domini99 Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 rgr seems to happen randomly, not only in multiplayer
Deezle Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I've been having this problem a lot, not only recently. When I'm playing, sometimes the game just locks up for a couple of seconds, and then the graphics completely flip, showing me something like this: This is really really really annoying and ruins the game. I've been monitoring my hardware, and I can not see any issues. I also ONLY have these issues with DCS: World. No other game is showing giving me trouble. I've attached a recent log file if it helps any Does anybody know what is going on and how I can fix it? It happened 2 times already today, within a couple hours. Monitor your VRAM usage, this happened to me when I ran out of VRAM on my old card. Intel 9600K@4.7GHz, Asus Z390, 64GB DDR4, EVGA RTX 3070, Custom Water Cooling, 970 EVO 1TB NVMe 34" UltraWide 3440x1440 Curved Monitor, 21" Touch Screen MFD monitor, TIR5 My Pit Build, Moza AB9 FFB w/WH Grip, TMWH Throttle, MFG Crosswinds W/Combat Pedals/Damper, Custom A-10C panels, Custom Helo Collective, SimShaker with Transducer

hazzer Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 This is related to my post http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2452216 Could a mod please merge my thread to this one, I didn't realise I had posted mine in the wrong place and there was already a post about it  RTX 2080ti, I7 9700k, 32gb ram, SSD, Samsung Odyssey VR, MSFFB2, T-50 Throttle, Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals
domini99 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I've monitored RAM usage, VRAM usage, GPU load and CPU load. I had a spike of GPU load just before the issue appeared, VRAM was not even used 50% and RAM was used 80% CPU didn't have much load at it that moment.

That's strange because this is exactly what happens not long after the vram runs out RTX 2080ti, I7 9700k, 32gb ram, SSD, Samsung Odyssey VR, MSFFB2, T-50 Throttle, Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals

domini99 Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 I hope mine isn't, it's not even a year old :( Mine is over 3 year old, and it was a pretty cheap card that day. Won't be that surprised if it was giving out.
AtaliaA1 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 This is caused by heat issues also. Have you cleaned out the case lately? This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. AtaliaA1 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 I take good care of my PC, card does not come above 50 degrees. Good. I hope it isn't a bad memory chip on your GPU. domini99 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Good. I hope it isn't a bad memory chip on your GPU. I'm gonna take it through some tests, let's see what's up.
Rykane Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I get this issue too and it only happens when in the Virtual Aerobatics server. I don't get any other issues with any other games and my temps are fine. I've chalked it up to DCS either having a memory leak when there are too many aircraft/textures being loaded into VRAM, there is no way that DCS needs 4GB of VRAM at 1080p.
Aries Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Yup... same here... on Virtual Aerobatics usually... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ...the few, the proud, the remaining...
Shahdoh Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 On the Virtual Aerobatics server, we have a large variety of aircraft and unlike most combat servers, we allow external views. In testing, we have found its the external views that nearly doubles the VRAM usage. It also seems probable that there is a memory leak issue regarding the VRAM. If this is a problem for you on the VA, please eliminate or at least reduce your external view usage and see if that helps.

There was a long discussion about that a few months back. If memory serves, it was related to the pixilation used by DCS in the programming language. It has pixilation set very high like a 3D Pixar movie. Does anyone else remember this discussion? Couldn't find the thread as it is quite long in the tooth. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. kobalt_ Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 I can confirm it happens especially in VA server, on crowded evening... After about 30 mins flying in MiG21, graphics crashed. See Attach. My CG is a 750Ti, 2Gb VRAM, and monitoring logs show V memory was filled to max... Forerunner : FPS became slow a few minutes before...but GPU temp was ok. By the way, i never encountered this graphic issue in DCS, except while playing in VA server. For instance, playing in a very crowded 104th server (about 50 players connected, tons of objects, long time playing...), it never happened. Even though external view is disabled there ofc.
WildBillKelsoe Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Man this thread is high as ****... It keeps getting better! Hahahaha.... AWAITING ED NEW DAMAGE MODEL IMPLEMENTATION FOR WW2 BIRDS Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.
domini99 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I hope this get fixed in the next release, this is quite annoying sometimes
