I guess steam version works fine for everyone, the issue in the stand alone updater.

i have now few people unable to update as well, they just open the DCS_Updater and nothing updates.

It seem i have the old ground textures back...

I thought the same. When entering the Quick Mission Rocket practise with the Albatros, the snow covered landscape is gone... just green with some scattered snow left...

But we have a nice Mirror added to the L-39

Outgunned, outnumbered, though never outclassed!!!

OK got it to work now...by...

Deleted the Mig-21 folder.

Did the update from the command prompt.

Did a repair.

Ran a Mig 21 mission...did another activation.

But this is a pain...and the second time since the Beta started that I had to use a Mig21 Activation

One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales...

:)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

Nevada will likely be an order of magnitude larger. It will also probably require a separate install rather than an auto-update. Besides, Nevada is supposed to run on 2.0, not 1.5.1.

I'm about 35% through a 2.49GB download. Sure is a big son of a gun. Hoping it is filled with goodies only. Reading some break stories in here...

Well I hope I don't have the problem some of you are having with the Mig 21, control bindings, textures etc.

Something is not quite right though. 3.053 GB download here, but only coming down at 120 KB/ s, where for the last year + the DCS severs normally max out my connection at 1.1 MB/s.

Gonna be a while at this speed.

Download halted. Restarted. Maybe the server is getting hammered.

....and half way through it dropped out due to server capacity. Might give ED a couple of days to sort this out before I try the update again.
