How long did it take for you guys to notice the stuttering? I did some tests earlier, just a few mins, and I never saw anything like that.

Performance of DCS: MiG-21bis has improved with the last patch. No noticeable losses in the quality of the model or the cockpit. Now it makes fun to fly with her and I can finally learn how to handle her :)

After a reboot the "big" micropauses incl. stopping sound are gone, but overall in the Mig (didn´t check anything else so far after rebooting) it´s not as fluid as before.

Never measured FPS before or after, but before all was just smooth, now it feels not necessarily like low FPS but like being fluid but with 10 small stutters per second. Hard to describe I hope y´all understand what I mean.

.

It is similar for me. While the performance seemed to stay somewhat the same, I started to experience those micro stutters.

This started to happen with this patch, and wasn't present before.

EDIT: I just realised the Updater removed the changes I made in the "graphics.lua". I set the "maxfps = 40;" to 40 again (120 is the default value) and now it is as smooth again as it was before.

Maybe you guys, having similar stutters, try the same?

Hmm, I have never changed anything in that file before. I have to admit I don´t even know where I can find it, lol

I have had similar, not just since the patch release but earlier. Not always, but often enough to be annoying.

Thanks john, I will give this fix a try.

Yep, will try too when I have the time to fly.

What was the default value before this patch ? Just asking as I never "messed" with it and the stutters where introduced with this patch.

I think it has been 120 for a long time.

Try disabling aero interface. I gained a few fps doing that.

What exactly is the aero interface?

There are code optimizations in place for 1.2.11; but no changes in 3d or 2d artwork.

2D and 3D will receive modifications? Have you seen these errors Cobra847? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=133338

Have taken a hell of a FPS hit in 1.2.11 from a solid 60fps in 4k DSR down to low 30's!

Only other changes have been my antivirus and resetting my bios due to a system clock issue... (reloaded previous settings though)

Same here,

but not sure if is it only mig related or whole dcs - recently flying mig only :-)

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but in my case I only experience performance loss in MP.

When I load in any pit (A-10C KA-50 or FC3), the loading finishes in under 30 seconds before I can do anythin. The MiG 21 is another story. After waiting for 5-10 minutes of loading before I could do anything (look at map or scoreboard ex.) I gave up.

In singleplayer the pit loads under 30 seconds regardless of settings.

I don't think this is a hardware issue, I have a i7 core combined with a GTX860m card.

If this has been said before, please ignore. Otherwise this might be usefull info.

I love the MiG and I want to take it up against others, but this isn't funny anymore. Guess I'll have to fly other fighters in the meantime.
