Stardog765 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Ahh ok thanks. I will give that a try tonight and let my friend know who is also in the same situation.
Bravo020 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 One option that might be available [FOR NON STEAM users] is to jump back a release, that way you'll be able to continue with FC3 and not suffer the issue in the current release version. The following link provides instructions on how to revert to an earlier release. Just make sure that you don't upgrade again afterwards until such time as a fix is released; else you'll be back to the same situation. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 Of course reverting back a release isn't going to allow access to the MiG21, but if you're only interested in FC3 then that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Oh so it was the adding of the Mig 21 that caused this? It needs to be fixed asap
PE_Tigar Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Oh so it was the adding of the Mig 21 that caused this? It needs to be fixed asap Just to set things straight, it has nothing to do with the MiG-21bis module, it's just that the DCS World update which - among other things - enabled the addition of MiG-21, also broke the file structure by renaming one of the folders...
panther494th Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 hi there the 15 missions have moved not gone there in the game folder or navigate to them. its odd in the game folder lots of duplicate files . hope it helps
Nooch Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 (edited) Su-25 campaign messed up by the new 1.2.10 patch Hi, I downloaded the latest patch recently and it looks like it deleted my progression in the su-25 cold war warrior campaign. So I decided to start it over but right after the loading was completed I had no aircraft to fly with. I had the following message in big letters "Your flight is delayed to start, Please wait". But the flight wouldn't start even after a while. The campaign worked fine before the patch so please consider fixing this soon, I'm sure it can be fixed easily. EDIT: Su-33 heavy sky and F-15C bear trap campaigns also don't work properly as they start in different aircrafts (su 33 starts in mig 29 and f-15 starts in su-27) Edited September 19, 2014 by Nooch [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

soupyc Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 LOL I was trying to start an A-10C campaign last night and it started me in the Su-25. Good stuff. Esac_mirmidon Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 It seems that opening every mission with the editor and save it again with a little change in your plane ( like the skin ) solves the problem. Deep time consuming work one by one mission but this solves the problem with any mission of any model or any campaign. " You must think in russian.." Stardog765 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Ok this process does not apply to a Steam install. So can I move my install out of Steam once its installed and find a copy of the updater exe? Anyone know?
SkateZilla Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Ok this process does not apply to a Steam install. So can I move my install out of Steam once its installed and find a copy of the updater exe? Anyone know? Steam Installs dont work with the DCS Updater, that's part of the Eagle Dynamics DCS Distribution. You'd have to download their installer and install a separate DCSW Install, Then Use DCS_Updater to go back a build, Then use Module Manager to install your Modules. Stardog765 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Thanks, thats what I was afraid of. This is annoying! You would think something like this would have shown up in testing. Especially before the big Steam sale. thanks for the help

Especially before the big Steam sale. thanks for the help http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2181703&postcount=2 It was an unfortunate couple miss-steps, I know the devs feel bad, and I, as a tester, feel bad about it as well. I am hoping to see a hot-fix/patch fairly soon. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
Itkovian Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 Campaign progress lost. Salutations. I just updated to the current version (from whatever version was current in early June), and now I find that my progress through the Black Shark deployment campaign is gone (might have been all progress, but that was the only campaign I had in progress). Is this a known issue, or standard effect of the upgrade? Is there a way to get back my lost progress? It should be noted that my logbook still shows that I have completed the 9 campaign missions I did, but in the campaigns menu all campaigns are listed as inactive. Thank you. Itkovian
Corrigan Posted September 20, 2014 Posted September 20, 2014 A recent patch changed the file structure, it changed DCS World/Mods/aircrafts to /aircraft. I might be wrong, but I suspect the campaign stuff is stored in aircrafts (which will be left as a vestige in your installation folder), and I think you should be able to dig those files out and just put them in their respective places in the new folder.
