Raven68 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 you don't approve of continued work on the F-15C AFM? Actually I thought it was close to being done and at this point there was just fine tuning to the AFM to be done. Sounds like there is still quite a bit to be done. Dont get me wrong I like F-15 and the AFM, but things appear to be getting dragged out and impacting other projects IMHO of course. Forgive me for coming off ungrateful as I am having one of MY moments today, but this seems to be happening more and more around here. Perhaps more sleep and more coffee will help me... ExGreyFox Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Not a single AFM Russian jet. Cmon ED, as the developers of Su-27 Flanker (1995) could have at least had the 27 AFM before the 15. That Flanker 1.0 is turning in its grave! ED Team NineLine Posted May 22, 2014 ED Team Posted May 22, 2014 Back to the Dora... Translated with Google: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=124846 Well , you can begin to share some observations on the resulting plane. Sometimes goes very funny ... model has long life of its own , from time to time presenting surprises, often pleasant . Recently, while in the process of writing a manual on the plane , Andrew Siskin found that the oil temperature at engine warming water temperature should be nailed as though according to the original by the end of a manual should keep warm 60 -70C and about 45C water oil. Steel watch , why we did not correspond , quickly found out that the oil temperature sensor stuck in the wrong tube : it is necessary to exit from the block , and he was brought up at the outlet of the heat exchanger. Screwed up and where it is necessary water oil 60 42 70 50 (this is not a device, and a debugger ) Then oil overtakes water which is kept at specified automatic doors , radiator. Well , the engine warmed up , began to steer (although you can warm up in the taxi , as it is known ) . Taxiing plane behaves exactly like Mustang , affects if I'm not mistaken , another relative loading tail wheel , and the inability to control it. If the Mustang could turn on a dime , not even rasstoporiv rear wheel with Dora this liberty does not pass. Moreover, steer (if not direct) falls with rasstoporennym wheel. But then again - with the steering difficulties arise, the plane is completely predictable , although often requires double movements RN and brakes. On the run . It so happened that in the process of cloning the rear wheel of the Mustang was a small error , which resulted in one of the rear wheel assemblies ceased to stop. I discovered it quite by accident after taking off ten times , without finding the slightest inconvenience in the process. Technique quite understandable : the gas to 2400-2600 rpm , handle all the way over , release the brake pedal a lot right , let's go , quickly Fending pedals withdrawal , with the growth rate of the right leg is required is not much to add takeoff ( 3250 ) , carefully at speeds above 100-120 km / h rear wheel lift ... more nothing special. Well, about the same as the wheel got stuck, but the gas can start to work with more vigor . With the acquisition of skill , of course. Since the load on the wing Dora more than the Mustang , and the load-bearing properties of the wing itself worse , it can and should take off with flaps slightly , although the long strip , of course, can do without them . In the air . The plane did not fit tightly to the bends . And not too steady . Dived , dovernul hit ( firepower , concentrated on the course , just horrible ... if hits the target ) , escaped. 2000 -plus horsepower at low altitudes that are very helpful . Sound ... well, you try it. I will not sing . Alignment ... walks about 8 %, mainly depending on the fuel consumption rate , which is very noticeable. Approach and landing . As usual , although landing on 2 points harder than the Mustang , even with minimal dressing. Landing speed is much higher. Embarking on a three-point makes no difficulties . When landing on a three-point alignment allows high . On the run ( morally ) is stable . And even with rasstoporennym wheel ( see above ) .
