it has very important purpuse, so people dont spamm fighters like candy you actualy have to THINK about your engegements and dont rush in like lives does not matter

'controlling' the Ka50 feels like a discussion with the Autopilot and trim system about the flight direction.

Make it a 5min ban per death and THEN people will behave like that ;) ( or 10min)

 

Stats would help alot aswell.

Had a nice chat with Chrinik in the teamspeak after getting a pm from him.

Will have to mention this again. Whoever feels the server doesn't fit him he can simple not join again.

 

The server is free to join and we don't owe specific features to anyone.

 

We barely have time to deal with complaints, trolling and getting our thread full of flaming. If you have feedback about the way the features work or new ideas, we are more than welcome to listen and deal with any issues. We already shown this in the previous rounds.

Ok just a quick update:

 

Lives System:

 

After the next restart in a few hours the lives system should be:

  • Transport Chopper - UH1 / Mi8 - 8 Lives
  • Everything else - 4 lives

 

These lives are completely separate. You could crash your F-15/SU-27 4 times and then still have some fun flying transport.

 

When you're out of lives completely you should be able to still jump into the GCI Slot.

 

You can check your current lives by typing -lives in All Chat at any time

 

CSAR

 

CSAR is currently removed as it was causing some of the lag. Unfortunately it'll have to be rewritten to bring it back in so it might not make this round. Sorry guys!

 

Other Stuff

 

Another major change is we can now change coalitions for players instantly during gameplay rather than waiting till restart which'll make your lives easier if you've chosen the wrong side. :)

 

More FARPS are being added as well which'll fix the players exploding by spawning into each other but this is not a quick process... For now, try to use TS and chat to not all spawn at once. You also shouldn't lose lives if you do explode on the FARP as long as you've not taken off. If you do, please post screenshots and we can verify.

 

Again, still testing, everything is subject to change but I hope this helps update you with some of our work.

Sounds good!

 

Question: Ive tried the Intel script, but the Bombers are very very unaccurate...not hitting anything in the city or on the farp they were attacking.

 

Can you maybe increase their loadout/ make them more accurate?

How often can someone change coalition? maybe if you change coalition there`s a cooldown for a few hours/day before you can change again, maybe only one change per round.

 

or prevent taking GCI slot for the day after changing coalition (we don`t want any spying...)

I agree with the more targeted bombers for the intel portion. I've been messing with the Hawk quite a bit during this testing phase. The difficulty of getting a jet with no EWR, countermeasures or radar over an enemy airfield and back to friendly territory should, imho, have a greater payoff. The juice really isn't worth the squeeze at this point and doesn't contribute too much to the combined effort. Even with CAP escort, you still have a lot of ground threats.

 

Other than that, thank you guys very much; I can't believe this is free. I am not jealous of all the immaturity y'all have to deal with on these forums. Thank you for your team's hard work because I know this is a massive undertaking.

When the Blue Flag round 6 starts it should not be possible to switch sides until round 6 is over! I don't think admins at BluddySpike would like to sit an flip flop players from side to side.

Excellent work. Shame about CSAR but as its something I think many would see as secondary or even tertiary then for sake of lag is understandable.

 

I think the 8 lives for transports is fair.

I am okay with 8 transport lives too. I believe the Gazelle should not be able to carry equipment though. Troops would be okay but a 500kg radar? I do not believe this should be there. But, if this is to hard to code into the mission then I am okay with that the Gazelle is very slow when it is weighed down with a Kub system and has a hard time climbing.

I hope there is some sort of limit to team switching. Maybe one switch per round? If not, team switching is definitely going to be exploited.

There is no side switching during the official rounds.

This is valid only during the testing sessions cause there are changes in aircraft availability and some may want to fly only with them.

Hello guys, this is my first time playing in such server with the gazelle(Blue side). Was kinda confused what to do at first, looked up the chat and finally figured where the action is.

 

However, there were only two spawn slots that's available for the gazelle, and it was near the coast, and the ongoing conflict were at MM05 about 131nm from my base, which means that it would take me roughly an hour just to fly there, probably able to carry two HOT missiles at most.

 

Is that normal? It just sounds a little ridiculous. I'm probably doing something wrong,right?

No, Gazelle slots will be available also on all airbases. Right now they are only available in the FARPs. More FARPs added in the mission file which will load after the restart in order to test reducing any colitions between pilots when they spawn.

 

Will try to find time and add the remaining Gazelle slots tonight.

Speaking of collision, that happened to the spawn that I was using. I spawned and 'teamkilled 'another player that was at the same helipad. I forgot to take note on which spawn slot tho. Will let you know if it happens again.

Just a quick notice: when you land at a friendly airfield, go to spectators and then relocate to another airfield, it counts your loss but your lives in the script remain the same, don't know if it is intended or not but you guys might want to look into that to avoid any problems during the round.

I've been kicked on the server for being ping too high(300ish,playing in Asia) today, and unable to join back since... Are you guys only testing this temporarily, or am I forever screwed? :/

 

I hope it's the former as I'm planning to join a clan and go fully dedicated on this server. :/

Seems to be an issue with the KA-50 laser.

 

 

I will show erroneous ranges. Example is a tank at 8KM you lase it and it shows 8KM then it suddenly switches to show 4.6KM for no apparent reason.

 

Only had this issue on this server.

 

At work right now so I can't post a track

Some very nice people decided to join the opposite team to call GCI from the enemy slots..Good work there.
