i rather hope that 1C/777 make the spanish civil war, also due to the fact that they already have experience with biplanes. DCS can't even properly handle the late war propeller fighters (way to heavy jet-like flight feeling), they would definitely be overburdened with slow pace 1,5t kites

I'd rather they not. DCS handles the prop planes very well IMHO, while "the other game" suffers heavily from a horrible translation of the controller to the virtual stick resulting in a wobbly flight, unless you put your curves to like 65%... That's even with a Warthog. Then there is other problems like, the editor (or no editor), limited map size and the 'latest' design issues. No thank you.

With DCS at least we get some innovation within the genre aka click-able pits, proper radio, advanced ground handling, which no other WWII combat sim has done to this degree. There is completely no point in making another IL-2 about the Spanish War, since it's already done as a mod for 1946... It's also free.

Come to think of it, having gone back to the IL-2 series last week for a while, I am convinced that we should all just let it fade away. No use flogging a dead horse. Not saying that ED is the Jesus of flight sim devs, but once they deliver, they do deliver some really high quality stuff and do their own thing instead of using a "legendary flight sim brand" to gain traction.

On a side not, I still stand by my Korea vote, but Pacific also sounds interesting - would love to see how carrier landings would handle.

Please stay on topic, if you want to discuss 1C/777, they have their own forums to discuss their products. The topic is about ED and its future WWII products possibilities.

Your messages were deleted because you were OFF TOPIC, so just stop with the poor me attitude.... and I didnt see anything constructive anyways, just opinions based on another game.

SO one final time, stay on topic. If you think you found a bug, please, feel free to open an new thread...

What is the difference between using a fictional map and pretending that a non-fictional map is actually somewhere else, or nowhere at all?

here

...and nobody will ever again complain about Stangs over Georgia etc. :)

you wouldn't believe how many people use this argument against DSC ;)

I expect for that too, maybe DCS Europe 1944 can be that, the entire Europe and it can be the best late WWII simulator in the history.

I would like to see "Europe" expanded on, to the point that bomber runs could be conducted in the then Germany... Dambusters, Pathfinders/ Mosquito runs, factory bombing etc, then move over to The Pacific Theatre of Operations - to boost support and interest by way of keeping things fresh, before continuing to develop the African/ Italian Theatres.

Once those areas are well underway, a move to begin creating Vietnam Era

Did not read the whole thread but I will say Battle of France!

Curtiss hawks, mb152s, Hurris and Emil-1.

Further, Id be willing to pay for a promise of NO PAC THEATER! A fighter with carrier equipment is like a chick with outdoor plumbing.

what new theatre would you like to see for DCS: WWII?

For me I couldn't care less where the next map is...

I am just glad after all my years of flying sims, we are finally at a point where we have extremely detailed aircraft to fly. And to make it even better, we don't have corporate jets or airliners but iconic WW2 fighter planes with fully modeled systems, huge props, massive horsepower and machine guns!

This is truly a great time for flight sims & it only gets better from here.

Thank you ED and 3rd party developers for this :D

+1 to that :) we're getting spoilt for choice!!

All I want is a Hawker Tempest *drool*. Okay I'd settle for the Typhoon (but without the tail coming on a regular basis like the RL version did). 4 x 20mm Hispano cannon would be fun.
