Look at the aid numbers given by the West- US, UK, France, Germany, etc, that goes down to that nation. Essentially, the US paid Ghana for their privilege of kicking Clint Dempsey in the face...

An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

Costa Rica won, and although it was penalties (Did I mention I hate penalties?) they deserved it. Next stop for them is the Netherlands. He stuck his foot out in front of Robben, in the penalty area, which made contact and you say honest hard work? How was Robben supposed to avoid that? They challenged him in the zone, 3 times, and you know what they say about third time. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P

First half Mexico played much better though, but in the second half they lost grip after the Dutch started switching there tactics rapidly. What did they play again? 5-3-2 4-3-3 3-3-4 All in the same match, and especially in the 2nd half very solid team play. And as such a well deserved win. Still, if Mexico would have won it would also have been well deserved, both teams gave everything they had till the end. As for the penalty, it wasn't the worst tackle of the competition for sure. Then again, the second challenge on Robben in the penalty zone was a definitive penalty (twice) and was not given. This one; This was the second reason in the same instance for a penalty, the first one would have been after Rafael Marquez kicked him on his heel couple seconds before this photo.
