Svend_Dellepude Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 The manual basically says (massive paraphrasing on my part): If the CAS pops, slow the bleep down and fly very carefully. I could imagine that. It's not because i expect flying around at M1.0 without CAS to be safe, I'm just wondering why the aircraft pitches down so violently and why i can't maintain level flight above 30K at >0.9 M without trimming or backpressure. Question: If i understand correct the CoG should be in front and below center of pressure, is that correct? Maybe linked to NAV mode or selectable toggle between Stores display and Map ? I fully agree . It need not be clickable can be only by hotkey or similar to SU-27. 1

104th_Maverick Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Are you starting the mission with fuel tanks on then removing them? Start the mission clean with no weapons and no fuel tanks. Your internal fuel will be 100% at 13400lbs Then rearm with only weapons, the aircraft will fly straight. wilbur81 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) No more break turns? Hey, folks. I'm using the old Saitek X45 and FC3 1.2.14. The F-15's AFM seems pretty cool, but I have a real problem with its performance during a good old fashioned break turn (left or right). I've read some things about making sure that you're not introducing dual inputs, but I've tried many times to carefully roll 90, release to center, then pull straight back with both gradual and quick stick deflection. No matter what, I get a nice smooth level break turn (with the VV right on the horizon) for a couple of seconds and then the jet just mysterious begins to roll in the opposite direction of my turn (ex. I break turn to the left, the jet begins to roll right) and I have to just completely release the controls as no amount of careful rudder, pitch, or roll provides any corrective. Thoughts? I'm entering these turns at or above corner speeds (350-420kts) - W81 Edited January 3, 2015 by wilbur81 i7 8700K @ Stock - Win11 64 - 64gb RAM - RTX 3080 12gb OC

See if there are any erroneous inputs that are rolling the aeroplane in the opposite direction. HiJack Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Trimming now works much better. thank you! If you are refering to the current OpenBeta, yes the F-15C is more stable in flight and keeps level when accelerating. So thank you ED

So thank you ED  Was refering to the version 1.2.16.37730.701. Maybe it was introduced before. I've been away for a while. But trimming seems much less coarse now and AAR is much easier as well. Didn't have much time for the new beta yet, so i cant say too much about it. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.
