Makes me wish I had mates that loved flightsimming, instead, I got UT 2k4 huggers that get headaches from the word "realism". They even find counter strike too tactical, damn retards! Yet, I got to a lan party, at which we'll only play ut 2k4 :( Man, that game doesn't deserve the 4.5gb on my HD, I'd rather have some good porn filling that space than some retarded point and click game that tests how good your mouse is and how fast you can click on a button :| Reminds me of labolotory tests in which monkeys have to press red buttons or something like that.

P.S. I don't suck too much at those retarded shooters, but I suck less with SWAT 4 and America's Army.

Oh, the video was hilarious, in a few days I'll show you a gidol entry my mate and I made (I was blazed that day, so out little dance isn't entirely in sync :P)

I used to play UT2003 and Quake 3 once a while. But thats when I needed to get a few laughs when I fragged my family on my home network (the other conputers are now too old to play other stuff).

But thats it. After a while it seases to be stimulating. it doent take much effort to press the trigger and spray the air with lead all the time in the hopes of getting someone, because tactics is something alien in these games as so is inteligence. On top of this someone always leaves those munitions spread arround so they can be killed and aparently the human body can heal instantly, again pharmacetics would be pissed to see so many drugs spread all over the floor. ;)

I tried specialised FPS'es but I always get PWNED by those who have better mice than me. Shrab shrab sharb, and I cant shrab fast enough or precise enough. Nor will I buy a 100 dollar game pad or mouse to keep on top of the game. I spent 2 years playing LOMAC with a 50€ Thrustmaster Afterburner, and the tactics still allowed me to overcome the disavantage to those with Cougars and CH's.

I feel I need to point out a little somthing here. I myself enjoy simming more than FPS games, although I do enjoy a little BF2 from time to time. My point is this - people moan that it isn't realistic and that you cant just heal gun wounds with a healthpack etc. Which is true enough, but thats the point of the game, at no point does it claim to be a true representation of R/l. I also humbly submit that if Lock on was true to life, after your first major crash/pilot death from missile impact, then you should never be able to play the game again - cos your dead.

Its still different. You cant repair the aircraft with powerups hanging in the air nor enter bezerk mode.

In LOMAC, respawining works as different pilot.

sorry.. I just thought it was dumb.. maybe it was the kenny loggins tune....

I'm not sure but I think it was from all the gut spasms that was pulsing thru me when the song started...

Thanks,

True, but it's set up to facilitate the style of gameplay. It can hardly be called unrealistic, when its not trying to be. The weapons/health packs/beserk mode/adrenaline or whatever from your favourite/most hated (!) FPS, are all part of the fantasy environment.

As for respawning as a different pilot. Well I'm sure that would be well handy in real life! I'd love to be able to respawn as someone else once I'm dead! It may simulate your virtual pilots death, but goes on to simulate your reincarnation as someone else! Not somthing that happens to r/l pilots too often as far as I'm aware!

Also, I'm pretty sure I've written off more 25T's than have ever been built, but theres allwasy one waiting for me when I load the game =)
