Thats what I did. They blew it up too early and now things have died off.

I don't think they blew it up too early, I think they were not as close to release as they thought they were, it would appear their 'internal' beta test team was very small and because it is so small, the number of bugs they found was small, as soon as they expanded the team by giving it to 10+ reviewers, the bug list went up in kind.

For example, notice that Cobra hasn't spoken of the release date at all in the last little while, no "Soon". The last one was a 'promised' update in the early days of September. Not a peep since.

Err......on a lighter note!

I was faffing around doing searches and came across Leathernecks Facebook page (I'm not on Facebook at all so have never seen these screenies before!) and it just blew me away.......completely.

Link...... https://www.facebook.com/pages/DCS-Mig-21Bis/515416408503951?sk=photos_stream&ref=page_internal

The detail is astounding, just look at that ejection seat! and the rest of the pit looks extremely realistic with that old well used look. Absolutely brilliant work. I assume we are going to be able to see all this when you look around the pit with Trackir?

This shot https://www.facebook.com/515416408503951/photos/pb.515416408503951.-2207520000.1410008920./584432838268974/?type=3&theatre sure brings home how cramped the cockpit on this aircraft really was, I can almost smell it, it looks so good!

The external detail on the skin with the chipped paint and exposed rivets!!

I applaud the guy's at Leatherneck for this astounding piece of work.

Now......gimme.....gimme....gimme!!!!! :pilotfly:

great find for those pics ... thanks ... i dont have FB so i have never seen those ...thanks for sharing ! :P

I'm pretty sure you'll all be very hyped up in the coming days, considering what we're announcing.

Preview copies went out too early because our initial release window was timed in conjunction with them.

Here is my WISH,

F4 Phantom (don't even care if you can use Dual Cockpit).

or

OV10 Bronco

or

F8 Crusader

The Phantom and the Crusader would be a perfect match to the Mig 21.

And my prediction is still intact for a release on the 24th of Sep (which I made about 2 months ago)

I actually hate words like that from devs "in the coming days" because to me that means something different than it does to most devs. Today is Sat, from my skewed perspective I would expect that announcement by Mon at the very latest.

kinda like 'soon', As a buddy said to me, "If you had a long lost friend that called you up and said he was coming to visit soon, you wouldn't expect it to be 2+ months later".

I know people 'hate' me for busting your chops but do you even realize how many times you have said this now. "Dev update coming soon", "More videos coming soon", "More announcements coming" and "More goodies coming soon" and NOTHING.

To me, "in the coming days" means something like "probably in the coming week" (otherwise it were rather "in the comming weeks" :o). I would give them at least a few working days, not calendar days (yes, I know, they probably will work all weekend as well, but still).
