That was back in the days when a flight was £21 per hour and I worked for an engineering company at the airport, had to give it up when my first kid came along, that and the prices in 1980 went through the roof, in a mater of months it went from the above to over £60/hour couldn't afford it!

Congratulations for at least having it for a while, that's a friggin unicorn right there.  

I still dream of owning a 1990s 2-stroke 250cc GP replica like that (RGV, NSR, TZR, KR1S, RS, etc). 
Unfortunately, near impossible these days, as they're as rare as hen's teeth and worth a lot of money now, if in pristine condition.

That and the old 500cc MX'ers, even if obviously impractical, they're the ones doing my mind every time I watch some nostalgia video of 80s and 90s GP and MX heroes.

Helmets are almost always a write off anyway. Regardless the magnitude of the crash. Which is unfortunate because they are so frickin' expensive. I think I had around 8-9 in my time (most of them trasehd on a track, only two in road accidents - one time I made a second evening turn even though the first was already bad and the second someone lookes me square in the eye and then took my right of way anyway....).

Two are still fine and collecting dust......

Hello cyclists,

i see all this fast and brutal stuff here, what about the cult from the east - SIMSON S 51 ...

50 ccm, 3,7 HP, one cylinder two stroke, makes 65 kph, hill down up to 85 kph, not tuned, just standard - Enduro conversion - the preowners dit it so kind of.

Nearly complete rebuilt -every screw personally- plus engine overhaul, reworked the whole electrics- for the coming winter a repaint in original colors, matching decals, new wheels, the tank needs a rust protection from inside and so on.

It's running, ideal for city traffic, overland too, doesn't need much fuel (oil mix 1:50).

Simsons are very expensive now, remember in the 90's, nobody wantet these anymore, they were all going for japanese stuff. Generations of kids worked on these so called Mopeds or Mokicks.

Now its mine and i'm happy with it.

The location is a former soviet fuel depot near Bernsdorf located between Kamenz and Hoyerswerda Saxony/Germany near the  polish border (not really).

Just discovered this thread. So 16 years on bikes from Honda CBR1100XX, Suzuki Hayabusa 1300, FJR1300 Yamaha, BMW 1600GTL, Kawasaki VN1700 Voayger. So added to my list of rides all big japanese 4 manufacturers.) This is how eldering happens))) 

But now HD FLHTKL electra glide ultra limited low rider. Love this bike.

I have no car only bikes.

Lucky one. Obviously in a garage. Mine all year in the open. Pane in the a... when doing inspection. My other bike was a good old BMW R80GS. Sold it last year with 115000 km. Too old for 2 wheels by now...

Hey Guys. Here's my Scarver. 

BMW F 650CS Scarver, 37.3 kW / 50 hp @ 6800 rpm. With drive belt. Original except for a few chrome parts.  

I mainly use it for trips between home and work. 

You have some beautiful machines ! Have a good drive at all times.

Nice One. Belt drive - no longer "Scott oiler" !

I used the BMW for the longer trips in summer (Baltic States, Southern France). The Ural for the rougher ones (Dragon Rally Wales UK, Elefantentreffen Nürburgring, international Ural meeting Finland). The bike now has 75000 km on the clock.

Sure is! Always wanted a gen5 zx-10r. Beginning 2024 made the decision to sell my 04 gen1 and this one became a possibility. So happy

It's in a suspension workshop at the moment, getting new fluids, seals and maybe other springs, depending on what's installed now.

Over the winter regular maintenance and some creature comforts/ergonomical upgrades..
