You are able to play many different rolls from troop transport ops to recapturing airfields to completing ground strikes/attacks. Mission can also be play in singleplayer or multiplayer. This mission will provide hours and hours of flying fun with over 100+ different LZs for transport ops an even an option for Live Player Stats using my already included and installed EasyStats script. Features: - 100+ LZs for Troop Transport Ops - Troop Insertions - Troop Extractions - LZ's will smoke during the day and Flare at Night time.. - Combat Search and Rescue Operations (CSAR) - Ground Attack / Strike Missions - EasyStats for live player stats To Enable LIVE STATS You will need to edit your MissionScripting.lua file. Edit your MissionScripting.lua ("C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts") so EasyStats may create and save data. Comment out sanitizeModule('os'), sanitizeModule('io'), sanitizeModule('lfs'), and require It should look something like this... do --sanitizeModule('os') --sanitizeModule('io') --sanitizeModule('lfs') require = nil loadlib = nil end Strike / Ground Attack Missions Use menu to check for the latest targets for your unit. Also use F10 map to pinpoint its location. These will include convoys, SAM & EWR sites, as well as airfields and road outposts ect. Troop Transport Operations (DO NOT USE CTLD IF SELECTING ONE OF THESE MISSIONS) Inserts, Extractions, CSAR If you choose one of these roles and if troops are required they will be loaded and/or spawned automatically. No need to load troops via CTLD menu. Plan your route wisely! After you are assigned a mission and doing a transport operation be sure to check the F10 map so you may avoid problematic areas such as SAM sites, outposts, and strike/ground operation areas as they may provide a serious threat to your Huey or Mi8. You may wish to go around to avoid these areas during your mission. Manually Loading Infantry Troops - CTLD Menu Transport helos also have the options to transport troops into battle at any one of the current Strike / Ground Attack operations. Just be sure to drop troops within 3000 Meters of a target and troops will march and attack target. Check out the F10 Map for current ground/attack missions. Use the CTLD -> Transport menu to load troops. Most of these operations will be very tough for transport helios alone. Load troops at White Smoke at airfields or anywhere on a FARP. Things to Know: Ambush Attacks: Uh1 Hueys and Mi8s will need to stay vigilant as its very possible you may be attacked randomly by insurgents while in Enemy Territory. SAM Threats: SAM Threats are very likely , fast and low is the way to go when performing troop transport ops Download Blades of Steel Syria - By Element Support Developer - If you enjoy this mission or any other my other missions and/or scripts please consider supporting! Enjoy!! Element ********************* Updates / Change Logs 12-10-2020 - LZ's fill smoke during the day, and flare during night time ops 12-11-2020 - Fixed bug with CSAR tasks 12-15-2020 - Added 10 Addls CSAR LZs 6-16-2021 - Added the New Mi-24P Hind & Added the latest version of Easy Stats
