ramazoti Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 found this nice video i hope that they cam implemented in World 2 at least Or Geforce GTX 970 Inter Core I7 4790 CPU @ 4.00GHz 16.00 GB RAM
Gargoil Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 My mind was just blown away :D That's superbly looking. Wish we'll have something like that in DCS
Why485 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Those are rendered out with render times likely on the order of hours for those videos. You're not going to see particle effects like that from anybody in a real time game for a long time. I guess you could use it as reference material for making an effect but to say "implement this", then point to a rendered out CGI video is a pretty ridiculous thing to say.
HiJack Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Awesome effects! Mind your frames boys :) but who knows what tomorrow brings :music_whistling:
Cobra847 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Those are rendered in FumeFX/Afterburn and take hours per frame. There are other, great real-time explosion solutions (see BF, Just Cause 3, etc.) -- but this exmaple is not very appropriate. kripzoo Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Those look way too photorealistic, to be in the current graphics engine / textures :D
ED Team NineLine Posted September 30, 2015 ED Team Posted September 30, 2015 I am sure we will get nice pretty new explosions, they might take a little bit to come along, but I think they know thats a big part of blowing things up :) Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
grunf Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Will nuclear explosion be fixed in 1.5/2.0, with proper mushroom cloud?

eurofor Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Did we not have visible shockwaves already? Actually you're right. For some reason I completely forgot about it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
giei Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 Mad Max probably implement the best fire/somke/explosion system in a videogame. IMO I'm flying since 1988 (Flight Simulator 3.0) :pilotfly:
Esonub Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 ohh that was sick dude !!! i bet we get some nice explosions on 2.0 ;) | DCS World Nub's Cockpit Channel | https://www.youtube.com/NubsCockpit
Witchking Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 found this nice video i hope that they cam implemented in World 2 at least Or OMG!! If DCS had these..I would be ecstatic. Imagine fluid effects of smoke and fire like that.... Just like how we see explosions and smoke get affected by wind etc. that would be so cool. ED have truly made something special with the missile smoke in EDGE. I couldn't imagine anything better. Has the nice dynamic fluid motion...the dispersion that I can see in most RL videos. Really looking forward to see where they take the special fx. TomOnSteam Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Is there such a thing as a pre-rendered 3D explosion? kind of like a sprite but 3D somehow? Then it might be possible to have something with this insane detail in DCS. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cockpit Spectator Mode
